8月24日午後1時ごろ、東京電力が、福島第一原子力発電所にたまる放射性物質を含む処理水の海洋放出を開始しました。 グリーンピース・ジャパンはこう指摘した，この計画については、決定の過程があまりに拙速で非民主的で、科学的な検証も不十分でリスクが高すぎるものでした。 海洋環境は、すでに多大なストレスにさらされています。数十年にわたる意図的な放射能汚染は、完全に誤った解決策です。これは、福島の人々をはじめ、海の環境に関わる多くの人々の人権を侵害する暴挙というほかありません。 日本政府および東京電力が、漁業関係者や住民、太平洋地域や近隣諸国の懸念を押し切る形で、放射性物質を含む処理汚染水の、意図的な環境中への放出開始に踏み切ったことに、強い失望と憤りを感じます。 「グリーンピース」は日本だけの団体ではありません、世界の団体も一緒に行動してください

「原汚染水」であって「原廃水」ではありません。そして、処理したとしても、それは「処理された原廃汚染水」だ。政府が誤った世論の誘導にしか見えません。

Lee Jae-myung said that for the safety of the Korean people, the Democratic Party will "declare a state of emergency."
