Gonna put a ramble about Bandit Wraith under the read more

Despite being a bandit she’s actually somewhat helpful. Her schemes target Zoraxis more often than the not and there’s even rumors of her dropping off people lost in the desert at the nearest town. She’ll chase off other bandits and sometimes even give tips to the deputies.

I think her disappearing for an extended period of time is usually a cause for worry because it means she’s either planning something. Or Zoraxis has cracked down on nuisances and she’s hiding till it blows over.

Depending on when this takes place purple dye might be rare and expensive. So Wraith only has purple clothes because she stole them. That’s also why the jacket is a bit big on her.

Speaking of stealing things, Ronald’s previous owner will tell you she stole his mule. That is a lie. Ronald ran away and kidnapped Wraith after she gave him a knife. He’s somehow an even bigger menace than her.

Hi. Sorry to bother you. Just would like to ask about an interaction in the Wild West AU, if that's ok.

Since my Phoenix, Damien, is a vigilante, and Phina is a deputy, does she try to stop him? Or let him be?

I think it’s dependent on a few factors, namely was she sent out to catch Damien in specific, has he hurt or killed innocents, is he attached to Zor/Zoraxis in any way, and, to put it bluntly, did Damien Personally Piss Her Off? If it’s yes to any/all of those, she’d probably square up and try to get him behind bars.

She’s got some skeletons in her closet and damn near died looking for footing on her own, so she doesn’t exactly blame those who have turned to stealing and looting to survive. But, she has a job to do and people to protect, so push comes to shove, you will be dealt with.

Wooo Deputy Phina!

I wanted her scars to be a bit rougher looking/covered, and it was mentioned how ponchos were historically white washed by cowboy media, so I opted to just get rid of it to be safe.

Also there were certain spoilers in the original ref that I want to keep a bit more under wraps, so hush anyone who saw the original design ;)

Anywho, I hope this design's better, I plan on making a few outfit variants anyhow, so there will be more of Miss Phina in the future!

Does Phina in the cowboy au like cats?

Oh yeah! I think Phina likes cats in general regardless the AU, but with the cowboy au I imagine she spoils barn kitties with attention and scraps to the point she’s been scolded for making them lazy and cries when they die on the job (depressingly common in my experience).

She just relates a lot to cats, they’re clever little magnets for trouble that also only like touch conditionally, but you better not reject their affection when it’s offered or they will take it Very Personally! That’s basically Phina in a nutshell-

I wanna do a full character ref eventually of Seraphina as a second deputy, but I thought it’d be fun to establish some crossover origin things!

I think Seraphina moved out West with nothing but the clothes on her back after her father, a wealthy oil tycoon in the east, tried to marry her off as part of a business deal. She hopped on a train, spent a few years wandering around, and eventually settled out west in the hopes of finding some sort of life.

Unfortunately, being a young woman without a dollar to her name, as well as no name to speak of without getting sent home, there weren’t many options beyond saloon work. She got lucky enough to be put to work behind the bar rather than elsewhere in the saloon, but the work was degrading regardless.

As such, I could see Phoenix, after seeing Phina working for a few years in their town and looking more miserable by the day, wanting to find a way to help. This urge is only tripled when she pistol-whipped a bandit that Phoenix was giving chase to when they tried to snatch her purse, but this was the moment that Phoenix actually discussed a plan with Phina to get her out of the bar and onto the field. After all, with Zoraxis causing problems, Reginald needs all the help he can get!

Phoenix: *sat at desk doing paperwork*

Handler: *on the line but not saying much*

Phoenix: *GASP* OWOWOOWOW- *gASP* AaAuGh-

Handler: ?!

Phoenix: GaH- *heavy breathing* oOoOww- aAhAH-

Handler: Agent?! Are you alright?! Are you being attacked?!

Phoenix: F-FffFiNE- I'm- aaAAAA- I'm FiNE

Handler: Are you sure???

Phoenix: *heavy breathing* ......yes. It passed, I'm good.

Handler: Are you sure?

Phoenix: yeah, my entire side just spasmed and sent pain shooting under my ribs and into my hip socket. But it's stopped... Mostly-

Handler: *general distress*

Ollie wasn’t as strong as he’d been before he got starved and then went straight to another desk job, and he struggled just pulling Phoenix into the control room.

He was lucky that the ceiling had only partially collapsed, and only in the main area outside of the control room. The chunks of loose earth littering the scorched floor were easy to navigate around, but the stairs would be another story.

It would be fine, though. Phoenix just had to wake up enough to give him the slightest bit of help, and he could do it.

But then… that voice.

He knew that voice.

Handler: ...I'm sorry- what?

Phoenix: Yeah, if I just sorta leverage my arm-

Phoenix: *shows Reginald their shoulder joint popping out of place and snapping back a few times*

Phoenix: I can pop my shoulder. But normally it feels good, it hurt this time.

Handler: ...and you do this on purpose?

Phoenix: *shrugs*
