tips for regressors with periods!

keep your socks on, little one!
our feet are our temperature regulators! if your feet are warm, your body will be much warmer <3 being warm relaxes our muscles and promotes blood flow to lessen any pain!
try to sleep in a better position!
clutch a stuffie to your chest and sleep in the fetal position to reduce pressure on your back! or you can try to loaf like a kitty cat with a pillow under your chest and stomach!
drink warm beverages!
warm water is always a go-to, but there are yummier options too!
you can try ginger/chamomile/raspberry leaf tea (add honey to sweeten) if you like, or some warm angel milk <3 you can add a little bit of tumeric to your angel milk with a dash of cinnamon and the tiniest bit of black pepper to activate it (no, you can't taste the pepper! trust me!)
oh, and this is the perfect time to drink some hot chocolate as well! (try out dark chocolate if it isn't too bitter for you!)
please eat your fruits and veggies!
carrots, oranges, apples, mangoes, broccoli, spinach, sweet potatoes, beans, peas, and lentils are some good options to incorporate into your diet! try making a yummy smoothie or adding a new veggie to your dinners <3
use a heating pad (be careful)!
you can use an electric one if you have one, but here are some more afforadable options:
- use a hot water bottle or thermos
- make a small pouch out of fabric and make sure the ends are fully glued/sewn shut! fill it with uncooked rice and secure the last opening. warm it up in the microwave for about a minute and boom! a reusuable heating pad <3
- dampen a washcloth and put it in a plastic bag. warm it in the microwave for thirty seconds and use it on top of a blanket or your shirt if it's thick enough!
- (last resort option) my laptop gets really hot when i play the sims because i have sooo many mods hehe, but i just make sure there's a barrier between my skin and the laptop and it works as a heating pad! plus, i get to play my games comfortably
overnight pads and period diapers!
i know many people dislike overnight pads because of how bulky they are, but they are a good alternative if you don't have access to or dislike diapers! they are mostly mess free and you don't have to get up often in the middle of the night! they are also really comforting if you like a little bit of padding when regressed.
period diapers are always a good option! they can be worn under flowy skirts and dresses and aren't as noticeable as other types of diapers! they are really comfy too!
warm baths!
bring in your favorite toys, your bubbliest soaps, and your favorite tunes! just make sure your bathwater isn't too hot, okay? i recommend adding a little bit of coconut oil into the water to make your skin super soft!
if you are experiencing dry skin or have eczema, try an oat bath! you can use a food processor to ground up oats so they dissolve in the water, or you can pack some oats into a clean sock/tights, tie off the end, and let it soak in the water!

As someone who’s autistic and also deals with BPD, I experience regression as both an autistic trait and a way to cope with trauma. Sometimes it’s about unmasking and feeling safe in that soft, vulnerable space. Other times, it helps me manage overwhelming emotions because sometimes my emotions can be too big for me to handle. That’s one of the reasons why I started my Tumblr to answer questions like this and help others understand the many sides of regression. It’s so important to recognize how personal and varied this experience can be, since it's not the same for everyone.
Does anyone else view their regression/dreaming as more of an autistic trait than anything else?
I don't even know if I should be saying it's a trait?
For me it feels like I'm unmasking and even when I'm not regressed I still do/enjoy childlike things.
I wouldn't say I have trauma nor that my regression stems from trauma. My regression just feels like a vulnerable, soft headspace where I can just unwind and unmask. I honestly just didn't grow out of things -like toys and playing- and started masking (I especially noticed it when I was 10) to fit in with my peers who were growing out of things. I didn't want to be left behind and friendless.

My little baby has requested a list of "rules" for him to go by, I will share them here.
🫧🐠
✨🫧✨🫧✨🫧✨🫧✨🫧✨🫧✨🫧✨🫧✨
🫧 Bedtime is 11:30pm sharp. Can't have a tired little boy in the morning.
🫧Bath time / shower time before bed
🫧 Pacis are to be slept with, unless the teet has something tasty on the inside
🫧 Three little baby meals in a day, including snacks
🫧 No scary movies ( not that he likes them anyways )
🫧 Snackies are for before 8pm, will stretch to 9 on a movie night
🫧 Stuffies must be put away tidy if not having them slept on bed with you ( put them in a stuffie hammock that I will eventually buy for my baby )
🫧 You get tucked in and read a story every night.
🫧 Morning shower to get you all set for the day
🫧 All colouring equipment must be kept in little box for end of the day, pick colouring back up when its the next day if you dont finish before bedtime
🫧 No paci in the shower / bath, dont want to get it wet

"Using a baby pacifier will mess up your teeth!”
Hey cuties! A common misconception I see often is that using a baby pacifier will change the alignment of your teeth. I’d like to address this, and reassurance any little ones who can’t get adult pacifiers that baby pacifiers won’t hurt you.
Using a baby pacifier will not damage anything in your mouth. Baby pacifiers are only unsafe for actual toddlers to use- and that’s likely where this confusion started. Toddlers mouths are still developing. As they grow, their mouths grow around whatever is in it. If a toddler uses a pacifier, the alignment of their teeth doesn’t develop normally. But as a teen/adult, your mouth is already done developing, so you’re good to go!
If it were true that using a baby pacifier messes up your teeth alignment, you wouldn’t be able to suck on anything! This includes lolipops, hard candy, sippy cups, or your thumb. To physically move your teeth would take a long time, require a lot of pressure, and it wouldn’t feel very good!
So, to any little ones worried about using pacifiers, rest easy. Just take it out when your mouth starts to get sore. The bigger the pacifier nipple, the longer you can use it. For this reason, I recommend adult pacifiers, because you can use them for a lot longer than a baby one. A 0-3 month paci will start to hurt after about 20 minutes, so I would recommend avoiding those. An 18+ month pacifier is your best bet, if you can’t get your hands on an adult one.

Are adult pacis from ABDL/BDSM stores/boutique and normal baby pacis from convenient stores the same?
Nope, There are several differences when it comes to baby and adult pacis.
You can get baby pacis practically anywhere and I tend to get mine from the dollar store. You can get adult pacis on sites like Amazon, Etsy or even just looking up shops on here. I got mine from LFB on Amazon since they have three packs. You do have to be aware that some of these shops cater more to NSFW users so if you need a paci shop exclusively for SFW age regression make sure you look up those tags (If anyone has any suggestions please leave them below)
The baby ones are smaller so they don't fill your mouth in the same way an adult paci does. I would highly suggest saving up for an adult one since they feel better and can be used properly without feeling weird after a while like baby pacis do. I've seen a lot of people say baby pacis hurt your teeth or aren't as easy to suck on since they aren't really made for an adult mouth. Adult pacis are easier to decorate if you wanted to do that. Most of the baby ones I have are Disney themed and I'm sure you can find ones in practically any design (cartoon, movie, etc) but again getting an adult paci means you can have it customized to include your favorite thing but also have things like charms, your name, etc. Adult pacis are sized to fit better so it looks more realistic.

My favorite stuffie is really dirty an gettin stinky how do I give him a baf wifout hurting him?
Oh dear you seem to be in a bit of a pickle huh? Well I have some tips and tricks that you can use for him so he will not get hurt by his bath.
-Spot cleaning: spot cleaning is good because you can scrub at your stuffy without having to put him in the wash. Get a nice spray bottle and then mix a color-safe, multipurpose, oxygen-based stain remover with warm water and spritz at any spots on your stuffie. Be sure to not let the solution dry on him, blot the rest of the solution away after ten minutes then repeat if needed.
- Professional cleaners: If you take your stuffie to a stuffed animal hospital if your state has one they can help repair, fill, and clean your stuffie for you. You can also see if your local dry cleaners can help, but be sure to ask what they use to clean as some solutions can hurt your stuffie.
-surface cleaning: make a solution of washing detergent and water [warm or hot is best] and dip a brush in the mixture, put it on your stuffie and start scrubbing away. This won’t get him 100% clean but he will be a bit cleaner and be sure to get a clean damp towel after and remove any detergent residue. [Also give him a nice brushing with a plastic brush if he has fluffy hair]
-Changing his stuffing: this one is a bit not so happy, your stuffie may have a clean outside but can still smell funky on the inside if his stuffing is old. I heard that Build a Bear will take your stuffie and restuff them for you, and im sure they wont hurt him at all.
-And last but not least if all else fails you may have to place him into the dreaded washing machine, but~ there’s a solution for that: Pillow cases. Get a nice or old Pillow case and put your stuffie in there. Tie it up and now he has a barrier to protect him so the machine can’t hurt him ^^ you can also put maybe two to three stuffies in the case at a time so he can have friends too.
[Quick tip, after washing you should use a tiny vacuum to take out any invisible dirt particles off your friend so he doesnt get as dirt so quickly. ]
I hope that this has helped you and your stuffie friend on ways of getting clean without hurting him. ^^

A Small Reminder for Age Regressors ♡
♡ It’s okay if you don’t know what age you regress to
♡ It’s okay if you regress to multiple ages or a range of ages
♡ It’s okay if you don’t always act completely like the age you regress to
♡ It’s okay if you regress to an older or younger age than most
♡ It’s okay if you don’t have a specific age you regress to at all or your regression is a mix of various child-like qualities
Age regression isn’t an exact science. You don’t need to be able to perfectly define your regression or force yourself into a certain box. As long as you are happy, safe, and comfortable, that’s all that matters! ♡

When You’re Feeling Stressed:
Try:
Naming silly colors and Disney princess dress colors, etc, things you like: red firetruck, pink piggy, etc
Count backwards or count how many tiles, or things you see
List off different items that are a certain color in the room like: the green leaves in a tree picture, the green chair, the green plant, etc
Put on a pair of big headphones and just sit with them on. It helps muffle a bit of sound but also doesn’t make it extremely quiet
If you want sound try putting on a guided meditation maybe. I enjoy doing the Breathing Exercise guided meditation on the Inner Hour app. It helps me a lot.
Listen to something very upbeat like say… The Puppy Dog pals theme song or the theme to the beginning of Onegai My Melody maybe.
Sing as many songs from different Disney movies or different shows you love. It helps. The sillier the better. Make it fun
Be silly with your stuffie. Spin them, throw them, dance with them, boop their nose, etc.
Jump in place until you can’t jump anymore
Dance like you’ve never danced before, act like a ballerina, leap around the room, slide along the floors in your socks and pretend you’re at the ball Cinderella attended
Play with make up.
Try different hairstyles and see if there’s one you really like or just a silly one
Go splash in puddles outside after it’s rained
Take a bubble bath and stay for awhile, maybe put on some relaxing music in the background or bring your favorite bath toys.
Take a bubble bath and act like a fishy while spitting out water
Make some bubble mix and go outside with a tennis racket or something that you can blow through to make tons of bubbles. Bubbles are fun!!!
Pop pop pop bubbles or maybe get some flavored bubbles and try to catch them.
Go outside, close your eyes and listen to all the sounds around you like birds chirping, the wind, maybe a car passing or your dog barking, etc
Keep this going. Help other littles who are stressed. I hope some of these help you feel better! Have a wonderful night!
