final Evaluation
Throughout this course what went well for me was analysing my work and finding artists for inspiration also i enjoyed learning about this side of photography and how it opens up an entire new road for photography as a whole. specifically i did enjoy working with people i would not choose to work with because i was able to practice being a leader to random people it helped build up my confidence. furthermore i was very interested seeing how different artists manipulated time based media to fit their narrative and the many creative imagery that they created.
I think i could improve and develop my ideas and work ethic. Throughout the course i experienced an artist block, my ideas lacked that quality that makes it my own i was copying ideas and letting other peoples work influence my ideas so much so i would think i was being original but really i was copying other peoples ideas. Also i have noticed that i was struggling with photoshop a lot and i was forgetting a lot of different processes, this means that i should be experimenting way more than i am and i should be working harder than i was.
After the first lesson of this subject was immediately drawn in by stop motion videos i found the effects of the video profoundly interesting and i could not wait to learn how to make one. Although i did not have a very clear vision of what i intended to achieve i had a general idea of what i want to do i knew i wanted to work with stop motion.
My experimentation was very helpful as it allowed me to explore different ideas and techniques this broadened my skill range. I did find that i liked creating gifs because although stop motions is where i had my heart set i did find that the process was extremely tedious and difficult creative a smooth stop motion is harder than i originally thought so gifs seemed like a very easy and quick shortcut to create a somewhat similar outcome.
during this assignment i learned that in order to be able to lead a team to reach an outcome you have to confident yet sensitive and being able to listen is the key because together you are able to create something more unique than u would all by yourself. furthermore i also i learned how to listen to my teacher and other people people when they point out my flaws and not to get angry or feel belittled .
For my final outcome i wanted to portray an idea that technology cant ever truly die all it needs is a bit of electricity. technology nowadays is like the equivalent of air it is everywhere and it seems that people now rely on it to live life whether its driving your cars to auto pilot taking you across continents and thats just our activities not our social lives that is whole other world. I used my phone and the charger and made it seem as though the phone was commanding the charger to prevent it from dying just like how we rely on the phone the phone relies on electricity which we create in turn its all linked. i think my narrative was successfully portrayed, the title tells the viewer what is happening and the video is interesting to watch, i think i was successful in the my delivery of narrative.
i think i would really like to develop my progress with stop motion as i enjoy them so much and i really like creating different things and creating a narrative.

Marie Francesca Cinema graphs
Marie Francesca’s cinema graphs are very alluring. Her cinema graphs bring out the emotions of the viewer very profoundly when u see her images they are make you feel something when u notice the motion it intensifies the effect and the narrative of the image. In one image the she has taken an image of a women in the woods looking out into a field in the winter whilst a bird flies past. A sense of loneliness is apparent in the image this is because she is standing in the image alone in the winter symbolising the feeling of loneliness as ice cold.

Rachel Ryle - halloween videos
I chose this stop motion because i think it is very humorous and artistic. the narrative of this video is halloween she is wish everyone a happy halloween and to have a good time. i think what makes this video effective is that it uses puns and popular song lyrics to make the video appealing to the her target audience this also makes the video more original another key element of her videos which he tries to regularly incorporate would be the effect of take something of on the page using her hand i think this skill is what makes her videos so appealing to watch.

Time based media
Time based media are videos, film, slides, audio e.c.t they use time as the main element and unfold their narrative over time. Time based media is a different from contemporary forms of art the main difference would that time based media uses time to unfold a narrative compared to a regular photograph where the whole narrative is showed instantly.
There are a lot of different artists that use time based media in there work for example a very famous version of stop motion would be our very own childhood movies such as wallace and gromit and chicken run created by the famous stop motion photographer nick park. he too stop motion photography and made an entire movie with it. Stop motion photography is a sequence of still images created to look like a video these videos typically require around 150 images to create a 20 second stop motion video.
Cinema graphs are another example of time based media these are images that have a specific section of the image in motion to portray a distinctive narrative. Marie Edwards is a cinematographer she captures a variety of beautiful images that she. likes she is always very specific with the motion in her image most of her images have a very old fee; she does not really take very “modern” approach to her cinema graphs most of her images have a dark atmosphere to them.

Rachel Ryle Analysis
Rachel Ryle is a stop motion photographer and blogger. On her Instagram page she regularly posts videos one of my favorites posts is her one stopmoton dedicated to the new Disney film called Kubo. This stop motion video consists of her drawing a picture of the main character, shows her coloring him then having a “tug of war” with the drawing fighting over the pencil she colored him in with, the drawing wins, then turns the pencil into an musical instrument, then the drawing is playing it and conjuring loads of origami cranes, they are moving around the page . in this post she would have to had redrawn the character a lot of times with very slight differences most likely she would have photocopied parts of the character in order to keep the character exactly the same. she also would have have had to get a lot of origami paper and make a lot of origami cranes. This video is a very fun thing to watch she creates an anime like theme which appeals to large audience primarily consisting of children and young teens although not exclusivley

Gif evaluation
For this task we were asked to create a gif. A gif is a sequence of images played on a loop they usually tell a short story and only usually last a few seconds to portray its narrative. for my gif i decided to try re-create the “bottle flip challenge” it is a popular trend that teenagers try to do.
in order to create to create a good gif i had to find a place where the lighting would stay the same this is important for the succession of the gif because if the lighting is different it will be quite obvious and the gif wont look as smooth so once i found a good spot i had to make sure the only thing that would move would be my arm and the bottle once it was set i was ready to start the production process.
to create a gif you need to take picture that have very subtle differences this is because when the images are put in a sequence they flow . this task proved rather tricky because i had to actually land the bottle flip which i was a bit on the tedious side but i eventually landed the bottle flip and was able to capture the necessary images to create a fluid sequence.
Once the production was complete came post production, which was the editing process. i quickly realised that there was no natural loop created in the production so i had reversed the bottle flip in order to make the bottle look like it was flying back into my had.
In this process i had used a tripod and to keep the camera still in order to create a successful gif. i also used the as bottle half full with water as the main subject of the bottle flip.
In this project i think the most successful thing that i carried out was the editing process coming up with the idea of the bottle flipping back into my hand is what i am most proud of in this project although i think there is a lot of thing that could be improved such as the motion of the bottle i could’ve taken more images for the flow to be more successful also another factor would be keeping absolutely still when i was flipping the bottle although this was quite difficult. although i would as a whole this task was a success.
