“Sweets…” You can hear the hesitance in Ethan’s voice without even seeing him. “I… I really don’t know about this one.”

You’ve seen Ethan take on agents. You’ve seen him infiltrate secure buildings and pick complex locks without breaking a sweat.

Hell, you’ve even seen him casually flirt with targets and civilians alike.

Somehow, though, it does not surprise you that you’ve barely managed to convince Ethan of this. You’d gotten him drunk, and then you’d dared him. Two things you hadn’t thought would work.

And then, just this morning, you’d reconvinced him all over again. And sworn to do it too.

“You… liked it…?” You’re nervous. He’s never reacted this strongly to something like this. And you really don’t want to do it again if he’s just trying to make you feel alright.

But he nods. Vigorously. Blinking away tears as he does. “I wanna try it again…”

It takes a moment, and then your eyes widen. Oh. Oh. Oh, you kinda feel like an asshole, but holy shit.

But you firmly bite down on the desire to talk about it right now. Instead, you nod. “Alright. We’ll do it again then.”

He exhales and his whole body goes limp. “Okay.” He sounds exhausted. “Okay.”

His eyes close. You don’t get off him until you’re sure he’s sleeping. Then, you slide off him and tuck yourself into his side.

You’ll talk about it in the morning. If he denies it then, you’ll drop it and never bring it up again.

But god, do you kinda want him to talk about it. It’s been years since you had your last girlfriend. And, well, you certainly wouldn’t mind having one again.
