ALF - Squad Headcanons

Chapter 2.2: Families

The ALF - Family Squad, back at it again with some nice(?) Headcanons about the Family of the infamous Jay Kingston! (Seriously though, nice may not be the best word to describe what you’re about to read. We always talk about loving Angst, so know we’ll unleash it. Enjoy - or maybe don’t).

(A quick Disclaimer: In our Headcanons Jay’s autistic (He has Aspergers). We aren’t, so all of our knowledge is from the internet or stuff we may have heard about the topic. Please, correct us if anything is wrong or some of Jay’s characteristics are not fitting for someone with Autism, so we can change it and learn some interesting things along the way)

To be honest, we don’t have much on Jay’s Family

His Parents died when he was still a little kid (about 9 years old)

It was a car accident

Jay was sitting in the back of the car when they crashed

Their names were Josephine and Christopher

Jay has some memories of them, but overall it’s very blurry

Who he remembers tho, is his Brother

Adam

He talks a lot about him, actually

Adam, who raised him after their parents died

Adam, who was still a teenager when he lost his Parents, leaving him to take care of his autistic little brother

Adam, who still tried so hard

Adam, who after realizing how the meat industry treats most animals, immediately joined their local ALF Group and before that, already went on rescue missions to free animals from Torture and Mass Production

(They took care of the animals together after that, getting them back on their feet, err....paws)

Adam, who teached him about the importance of ALF’s belief

Adam, who always called him ‘Jay’ when he was younger instead of his real name because little Jay’s favourite Animals were Bluejays

Adam, who died when Jay was about 16

Ironically, it was in a car accident too

Unironically, it was Jay’s fault

Basically, Adam was on a mission for the ALF, when Jay was on the brink of a meltdown and called him

 Adam was distracted by Jay freaking out over the phone and managed to hit a tree in the worst possible way

Jay heard how Adam died, because the line didn’t die during the car crash

He screamed Adam’s name, clutching the phone in his hand, but didn’t get an answer, only pained moans

Later on Jay blamed himself for not having called an ambulance, or the police, or anyone really, just because he couldn’t bring himself to hang up

He was unable to move, paralyzed by what was happening

Instead, he listened to his brother taking in his last, shuddering breath, before leaving him alone in this world

Because of him and his stupid ticks and his worries about nothing

He tries to surpress his symptoms after that, because he doesn’t wanna be a burden

But his issues (especially after Adam’s death) are material for another post

What’s for sure tho, is that Jay didn’t go to Adam’s funeral because he felt so guilty. Which leads to a lot of pent-up anger and guilt, because he didn’t get to say goodbye, see Adam one last time

And he can’t stand his real name anymore, because he rather be called Jay and think back to days where his brother ruffled his hair or carried him around on his shoulders, then Adam’s voice coming through the phone, screaming his real name in surprise and pain and anger (at least in Jay’s ears)

And later in a whisper, voice broken and seemingly far away, begging for Jay to do something, anything

But he didn’t

There was a time where Jay had a family

Then he only had a brother

Now, he has no one

ALF - Squad Headcanons

Chapter 2.1: Families

Let’s continue with the Family of our beloved K, shall we?

K is really secretive about them he’s pretty secretive about his personal life in general

Reeeaaally secretive

“K, tell me about your family.” - “I.....have one.”

He doesn’t answer any questions about them

The Gang jokes that he murdered them or something and K just stares wordlessly at them

They are frightened

Tbh, at first no one really buys it except Silver 

He starts behaving weird around K because “HE COULD BE A MURDERER”

“Ollie stop, what could K possibly have done.” - “Tell me one personal fact you know about him.” - “Oh my god.”

They start an operation to find out what happened to K’s family

They subtly start asking questions about them more like Silver screaming “Where did you hide the bodies?!” over Dinner

At that point, K has probably had enough and introduces them

Surprise, surprise, he actually has a functional Family

His Parents dote on him

They’re really sweet but also embarassing

“Oh, is this the cute animal rights group you’re always telling us about?” - “Mom”

They immediately pull out the baby pictures

He’s all rebellious and shit and they’re just like: “You do you Sweetie!”

“I’m going to destroy corporate evil today.” - “Good for you honey, bring a sweater.”

His Parents are called Seong (the Dad) and Dae (the Mum) But feel free to correct us if anything’s wrong with those names, because we don’t know shit about Korean names or Korea in general 

And they love gardening

They start giving Silver giant baskets of Vegetables to bring home with him whenever they visit

(Then they give Blond another Basket in case Silver runs out)

K’s Family is huge btw

And for some reason they are always at his Parent’s house

He has lots of Baby Cousins and the second the Gang arrives, they make him play games

He’s surprisingly good with kids (at least with his cousins because they love him for some reason) cue to Jay drooling in the background

They’re like: “Let’s play ALF! I’ll be a puppy!” and K is totally embarassed

They immediately love the ALF Gang

They love Jay because he’s so sweet and he immediately starts playing with the children

And Blond charms everyone’s parents instantly

They actually think that Red is K’s Girlfriend for a sec which leads to Red declaring that she’s “very much gay, no thank you”

His whole Family is just really open and friendly in general and he’s the awkward one

Except his cousin Jaime

She’s the edgy, emo, Tumblr-Girl Cousin who’s always on her phone

She’s the other odd one out in the Family so K loves her, but she’s weirded out by him

But of course she’s as loved by the Family as K is, so they’re encouraging of her too

She just doesn’t appreciate it as much

Jaime: *coming into the room wearing all black with red hair and some fake piercings* “You look good today, Sweetie!” - “....I hate this fucking Family.”

She likes swearing in general

Her actual name is Lauren but she prefers to be called Jaime because Lauren is too old-fashioned for her taste

“Prefers” - If you call her Lauren and you’re not one of the adults in the Family, you have a death wish

Upon meeting the Gang (more precisely Jay) the first time, the first thing that comes out of her mouth is: “You look like the fucking Onceler.”

 But she says it in Korean, so Jay looks at K expectingly and K has to make up something

“......she says nice to meet you.”

She’s shittalking the Gang in Korean the whole time they’re there tbh

They sometimes hear their names and Red and Platinum totally know what’s up but Jay just thinks she’s saying nice things

She’s mostly just asking when JK will finally bang while smiling politely at Jay (who’s happy that K’s very polite, little cousin likes him)

Jaime nicknames Jay as Onceler btw

Once Jay finds out what Jaime has been actually saying, he’s mad at K for not telling him the truth while K is having War Flashbacks to all the times she told the two of them to “Fuck already” in Korean

And that one time Jaime got Jay a shirt that said “How bad am I” in Korean but told him that it meant: “’Animals are our Equals’ :)))))))”

He regrets nothing

But even tho the ALF knows now that K’s Family is not dead, there are still so many layers of mystery to them

It’s hard to make out how everyone is actually related (even K isn’t sure sometimes)

For example, there’s this one guy they all call Uncle but no one really knows how exactly he belongs to the Family

He’s just there

That’s about it! Those are our thoughts on K’s Family! (I’m actually lying, there’s more - there’s always more - but adding those things too would make this post way too long, so it’ll have to wait until they get a post of their own.

ALF - Squad Headcanons

Chapter Two: Families

Aaaand we’re back at it again with some Headcanons about the ALF! This time: Their Families. Do they have Family? How many siblings do they have? Do they love their Parents? Questions upon Questions and we’re gonna answer them!

If you’re suprised by the sudden middle names, don’t worry, we were too. But they just had to get out.

We’ll start with the least angsty Family (’cause we sure love our Angst).

1. The Dawsons

The Dawsons consist of David and Susan Dawson, and their kids Nathaniel Benjamin and Holly Elizabeth Dawson

They live in Australia (except Blond ofc)

Papa Dawson basically has a tough as hell exterior but is a teddy bear on the inside

He’s just not that open emotionally

But he’s a super chill Dad and very supportive

He rarely gets angry, only when somebody gets hurt and even then he’s mostly worried

He and Susan both love Silver to bits

Little Holly on the other hand doesn’t like him at first

She’s wary of Silver because Blond’s former Boyfriend was a Douchebag and she’s afraid Silver will take Blond away from her

But that changed pretty soon (she still tried to fight Silver tho)

She’s about 12 when Platinum happens, which means she’s 15 atm

She was a late arrival, Blond was already 12 when Susan got pregnant again

The ALF are like older Siblings to her (not that Blond’s not an awesome big Brother already)

Jay and Red are her favourites

Jay is ‘Uncle Jay’ (Kids tend to like him in general, but he doesn’t know why) Red says it’s because he’s a kid when he’s not in business mode

At one point Holly tried to convince Red to dye her hair so it’s fun like hers but Susan and David are against it

So Jay gets her a blue wig, she nearly always wears

And Red manages to ‘dye’ her hair with hair chalk so it can be washed out again

Whenever the Dawson’s visit Red takes Holly to go find clothes to rock out in

She also buys her an insane amount of hair accessories

(The ALF is shook because she’s so good with kids but she just jokes that she has to deal with Actual-Child Silver 24/7)

Susan Dawson is the ultimate Mum and an actual Angel

As a kid, she was the kind of person who would surprise newly moved in people with home made cake

As an adult, she moved onto being on the welcoming committe (even though people joke that she is the welcoming committe)

And somehow, she knows the birthday of everyone in town and never fails to visit without a small gift or their favourite food

She is a Blessing

The worst thing that ever happened to Blond is a broken leg because Mama Dawson protecc

And she also attac if needed (but then you should be scared for your life)

Blond broke his leg because he fell out of a tree but as soon as Susan saw him crying she was like: “WHO DO I HAVE TO KILL”

Not only does she accept Blond for being queer, no one actually dares to give him shit for it because Mama Dawson’s wrath is scary

Susan is also loved by all the kids in Blond’s school

She’s known as Mum

Because she cares for everyone, especially the kids

She always gives them rides and they know that if they ever have a problem, they can always crash at the Dawson’s place

One kid jokes about the fact that he doesn’t have a mother anymore and Susan looks them dead in the eyes and offers to always be available if they ever need a mother

One time, Blond comes home from after school and there’s just a bunch of his classmates hanging out with Susan because the Dawson’s home is like a safe haven for them, where they can escape their problems for a bit while Susan bakes them cookies

Which is one of the many reasons why everyone in town loves the Dawson’s

When Hollie was born, her baby shower was huge

In fact, it’s the biggest baby shower the town has ever seen and all stores with kid products offer Susan discounts

And tbh, Susan is such a goddess, it’s understandable

ALF - Squad Headcanons

Chapter One: Basic Information

Here are some ALF-Headcanons from the ALF-Family Squad. Since there are so many, I’m just going to post some basic Info first so y’all know what we all talking ‘bout.

Silver and Red are Twins

Silver’s Name is Oliver Duskin but he prefers to be called Ollie

His middle name is Reginald. No one knows tho, except Red who threatens to expose him on a daily basis.

“Watch it or I’m gonna use your middle name!” - “Nooo.”

They totally have this love-hate sibling relationship going on between them

They’re also Russian

Red’s name is Natasha but her last name is Belinsky instead of Duskin because she kept their Father’s name, while Silver took their Mother’s last name (there are more HC’s about the Duskin/Belinsky Family, but they got a chapter for themselves, otherwise it would be way too much)

Silver and Blond are in a loving and respectful relationship what else is new

Meanwhile K is a pinning mess and Jay is oblivious af

Red’s just happily living the lesbian lifestyle

Obviously none of them are straight

Red’s also done with those idiots on a daily basis

It’s like, her constant mood

Jay may appear to be their Leader but in Reality it’s just Red

Blond’s real name is Nathaniel (Nate) Dawson, which leads to a lot of Dusk/Dawn Parallels

Blond calls Silver his Sun, while Silver calls Blond his Moon (because they’re cute af)

And yes, Silver refers to Nat/Nate as n^2 or the double N Duo

Red immediately tells him to stop

She also hates it that Blond’s name is Nate

She wanted to fight him to see whose the better Nat(e)

Blond’s just like: “We both know you could kick my ass in ten different way, we don’t need to fight.”

From then on Blond is only referred to as Blond or Blondie

Silver calls him Nate when they’re alone tho

Jay’s Name is just Jay ‘cause he’s boring like that

Jay Kingston

K was the last to join their little group to help with the Tech-stuff (Jay’s terrible with Technology, he’s like a very clueless Grandpa trapped inside a young man’s body)

he stayed because of Jay his love for Jay Animals (and beause he can’t stand the thought of Jay setting another Computer on Fire ‘cause he tried to google something)

K’s name is Jonathan Kim

They all live together in one house because they’re GayLF (Gay Liberation Family)

Jay pitched in more money than the others ‘cause he’s the rich kid of the group

The others don’t want him to do it but he thinks they deserve nice things

They also have a group chat called ‘Animal Liberation Front’ that Silver constantly changes to ‘Gay Liberation Front’

Jay always changes it back ‘cause he wants them to stay “professional” they aren’t lol

That was also back in the days when Jay still thought he was straight. That  changed later on tho (much to K’s Delight)

That was about it! Gonna update with more specific Headcanons soon (’cause we have a lot and it’s only been three days since we started all this, so there’s way more to come).
