i havent been here in a hot minute HELLO

i slowly lost interest in lads bc raf myth drained the poopy out of me idk if i told u ab my pulls or whatnot bc lowkey i dont even remember what happened during those two weeks! i know i spent money who knows how much only my bank account will know…. (i think ti was like.. 28???) and past that point i went im never spending money again

.. until the wedding banner and i was like ohh poopy not AGAIN but then ppl started complaining ab the raf myth being real short and then i was like ok i dont need it! until i started pulling and i was like IM ON A RAF CARD STREAK RN I CANT STOP NOW. so i pulled.. AND LOST MY 5050 TO ZAYNE I WAS GOING THROUGH IT OHHH MY GOODNESS IM STILL MAD until uh a few bajillion pulls later! (the login event helped a LOT + the unicorn thing that i lowkey dont know how it works but we made it through it to get the gems.. but i didnt spend anything so YAY) so i got his card + his outfit hehehhe and now we wait until next quint which is supposedly after xav myth!

currently planning to skip xavier myth for the quint but we all know i have a slight gambling addiction so pulling st least a few times is guaranteed.. 🙁 whateva…

Do you have any LADS combat tips for using the claymore? I cannot use that weapon to save my damn life and I have no Sylus companions, so I am stuck on his mid-50s orbits with everyone else between 63-80. I’ve done the tutorial over and over, but there’s such a huge gap between one training enemy and a trash mob I can’t keep up.

i typed a whole thing and of course tumblr fucking ate it…

i actually only just learned how to use the claymore. my biggest advice is to just keep trying. i swear when i first started using it it was clunky and barely did any damage because i couldn’t string my auto attacks together correctly while efficiently stacking the claymore passive

so my rotation is usually quick charge 3 stacks as i start the battle (dodge & wait for orange ping -> auto -> dodge -> auto). then long press the active skill for the empowered attack

and then i usually long press the auto attacks (heavy attack) for damage. long press -> dodge -> long press -> dodge. for the dodge, use it as mc hits the ground to skip the long animation. don’t press the next auto right away, wait for the orange claymore ping.

I'm sitting at trial 80 for all the LIs! (except Sylus, I'm stuck on 70 bc I don't have AS 😔😔😔) and 88 for open orbit! I've also gotten 65 stars in fluctuant orbit with only lvl 60 memories and lvl 6 protocores!!!

Also I'm consistently getting 27 stars in senior hunter contest ☺️☺️

I feel like I'm doing pretty well for myself!

I'm learning that not only does using each companion correctly in battle and taking advantage of their skills important but ALSO your affinity level with them affects their strength in battle a lot! My lvl 74 affinity with Caleb does not get me NEARLY as far as my lvl 106 affinity with Zayne 🤔🤔 (also MoF is so so so cracked compared to Foreseer like wtf)

it’s SO important to learn to use the companions correctly. i went from being able to use resonance skill maybe 1.5 times a battle with FA to being able to use it maybe 3-4 times in the same battle because i learned how to use him correctly

its actually so important to learn the boss mechanics too. sometimes you have to hold your ult/etc depending on the specific boss and their movement/cutscene patterns

i think lads combat is so hecking fun but the only issue is the power creep is bad :/

i will say this. as high school is 3y in china and not 4 like the west, mc and caleb, like we’ve always known, are 2 years apart. they are maybe 16/18 in this mem.

this is not weird to me because 1. the card is not inherently sexual. is it romantic? yes. and there’s nothing wrong w that to me. why? they’ve had feelings for each other since they were BOTH minors, they’ve known each other forever, and there’s just no grooming or power play involved to me. i wont rlly entertain anything otherwise. its upsetting. caleb is my comfort character and i cherish him. im rlly tired of people making nasty scenarios to fit him into their anti narrative. it makes light of real issues (that i myself have experienced) and its incredibly upsetting

sorry to get really dark but overall

i adored it. i love to see the true depth of calebmc’s need for one another and how it manifested in much more innocent ways (before EVER and the Fleet getting involved). i love to see how much mc needed caleb, and caleb needed her to need him. i love to see how desperately caleb fought to keep her safe and maintain boundaries between them, because he thought that was best at the time.

i love that it is a juxtaposition of endless summer, both visually and story wise.

I always found it interesting how Perse's kindled felt a bit more melancholic than the other guys? Of course there's still the sexiness to it but him trying so hard to restrain himself is so :(((((

this is why i hate when people compare LIs (oh this LI’ multi banner wasn’t as spicy. this LI got his kiss way sooner, etc) because i do feel like it’s done on purpose. it’s not because any specific LI is prioritized by infold or hated by infold. each LI seems to have their own writing team that’s well versed in THAT dynamic.

for example. speaking as a non raf girly here so ofc my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.

i thought them covering their kiss in his wedding mem was so fitting. how they were under the veil and such. i find rafs overall story and dynamic to be very victorian, very chaste slow burn. as the sea god he is very traditional, and his memories read that way

ALSO, I was scrolling thru lads twitter earlier and I thought back to those asks you answered a while back. It really is as scary as they say, aeyumi, stay away from there 😭😭😭 Just came across a post slandering non-MC reader lovers (literally linking to a Tumblr post from an account I can't find anymore, I truly think they bullied this creator into hiding) and it honestly broke my heart

They act so weird and gatekeepy over there (not to mention sexist and racist), and then turn around and call Tumblr lads fans the weird ones for indulging in OC content that doesn't involve the poster child for Chosen One fated soulmate lovers (note: I don't personally hate MC, I can just see why a lot of people have trouble self-inserting. she's pretty one-dimensional, but I figure that's the point when you want to make a wide audience able to put themselves in her shoes)

I truly only be on lads twitter for the photo booth QR codes and fanart, they're so mean-spirited over there 😮‍💨

i know exactly which post you’re talking about i quite literally just saw it. ur right it was deleted and the tumblr blog i think also deactivated or deleted the post (i saw a screenshot of it before it was taken down)

i can see why some people don’t resonate with or even like mc…i don’t think anyone should be hated for not really liking the canon mc. NOT EVERYONE self inserts, and so they do not see themselves as MC. and i think that’s okay

BUT i can also see why people took issue with exactly what was said about mc in that post 😭 i also understand why people get offended. some people do self insert so when you insult mc, you’re insulting them

my issue is just….if someone has a different opinion than you just leave them be. it’s not the end of the world. the internet is so fucking vast and you’re going to come across what you deem to be REALLY DUMB opinions and

twitter really is a difficult place to be. i still can’t pull away from it fully so i am part of the problem HAHAHA. i just scroll past things that bring me negativity now and post about caleb and the guys. i no longer feel the need to defend every single one of my opinions, or explain myself to anyone.

i do agree that i find that twitter users can be really judgmental about very typical fandom content and tropes and they do turn around and try to make you feel odd for indulging in honestly very normal content. like i’m not even talking dead dove content at all, simply just things you wouldn’t see in non otome media

i think i usually sum up twitter and ladstwt in one phrase:

if you don’t have the same opinion (like or don’t like mc. en or cn loc. general li opinions) as someone they often take it as a personal attack

the parasocialism with lads is really scary. i can see why, people are PASSIONATE about this game. about their mcs, about their LIs (even i can get kinda weird and gate keepy about caleb LMAO). but it gets to a point.

i will say while twitter can be awful, it can be really nice too :( i’ve met some of my closest lads buddies on there. but, my overall tumblr experience is much more wholesome.
