Field Trip | 2018

When we say field-trip, we often think about long bus rides to hidden camps in the forests or zoos and farms, but this time, the city is where we spent the whole day. It was a rest day for some because it was a holiday, so you can say that everyone was still sleeping in when i was preparing to go to school. It was fun and exciting because i was able to create new experiences that id never thought id experience and also i have gained more memories with my friends. 

Our first itinerary was in Art in Island. Based from the name itself the place was full of 3D painting and art, and you could see there the effort and the time sacrificed just to finish the place. At first I thought it was made by Filipinos, but i was wrong, the place was found by a Korean man named Yun Jeon Kyung, with his 15 Korean artists. Hands down to those people for sacrificing their time and sharing their talents to us. 

Next is lunch break, everyone had their lunch in Trinoma Mall while waiting for our next itinerary except for me, Diether, Gatuz, and Bon. We had packed lunch so while we are on our way to Trinoma, we already ate our food. So while everyone was eating, the 4 of us stayed in Timezone and played the whole lunch time. I've been there before but being with those guys in Timezone was a new memory for me. 

 After the lunch time was over, we went to ABSCBN Interactive, in this place you'll get to experience what it's like to be an artist for a day. they had a PBB house wherein you have to do the challenge you were asked to do in a span of 8 minutes, too bad my friends and I didn't make it. There was also a director’s room where you'll get to direct the noontime show, Showtime. There was also an Action Academy, where people will train like an action star. Starlab, where you'll really get to experience how to act, sing, be interviewed like the artists here in the Philippines. There were also other attractions like The Voice, Minute to Win It, VR game, and the La Luna Sangre theater. It was fun but we didn't get to experience everything due to lack of time. 

 After the ABSCBN, we were supposed to go to the new National Museum, but too bad it was already closed when we got there. So the final itinerary is the Snow White Ballet in CCP, it was a formal event so we had to change from our P.E uniform to our Type A uniform, hassle right? But at least we looked presentable. They were so good, that even without them talking you would actually follow the story. Actually this was the thing that i never thought I’d experience, and luckily I have now. I was so hooked, I wanted to watch more. i told my buddy, that if only i had the money and time I would watch shows like this every month. No kidding. 

To be honest, the field trip only moved me a little unlike my buddy, which is Maie. Maie became emotional but I understood because she was suffering from her art block for a couple of years now and she needs to get inspiration. i think because of this trip, she gained her art back. oh i wish she did. It may be a normal trip to some but for some people like Maie, it was everything. 

Lastly, being with these girls has been the best highlight during the trip. If it weren't for them, my fieldtrip experience wouldn't be the same.
