It Ain’t Me, Babe-

Dear Charles,
I’ve been thinking a lot lately, and I feel like I need to write these words to you, even though they’re not easy to say.
You’re always so kind and loving. You’re surrounded by warmth wherever you go, and you take such good care of everyone around you. You eat well, you take your exercise routine seriously, and you seem to draw people in with your light. They gather around you, as if looking for a little piece of that good energy you carry.
And looking at all of that, I realize that maybe I’m not the one you want.
I’m not as affectionate as you are. Sometimes I’m harsh with people without meaning to be. I don’t really know how to be kind, and I don’t have many people around me. I don’t care about what I eat, I hate exercising, and most of the time, people drift away from me.
I don’t think I’m the one you need.
You deserve someone better. Someone who picks flowers for you on an ordinary day. Someone who is never weak, but always strong enough to protect you. Someone who isn’t lost or confused inside.
I’m not that person. And I’m sorry for that.
With love,
MV

I wrote this based on the song “It Ain’t Me, Babe” by Thimothée Chalamet and Monica Barbaro that I saw on Tiktok, hope you like it :)🌷

Hey guys, I was thinking about the Harry Potter houses and the question came to me, which houses do you think the pilots in the current grid are from? So, I decided to ask chatgpt because I never watch HP so I don't have the authority to give my opinion (but I know the story a little so it's not completely unknown)
This was the answer that chatgpt gave me:
🦁 Gryffindor
Traits: brave, daring, competitive, bold
Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) – A fearless racer and activist; emotionally driven and courageous.
Pierre Gasly (Alpine) – Resilient, bold, and intense—he thrives on emotion and comebacks.
Carlos Sainz (Williams) – Gutsy under pressure and not afraid to fight for every inch.
Jack Doohan (Alpine) – Known for taking bold moves in junior categories; confident and gutsy.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) – Very early to judge fully, but his confidence and rapid rise suggest a brave and bold Gryffindor core.
🐍 Slytherin
Traits: ambitious, cunning, strategic, driven
Max Verstappen (Red Bull) – Ruthless, ambitious, and laser-focused on domination. Textbook Slytherin.
Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) – Master of mind games and long-term strategy; cunning and proud.
Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) – Maintains his spot through persistence and savvy behind the scenes.
Isack Hadjar (RB) – Confident, calculated, and rising quickly; likely to fit the Slytherin archetype.
Esteban Ocon (Haas) – Tactical racer, doesn’t shy away from rivalry; plays the long game.
🦅 Ravenclaw
Traits: intelligent, analytical, innovative, curious
Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) – Thoughtful, precise, and often philosophical in his interviews and approach.
Oscar Piastri (McLaren) – Calm, analytical, and intelligent beyond his years.
Alexander Albon (Williams) – Very sharp, articulate, and insightful both on and off the track.
Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber) – A student of the sport, thoughtful and composed in his rise.
Oliver Bearman (Haas) – Intelligent and mature for his age; approaches racing with clarity and poise.
🦡 Hufflepuff
Traits: hardworking, loyal, humble, kind
George Russell (Mercedes) – Loyal to his team, professional, and hardworking with strong ethics.
Lando Norris (McLaren) – Down-to-earth, loyal to McLaren, and consistently puts in the work.
Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull) – Emotionally honest, hardworking, and full of team spirit.
Nico Hülkenberg (Sauber) – Long-serving, reliable, and respected; a quiet stalwart of the grid.
Liam Lawson (RB) – Resilient, patient, and team-oriented—waited for his opportunity with grace.
I know I don't know much but this surprised me a little, I wouldn't imagine George in Hufflepuff and Gabriel in Ravenclaw, Esteban is so Hufflepuff to me and about Charles… I'm in doubt now…
Do you agree with this? I want to know your opinion!!!

max's advice to kimi from may last year.
“When you are talented - and you can see that with Kimi he's very talented - I don't think he should be too worried, you have to make mistakes. Ideally you like to make those mistakes when you’re not fighting for a championship or whatever, so I also got lucky with that, starting at Toro Rosso at the time.
Not many people are looking at you, so you can make some silly mistakes here and there.
But it’s important to make them because even though you tell yourself all the time 'I cannot do this, I cannot do that' - you will only adapt really if you make them and then move forward.
I mean growing up as a person as well, I guess, even outside the car, knowing what you want in your private life. Then it's just understanding the set-up of a racing car more and more over time.
Cars evolve but when you are with one particular team, at one point you know more or less what works or not. Being with the same kind of race engineers and people around you, you know, that fine-tune the car for you, all these kinds of things. The more you spend time with them, the more it comes to you.
But again, don't try to think about it too much, just let it happen. When you're that young, just focus on trying to go as fast as you can, make your mistakes, have good race results and just try not to think about it too much.
Now, you can explain all of this, but at the time, you don't know that, right? So it's, like- just ease into it. And then you have good people around you normally in the team that will coach you around this.
You’re such a rookie that so many things that you still have to learn,
For me personally, the biggest one was actually doing a full race distance. In F3 at the time, we had 35-minute races, so there’s a lot more involved. Looking after your tyres is a big part of it, these tyres are so particular and sensitive compared to some other categories.
Of course, In F2 and F3 you're running on Pirellis already but for me at the time that wasn't the case.
But just going through the good moments, the bad moments, how you come out of these things, difficult weekends where it's just not working for you or whatever, there is so much to learn - but on the other hand also don't try to think about it too much, just let it go."

You know what? It would be really cool if there was an F1 fic based on the movie “Stand By Me”

I always think it's odd whenever someone says they think Max will become one of the greatest of all times. He already is.
He has four championships which in itself is impressive but that doesn't tell anywhere near the whole story. When you look at the records he holds you see just how impressive he is. It's these records that show how insanely talented he is.
Most race wins in a season. Most consecutive wins. Most consecutive pole positions (jointly held record). Youngest race winner. Most consecutive days leading a championship. That is some crazy consistency.
And there are plenty more records.
Look at his win percentage, look at the last time he finished outside the points, look at the fact that as soon as he had a car capable of winning a championship he did so.
Yes he had the fastest car in 2023 but other drivers have also had dominant cars. Look at what he did. He destroyed everyone. That is what it looks like when you drag the absolute maximum out of an already great car. It's insane. He was almost too good that year because it made people write it off as 'just the car' when it wasn't. Yes if you give a great driver a great car then can win a championship but can they do it quite like Max did in 2023!
And then he somehow managed to be even more impressive in 2024!
