Starmyu episode 6 reaction

First of all

OMG OOTORI AHHHHHHHHH I MISS HIM SO MUCH!!!

AND FINALLY, FINALLY SHIKI SHOWS HIMSELF.

Even though I knew it was gonna be like that but it left me speechless. I can't wait for next week! And the performance was amazing!!! Finally we have all 14 of them on stage together

Now we're gonna finally see ootori again. And a throwback to Shiki's past which has always made me so curious and wondering why Shiki is so mysterious in the first place.

But I just realized that we haven't had any stories on Fuyusawa's past though 🤔 I think it's gonna be after Shiki's

Starmyu reviews

I know I promised to write the reviews and trust me, I am writing but I have been busy lately so the reviews will come in late. But I am always watching the new episodes every week and wrote down notes so yes, there will be reviews. For now, episode 6 is out!!! Let me watch it and give you a rough draft of my reaction. Ahhh I am so excited for this episode

I will always be thankful for his voice as Akaashi, one of my favourite anime characters. And I always, always love the passion he has towards Sawamura and the Daiya no Ace franchise. Ohsaka Ryouta really puts his all in every character he does

So true on the 3 months thing! It didn’t even affect me when I read the manga but the anime made me so emotional. The music and the editing is just perfect!

And hello, another starmyu fan and daiya no ace fan here. I also write about starmyu too!

Daiya no Ace act II Thoughts

I've been writing about Starmyu mostly, but the other anime I'm currently watching is also Daiya no Ace act 2. I cannot count how many times I reread act 2. I can however say that I've waited 16 weeks for them to animate one of the scenes I liked out of the whole manga thus far. But, the point of this post is I wanted to let out how sad episode 17 turned out.

This episdoe marked Sawamura's growth and break from being dependent of Miyuki to being more independent. I wished Terajima narrated what Sawamura was thinking while watching Inashiro vs. Teito, but at least we'll know it has to do with pitch calling.

Episode 17's closing was done prefectly. The manga didn't really affected me as much, but when they animated it, my gosh, I got tears. 3 months guys. 😭 Each memory scene while Miyuki was thinking to himself, showed that Miyuki is pretty caring even though he seems like he doesn't much. Sawamura and Furuya has come so far as pitchers. Every team member has come far. This episode also marked a start to a change in each player from Seido. Sawamura really did wake everyone up.

Currently the manga is at a point where it is a revival game against Ichidai and Yakushi. I don't really care for it, because I just want to watch Seido's next game because of Sawamura. I really cannot wait for what will come next for us reviewers.

Review: Starmyu Season 3 Episode 1

I haven’t thought about doing this until I have watched the 3rd episode and I have so many unanswered questions so here’s a review of each episode. This will be like my journey in understanding what the heck is going on in this 3rd Season so if you’re interested, come along with me!

I will divide the review into parts: overall thoughts and arising questions + song from episode. These parts may increase as the time goes by but I will try to stick to only three parts to avoid it being too long.

Anyway, because it contains spoilers, the review starts after the cut! If you also have things you want to talk about this episode, you’re welcomed to comment!

OVERALL THOUGHTS

It started with Hoshitani walking when it suddenly went into a song. This is truly random and unexpected because I don’t think there has been an episode that started with a song just a few minutes or even seconds into the episode. Nonetheless, the song is good and what made me excited is that everyone’s there! Team Ootori, Team Hiragi, Ageha, Hachiya, Nanjo and Kitahara are there and personally, it was exciting. It does feel like it has been a long time since we saw them. Anyway, the song then ended with the signature pose that we all know and at the same place. But then, Hoshitani met some weird guy (I legit got so excited when I heard NamiD’s voice). But as a Starmyu fan, I already knew that the guy (who was not named at first) is gonna be very important so moving on.

When Hoshitani met the other second years, I just can’t help but smile at Ageha’s reaction everytime he sees Hoshitani. Some might find it silly on how obsessed Ageha is with Hoshitani but I understand him a bit. Hoshitani is like his idol now, Hoshitani inspires him so he really adores Hoshitani. Now going back to the topic, we meet 2 of the Kao Kai, Kasugano and Chiaki. I didn’t really have any opinions on them until the time Kasugano started saying some random fortune telling stuff. It was strange really. So we were also indirectly introduced to Fuyusawa, somehow, I am getting bad vibes from him though. But anyway, fast forward to when they were cleaning, I am curious what is the relationship between Nanjo, Chiaki and Fuyusawa to the point that they call Nanjo, “Ko-chan”. My guess is that they are childhood friends.

Anyway, I won’t go scene by scene but will focus on certain parts that caught my attention. first is during the Kao Kai’s meeting. Their interactions are really very different to the Kao Kai before which makes me think that this Kao Kai New Generation are members from different teams and not just one team like Hiiragi and the others. But I can’t really guess which one is from the same team yet. In fact, I cannot yet remember their names when I watched the 1st episode.

As I’ve said before, Fuyusawa seems bad to me. I think it’s because of how he is talking (props to Saito Soma for that) but it’s like he is up to no good. Anyway, we were introduced to the head of Kao Kai New Gen named Shiki which is the same one Hoshitani met. And then came the song and I seriously love it! Despite having the same lyrics and dance, the song is different which is a blessing really. I wouldn’t say it is better than the other previous versions but it has its own charms. 

Now when Hoshitani saw the card, I started thinking, is this season gonna be related to fortune telling until the end? Will there be different cards for every episode? I am not sure about it but as a side note, I will include the card for each episode and test my guess.

When I first watched this episode, I honestly didn’t understand where the story is going but after watching it a few times, I can see that the New Gen is probably trying to spread their influence and to show how good the new Kao Kai is by using Team Hiiragi who is also the Star of Stars especially only having them perform with the New Gen production and not take part in any of the class production. This is really cruel to me because we were shown of how excited everyone was to work together and to have them all ripped from under their feet... How saddening.

This Kao Kai New Gen certainly has a ton of secrets they are hiding. And I just find it strange on how adamant they are to change Ayanagi. But I wanna know how they are planning to make a change in Ayanagi so we gotta wait then.

ARISING QUESTIONS

1. Why is Shiki, despite being the Head of Kao Kai, not as active as the others? 2. How will the miracle Hoshitani change things this season? 3. Is Team Hiiragi going to be the next Kao Kai? 4. What’s the relationship between Nanjo and the Kao Kai? 5. How will the second years try to make sure they can perform with Team Hiiragi? 6. Will every episode relate to fortune telling cards? 7. Is the Kao Kai New Gen from different teams? 8. What is the Kao Kai planning to do? What are they trying to prove? What are they planning to change? 9. Will we be meeting the first years under this Kao Kai?
