Dean wasn’t sure what woke him up (hell he didn’t even remember falling asleep)—if it was the thrashing next to him or if it was the sound of his name, but he found himself slowly pushing himself up, the pain in his stomach aching as he turned towards the man in the bed with him.
“Alec,” he whispered, not daring to touch him–he knew what it was like when people tried to wake him up from nightmares. “Come on, Alec wake up—damn it.”
He caved and shook the guys shoulder. “Come on Alec.”
The shaking made the pain dissipate, but the adrenaline and fear stayed with him as his eyes opened in the darkness. Acting on pure instinct, Alec jacknifed up, rolled to his side, grabbed Dean’s wrists and rolled on top of him, pinning him.
He was breathing hard, staring down on his would be assaulter, when he realized where he was and this was no enemy. “Dean?” he asked, blinking. “Dean,” he repeated, his gut wrenching at the thought he might have hurt the man he’d just rescued.

“I would have but you never gave me any number to contact you.” Max told him, rolling her eyes for a moment and knowing that she was right. Hopefully that wouldn’t start an argument since the last thing she needed was some pointless fight to break out right now.
Hearing his comment, Max smiled a bit and laughed lightly. “Well, you’re going to put that to the test tonight. No, you don’t make me nervous and I feel comfortable around you.”
He shot her a look of disbelief. Like she couldn’t have told him before they’d parted after the strangest interview he’d ever had. But now wasn’t the time to argue. They were on a mission, and she was kind of offering an olive branch.
“Fine. For future reference, I’ll give it to you now.” As he rattled the number off, he knew she’d remember it. He started walking with her again. “I brought my bike, but I’m guessing you made alternate arrangements?”

This is sort of horribly overdue, and since it’s pretty damn close to another milestone I decided not to do promos or icons for now, but something different that I also don’t have to spend postage on.
Due to the overwhelming number of drafts Sam currently has (and the fact that I’m the slowest slow turtle ever to walk the planet) his threads are still closed; meaning new ones from new partners are NOT ACCEPTED. That still doesn’t stop y’all from asking to plot though, so I’m developing a work-around in the form of a giveaway.
Mun has alot of muses. Less than I’ve had before, and I’ve held steady for a couple of months now, but still. Alot. A few of you might know most of them, but you don’t know all of them. I’m everywhere.
I feel kind of bad about cutting threads off for the forseeable future on Sam so I’m opening the bids on threads for some select muses. Don’t worry, they’re all in the SPN fandom. If we have a successful thread on another muse and you still want to thread with this muse…well, you’ll have been considered a partner and only old partners can have new threads on Sam right now. (What can I say I’m human, I can make exceptions if I want.)
Then again, you may LOVE the muse you won enough that this Sam pales in comparison. ;)
I N F O:
→ You must be following me.
→ You must be a RP blog. No exceptions.
→ You may reblog or like as many times as you want, but you only get ONE admission that counts in the final tally. (However you can reblog on multiple accounts and hedge the system. I won’t tell)
→ By entering the giveaway you agree not to divulge the url of my muse to anyone else without my permission. It’s rude, bro.
→ Under the cut will be the 12 AU thread options available. The muse will not be named, but they are all in SPN verse and are either a Dean muse, Sam muse, Cas muse or my OC muse.
→ First prize winner gets first pick, second prize winner gets to choose second, and so on. The AU chosen will be struck out of the options for the next to decide.
→ There will be eight winners.
→ OCs and Crossover muses are welcome to enter.
→ These AUs can be tweaked depending on how your muse wants to play in the verse. They are not set in concrete.
→ Please DO NOT take these AUs and use them for yourself. They are original AU ideas taken from the backstory of my characters.
→ Giveaway runs until August 28th

Seeing his reaction, Max couldn’t help but grin a bit more as she closed the door behind her and glanced back at Alec. He could have dressed a bit nicer but she figured that he wouldn’t have too much trouble trying to get into the building.
“If I’m doing undercover work, I tend to dress up to fit into the setting better.” She told him, walking away from Alec and started to make her way down the hall before turning back to look at him. “Am I making you nervous?” She asked, smirking a bit more and waited for him to catch up.
“Yeah, well, if you’d clued me in on where we were going, I’d be more appropriately dressed,” he groused, following her down the hall. When she turned, he quickly dragged his eyes up, like he hadn’t been watching her swaying ass.
“Course not. I’m a professional,” he said, lengthening his strides to come up alongside her. “Why? Do I make you nervous?” he asked, getting into her personal space.

Dean rolled his eyes as he hit the bed, suppressing the groan that tried to slip through as his twin walked away. He looked at the glass and then back at Alec, there was no way he was taking those. The first thing someone you shouldn’t trust does is ask you to trust them. Yeah, Alec got him out of there but why? And where the hell had he gone. Hell no, Dean didn’t trust him.
He tensed under the touch and his brow furrowed before he reach under the pillow to feel the weight of the gun and let his eyes close.
“Paranoid AND stubborn. It figures,” Alec muttered. He vowed not to fall into a deep sleep. Dean might not trust him, but Alec had no reason to trust Dean either.
Despite his best intentions, Alec not only dropped into deep sleep, but was trapped in a nightmare of dreams. The red laser pierced his eyes, seeing everything, draining him, killing him a little at a time. The monotone voice demanded he complete his mission, kill the girl. Aim, breathe, fire. Aim, breathe, fire.
“No.. no, can’t...” he turned his head from side to side, trying to get away rom the pain. “Stop... no stop... Max, Max, Logan, Fuck... Dean!”

Max was just about to open up the door before rolling her eyes at his comment. She wasn’t surprised that he would make that comment but he didn’t need to bring up the watch again. Ignoring it for a moment, Max carefully adjusted the dress and slowly opened up the door.
“Took you long enough.” Max joked, smirking a bit more and waited for Alec to respond.
He was wearing a black turtle neck and jeans, perfect for sneaking around in the dark. He’d thought she’d be similarly dressed, but instead, she was sporting a knock out red dress that showed her long legs off.
His mouth went dry. Not something he was used to.
He cleared his throat. “All this for me, Max? You know you could wear a tee shirt and sweats, and I’d still be into you.” He tried to play it off, not show how she affected him. He didn’t like wearing his heart on his sleeve or showing his true feelings. That wasn’t smart.

“What the fuck!” Dean demanded as the kid lifted him up. He was in no physical condition to fight but he was still pissed off. “Put me down!” he demanded. “The couch is more than fine. I’ve been in worse situations.”
He glared back at him and wet his lips. “If you think moving me back there is gonna make me sleep then you are in for a big surprise.”
“Bla bla bla.” Grimacing, Alec got Dean to the bedroom. He almost dropped him down on the bed. He would have, if the guy’s injuries weren’t so bad.
With one hand, he pulled the covers down. Then he gently lowered Dean onto the bed. Standing next to him, he pulled the covers over him. Then he headed back to the living room.
When he returned, he had Dean’s meds and a glass of water, which he set down on the night stand. He gave Dean a look, but didn’t ask him again to take it.
“Between this,” he said, shoving the gun he’d give Dean under Dean’s pillow, “and me, here, I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about. Nothing’s gonna get to you, okay?” He shut the lights, then stripped down to his shorts.
Muttering under his breath about high maintenance hunters, he got in on the other side of the bed and scooted quite close. “You trusted me to get you out of there, now trust me to keep you save. Let go, and go to sleep,” he said. Maybe he didn’t have a great bedside manner, but he at least put an arm over Dean so the man could feel his presence.

A couple hours later, Alec was at her door, leaning against the door frame and lazily knocking with his knuckles. “C’mon Maxie, you know you don’t have to get all done up for me. You’ve already got my heart. At least according this watch,” he said, chuckling when a neighbor walked by looking pissed off because he wasn’t keeping it down.

“Alright. Whatever you want.” The hell with that, thought Alec as he moved to the couch, grabbed Dean and easily lifted him up. “Squirm or fight, and I’m putting you over my shoulder,” he threatened. “You need to get better and sitting here, trying to keep yourself awake, isn’t going to get you there. You don’t think I plan to play nursemaid forever, do you?”
He started to walk, his gaze locking with the hunter’s. “You know I’m right.”

It took a moment for Dean’s eyes to focus and to remember what happened but soon he found himself pulling his hand out from under the pillow and his head nodding. “No,” he said softly. “Didn’t—” He figured he didn’t have to explain to Alec why he hadn’t taken the medication.
“I don’t want’em,” he said as he pushed himself up from the couch to a sitting position with a wince. “Don’t need’em.”
The thought of Alec killing him had crossed his mind more than once, but it wasn’t really Alec he was worried about. What if they found him and he was asleep from the medication–he couldn’t afford that. “I’ll be fine out here.”
