I do not feel like making art at the moment. Thank you to everyone who liked, rebloged and followed this page. A whole lot of love for you beautiful people out there.
Until we meet again!

Animals of Wisdom
These are animals with their infinite wisdom, passing on the knowledge of eons onto us humans, so that we may strive to be a better version of ourselves and can create a world where we all live in harmony 🤍
Fineliner on paper.

I've a habit of jotting down quotes and excerpts when I find any that's interesting. Combing them with my sketches to play around with the idea of having animals as the wise narrators. It's fun 😅
The quote is borrowed from an article by the author Aigerim Alpysbekova MPH. Attached here is the link to the complete article.

Few more caricature sketches and portraits made for the music documentary Standing By. This was my first ever gig as a freelance illustrator (feels like a lifetime ago 😌) and it was quite an experience to be part of something like this. Though this marked a major milestone in my life, it didn't come without hardships and self doubt. I had felt like a fish out of water during then, completely overwhelmed. And if not for some friends I'd found amidst all the chaos, I'd have been completely lost 🥴
Only the last two artworks got made it to the final cut. The first three are of The Beatles during their visit to India and the second last is of a radio host for BBC World Service aired in the 1950s and the last portrait is of a musician named George Banks.
You can watch the full documentary here:

A decade ago I was fortunate enough to collaborate as an illustrator for a music documentary called Standing By for one of their episodes - Indian Independence and Jazz. Standing By was an attempt to uncover and document the history of independent music in India.
Below are some of the portrait sketches I'd done of the bands - Jethrotull, Pink Floyd, Traffic, The Who, Deep Purple, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
For those interested, the full documentary can be watched here on YT : https://youtu.be/iNLgZeEFxVQ?si=k0krx6Zq_mjMo746

Col. Bernhard woke up with a start. He tried to look around frantically but his vision was blurry. The ground felt damp and sticky, and now that his senses slowly returned, the stench of the place became unbearable. Something moved on his left and the Colonel turned to see a gruesome creature staring at him. The vile thing, full of malicious intent, appeared to be siphoning off the power of a crystal that had become tainted beyond comprehension by the monstrous atrocities of its user...
••••
Col. Bernhard is a fictional character from my world building.
He has been missing for some time now. While it's usual for the colonel to go off on his own sometimes the one thing he always kept close to his person was his trusted journal. So when his team found the journal left behind on the colonel's desk, they immediately organised a search party.
For a while, we follow the various hurdles the rescue team has to overcome but when the focus turns back to Col. Bernhard, the above illustration comes into play.
This was done as part of #inktober 2021 | Prompt: Crystal.

Winged Maiden and the Bloodsucker Dragon
An OC along with a creature design done a few of years ago.
The being with the horns is a winged maiden from the mountains of Gul-hukt. They are known to be fierce warriors and revered by the folks living in the valley as the maidens safeguard them from outside threats.
At the bottom is a close-up of a Bloodsucker Dragon that seems to have latched itself on to a reptile. They are mostly seen in wetlands and freshwater lagoons, feeding off on the blood of the reptilian habitants. The claws on its wings helps to latch onto the skin of their host. They can move easily underwater just as easily on land and in the air. Like the common leeches from our world, they introduce anaesthetic while sucking blood.

Here's another page from an older sketchbook. The fae Tatiana is an OC from my world building. And the little fella at the bottom is what's known as a Butterfly Dragon.

Sketchbook page
I wanted to share how my sketchbook pages actually look like. It's mostly a mix of different themes coupled with jotting down my thoughts and studies along with a little bit of scrapbooking. One of the primary reasons was so that I only needed to carry one notebook with me and whenever the mood strikes I could just start sketching. And also it sort of gives me the feeling of flipping through a textbook or a magazine. It also helps keep the pages filled rather than leaving a lot of white space 🙂

Do you do like commission sketches? I was just wondering? 👀
Hello ☺ Thank you for taking interest in my art! Yes, I'd be very happy to do commission sketches but I shall be opening up the slots only in the first week of February. I'm still recovering from having fallen ill 😫
Feel free to DM me for further queries if any please. 🙂 Thank you!

Haven't had the energy to sketch anything lately, so here's an older work from 2021. The original is the one done in blue with a ballpoint pen and the other is an edit to satisfy my curiosity as to how it would have looked in bnw 😁. Texturing it had taken a lot of effort and time than I generally have patience for. I must say I'm kinda proud of this one! 🙂

Wynn Duffy (Justified)
Wynn Duffy is another character I absolutely enjoyed watching every single time he was on screen. It's amazing how a show can give us so many interesting characters which I believe is a combined effort of good writing and great performances. Wynn Duffy is like a cat that always lands on its feet. Jere Burns did a fantastic job portraying the character.
Done with ink on paper • Portrait based on character from the tv show Justified.

Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Art Mullen (Justified)
I had a couple more portraits done after watching the neo-Western show Justified. Sometimes even more than the protagonist themselves I take liking to some supporting characters (mind you, I don't ever take interest in any actor's personal lives or their opinions. It's the characters they portray that I find interesting)
Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Art Mullen is one heck of a boss for the Lexington office. I loved the portrayal of Art Mullen. One could say he was a badass on his own. Mullen is the kind of guy his fellow officers can count on any day to have their back even at the risk of putting his own job at risk. He is like the father figure who is always there for his kids no matter how much they mess up. He is a well written character and his friendship with Raylan is part of what makes the show so good.

Boyd Crowder (Justified)
Boyd Crowder played by an incredibly talented Walton Goggins! I feel Boyd Crowder is one of the best antagonist created. More than being termed as a villain, I think he is to be called an adversary to Raylan Givens' character. Boyd is smart, calculating and ruthless and yet one may find rooting for him at certain points throughout. Maybe it's because he stumbles, make mistakes and learns from them just like a protagonist might.
The dynamics between Boyd and Raylan is something that never loses its luster and every single time they were on-screen together, exchanging quipping remarks and bullets, it was fantastic! Even though they were on the opposite sides of the law, they were friends at core.
"We dug coal together"
