I'm over the moon (ha!) with how this turned out now that it's dry. Made with oil-based paint markers, koh-I-Noor trans-mix ink, FW pearlescent ink and lots of layers of acrylic fixative to float it all in.

I had a horrifying thought. You know when you find a random speck of glitter somewhere, and the only reason you even saw it was because the light hit it JUST right? That's been hiding there for who knows how long. Where'd it come from? What does it want? How long has it been there WATCHING you? Unmoving. Unblinking. Just what are your intentions making yourself known, little speck of sparkle?

I've been watching a cushion-less couch thaw out from a snowbank in the alley for the last 4 months. NOT ONLY has this couch announced the true beginning of spring with its re-emergence from the ice, but it also came to impart some wisdom on the peoples of Uptown.
