Here we go... *achem*
Bojack Horseman has always meant more to me than a simple viewing pleasure.
If you knew me, you would know that I am the type of person who seeks connection through media be it television, film, music, etc.. It is easy for me to latch onto the emotion of fictional characters because I can easily picture myself in somebody else's shoes. In a way, this helps me to cope, learn and experience differing perspectives and situations than my own. And although I often attach myself to fictional personas, it is /very/ seldom I find something so truly relatable as this. Down to the core of my being, warts and all, this horse and all of the characters surrounding him, understood me.
Bojack Horseman is not a funny comedy. Despite having comedic moments, this is a show about being human; about self-destruction, depression, addiction, loss, toxicity and growth. And as a person who has experienced all of the above, I found myself relating more to this animated drama than I have any other piece of media.
This show's strength lies in its ability to connect with the demons we all face. The selfish decisions, the desire for quick fixes, the self hatred and the darkness that surrounds us when we feel trapped by ourselves.
Life is short. Life is truly a bitch. Life can be cruel and sad. It takes and it gives. But, we are given one chance in these, specific shells, to do the best we can through it all.
Thank you, to the creators of this show. Thank you for giving me this connection. Thank you for letting me feel like my own troubles are heard and noticed.
Bojack has impacted me for the better. I'm sad that it has concluded, but it did so with such grace, that I feel at peace. I couldn't possibly ask for anything more.
This show will always be a treasure and a personal favorite. It has been a wild ride.
And if you haven't seen this masterpiece, I would truly consider doing yourself a strong favor.

So, I sided with Seiros so that I can complete the story, but I have to say that I REALLY despise betraying Edelgard. Truly losing my shit over here.

every fantasy needs that dysfunctional family, preferably with at least one parent missing and at least one child who goes insane
