Calling it a “canon” or a “source” invalidates literally everything you said.
EDIT: I feel like there is just this huge notion that having a past life that has been written into a now a consumable form of media here on this present Earth is not as real as having a past life that is from this present Earth. I have dealt with both and it is no different. They’re not any less real than each other. It’s asinine and arrogant to me that people use language for sake of ease and convenience on the basis that it isn’t true to who they are because they are worried they will be laughed at. And I have. Literally tons of people over the course of my life have pointed fingers and insulted me for simply existing as I am. But every single one of those people was online. I have told many people in my in-person interactions and relationships about this, and not one of them called me crazy. Not one of them laughed at me. Not one of them said that’s impossible. They were interested and intrigued. They were accepting and curious. The online fictionkin community is, quite frankly, an echo chamber of misguided bullies
obviously the fictionkin community is going to be fiction-centric. it's in the name, it's where we discovered our kintypes! but i feel like it dictates the way we, as in those of us who experience spiritual fictoypes, discuss ourselves so that we are constantly comparing the real lives we lived (or are currently living! #parallellives) to a piece of fiction that reflects or helped us remember who we are one way or another, but is still just a story written for entertainment. it's tiring to parade around "look at me i'm from homestuck" and it makes me feel like i'm just trying to get some fandom points. especially having to clarify "oh i'm canon divergent." i feel like it doesn't actually center our lived experiences, our feelings, but rather just communicates who we are in a way that feels more easily digestible to everyone else but just reduces us to something 2d. doesn't mean never bring up what made you remember, what fictional story is actually your nonfictional past/present, of course i bring that stuff up & it helps me find others who are like me easier! does anybody else ever feel this way? or do you think i'm thinking about it the wrong way?
[this is a discussion post, leave your thoughts! i'm genuinely curious as to what people think. i'm not trying to hurt anyone by this :)]
#How are you guys not getting this?#Are you just so absorbed in your own chronically online reality that you cannot hear what you’re saying??????#You just said you’re aware you’re not fictional#So what is the truth??#‘Canon’ implies fiction#‘Source’ is derived from ‘media source’ which implies fiction

Man, there are like, no communities for people from TES. There used to be so many. Now I feel like a fool because I refused to let myself get involved in them due to denial, and now none are around anymore. :(

Instruments I can play:
Guitar
Violin
Cello
Bass guitar
Ukulele
Kalimba
Drums
Cornet
Ocarina
Man, that’s more than I thought? I didn’t realize the list was so big
I need more though……….
I need to start playing violin again. And I really want to start playing the bagpipes. I might learn accordion, too, I really like how they sound. What can I say, I’m a bard at heart. I love to entertain, I love to play music, I love to sing… I should learn piano, too, I’ve always wanted to. I just never really had the access.

I have also always been intrigued by khajiiti culture as well. The influence of Masser and Secunda on biology at birth is so astounding to me, too.
Breton culture is so interesting to me. I’ve never met a breton before so it’d be really cool to talk to one and discuss our cultural differences and similarities.
