what she means: The Big O was such a good blend of the post-apocalyptic sci fi, noir, and mecha genres with engaging characters with great animation. Yet I still can't get over the fact it ended before the third season got a chance to explain things. Who is Roger Smith? Is he just an ex-cop? Is he actually a mass-produced robot pilot that steers the Megadeus? Did he orchestrate the event that wiped everyone's memories in Paradigm city? Furthermore is Angel a pilot like Roger or is she actually the AI of Big Venus? Did she wipe everyone's memories 40 years ago? What became of the old Paradigm City? And what about Dorthy? How was she able to guide the Black Megadeus to Roger? What will happen now that her memories are gone? Are there actual memories? Do the denizens of Paradigm City get mindwiped every forty years in order to forget the genetic "tomato experiments"? Or is everyone actually a robot like Roger's informant suggested? Was there an actual war where Megadeuses ran rampant and caused the event 40 years ago? What part does the Union play in this? What's with the giant monsters from season one are they actually AI? Who put Paradigm City under a giant dome? We'll never know the answers because Adult Swim felt it was more important to produce TIM AND ERIC than to give us a season or even just a damn OVA. DON'T YOU "WE HAVE COME TO TERMS" TO ME, IT'S BEEN ALMOST TEN YEARS I STILL HAVEN'T COME TO TERMS

a little confidence goes a long way

I quite often get comments on my fanfic that say “I don’t want to quote your whole fic back at you” but you know that? Please do! Because when you quote the parts that you like and add your own comments - whether that’s an in-depth analysis or a series of emojis - just for a second I get the experience of seeing my own writing through someone else’s eyes. I get the tiniest vicarious moment of being the reader rather than the writer. And I love it.

am i the only one who goes feral for collab relationship-centric fic where one person writes one pov and the other person writes the opposite character pov 

like i know if you have talent you should be able to write distinct povs just as one person, through language, but, BUT, i think even the most skilled writer–there’s just something DIFFERENT about the fact that the other pov is written by a WHOLE OTHER PERSON

My initial reaction is to baulk the idea that Nishida came up with the idea for Majima Everywhere, but then I think about how he probably only mentioned something in passing -

"Wow boss, it's a shame you two couldn't run into each other more. You'd have a natural chance to get close and get Kiryu-san to notice you. But I mean you'd have to be everywhere to do that. Ah well. "

- And then put his entire fist in his mouth when he saw Majima's eye flash like a firework and knew he was about to blow that little comment wildly out of proportion.

I’m using caps so you know this is a Serious Question: does Nishida have a canonical tattoo design? He’s got to have something! Is it mentioned in RGGO? I need to know!!!
