Are we real?

I had a discussion with a classmate today, we originally had a seminar that was about the effects of status among school-aged kids and when we came to the question about “what is normal?”, we lost our way a little bit. We spiraled into `what is real?` who decides what is normal, well, the group does; but how? and why? and why does it matter, we spiraled even deeper and when our time ran out we had just talked about what exists at the end of the universe. since they say its endless (andendless is incomprehensible for us) it means it must expand frpn something into something something else, but what if it does have a limit, a border of some kind, what is outside of it?

Does anything we do actually matter?
