Finally Together • RAMKING

After me & Ram confessed to each other , we hung out more often (pfff everyday actually) and waited for each other after classes to have lunch together.

And you all are probably wondering...is he finally talking to me now? My answer to that is , yes. The closer we became , the more Ram opened up to me.

It took him so long to talk to me. You all probably think that I'm such a patient person. I mean , I am patient. But in all honesty, I was lowkey dying inside everytime Ram wouldn't say anything to me. Times he would say anything to me , it will be a few short words and that's it. But now , that's changed and I am very happy to be with Ram. He helped me get over my fear of dogs. Never knew how sweet my cool boy can be to me.

"King! You never have lunch with us anymore" I felt Boss tugging on my arm and I gently push him back towards Mek.

"I see you guys all the time though" I said.

It was true , I do see them everyday. We literally have the same classes.

"Are you seeing someone or what?"

Boss , you are so dumb.

"Is it that guy with that tattooed arm? I didn't think he goes here too"

Mek you are just as dumb.

I squeeze his hand "Ram, nothing happened. They didn't do anything to make me angry. They were just trying to guess who I always hangout during lunch"

"Y-Yeah!" I can see Boss trying to smile at my boyfriend who hasn't changed his facial expression.

"Ram~" I pouted. He looked down at me and sigh. I smiled in relief and got up from the table "I'm going to his house to help him study. See you guys tomorrow" I fold my hands together and bowed slightly to say bye to my friends.

"See you tomorrow. And Ram...treat him nicely" Bohn said in a serious tone.

"You take your own advice with Duen" And me and Ram left him at that.

Depression

Warning: this is a rant, so if you have plenty of time to read today, I appreciate it. If not, please still read it.

I just recently watched Joker with a full stomach and probably two cups of cold brew to get me prepped. It’s not like you have to be physically prepared, but mentally. Yes, mentally. And boy, it was a heavy and dark one. So please, if you think about watching this film and you’re going through something or are sensitive in some cases, please re-consider. Your mental wellness is more important than anything so save yourself when you can. I’m serious.

Shoutout to Ward theaters for that comfy seating tho. I was slightly struggling.

I wanted to throw away my cents on this just because. I know for a fact that my thoughts are gonna go all over the place with this. Yeah, I’m random. I’m usually more of an audio/visual person and I prefer to have my art and pictures speak for itself. I never keep a personal journal and I love being spontaneous most of the time. And, I admit that I’m never a good writer so bare with me. 

Let me start by saying that mental illness is something that is serious and is not to be ignored. It can be you or anybody. We don’t know. With the hustle and bustle we normally face nowadays, it’s hard to deal and tolerate with people, whether they’re your family, friends or just strangers to you. Despite all the laughter and smiles we hear and see from ourselves, it still doesn’t take away the fact that we are all sad and depressed too. We are all human beings and we all feel. Let’s not forget that.

Depression is not just only seen in people having suicidal thoughts, taking pills, having anxiety, or are just plain crazy. Loss of appetite, eating more than what you’re supposed to, being isolated or not talking to anyone are just some examples that can trigger it. It’s crazy because a lot of us are being quiet about these things and it’s scary as shit. Once it starts developing, it will just break a person’s mind and heart in a snap and it’s never going to be normal again unless they seek help immediately. It’s like volcano waiting to erupt itself. You’ll never see it coming.

Come to think of it, our country’s been dealing with crimes and mass shootings from all over the place because of people who are deranged. They all needed help. If only we were more loud and open to one another, these events wouldn’t occur. 

Sigh.

The movie really taught me something: to listen and not just hear. Be aware of your surroundings and other people. If someone speaks up about something sensitive or private, LISTEN. Even if you’re not on his/her shoes or you’re not feeling it. Be at your kindest. Give advice if you could or simply offer constructive criticisms. Ask them if they’re okay. It helps. Even if they break down, open up to you or not, at least you showed them you care. Always be careful and mindful with our words. We don’t know what we all go through and basic steps like these can save a person mentally, emotionally and even physically and spiritually in the end. The world is cruel and wicked. It’s a sad reality we all have to face every day. 

I mean, let’s be honest. Therapies are expensive as heck. Only rich depressed people can afford all that counseling and in the end they would still do the unpredictable. Drugs are not the answer people, believe me. Don’t do it.

Self care is also necessary. You have friends? Text them. Go out with them, grab yourselves a cup of coffee or dessert and talk about anything under the sun. Open up if you have to, or just think of something you can laugh about for as long as you want. Go to the beach and unwind… heck, travel if you have to! Everyone deserves to be mentally healthy and no one is to be ever stopped from doing it.

We all need to be better and do better. Check on your friends. Seek help if you must.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: REUNITED PART 2 (FANFIC)

"WOAHH!" The crowd cheered at the miniatures karaoke performance.

Sacagawea closes her eyes & began to sing.

The president jumps onto his horse along & shouted "Can I have everyone's attention before we go back to our places? Thank you! I would like to thank our previous night guard, most of all, our dearest friend Larry Daley & his son Nick Daley for visiting us after seven years! We are all happy to see you two again , really!"

"I am also happy to see all of you again. I'm glad we had this kind of night toget–" Larry started coughing but just for a couple of seconds before finishing "Y-Yeah , I'm happy to be here tonight with all of you!"

Nick found it strange how his Dad has been feeling about his health. He notices that he's been coughing & had chest pain earlier. If it seems to get out of hand , Nick will have to confront his Dad to see a doctor. Right now, his Dad is just saying I'm fine & won't admit he's not feeling well.

Everyone was getting to their places before sunrise. Teddy kisses Sacagawea before she heads back to her display.

Before Jedediah can go to his display , he felt a hand grab his shoulder. "Hey Jedediah?" It was Octavius.

"Hey , What is it?" Jedediah asked.

"You okay?"

"O-Of course! Why wouldn't I be?" Jed smiles nervously.

"Y-You seem to be very...I don't know...jealous? When me & Lance are together" Octavius frowned.

Ohhh , right....

"I'm not jealous" The cowboy denies. It was a lie though , Jededaiah was jealous but doesn't want to admit it.

"Oh okay then. I'll see you later tonight" Octavius & Jedediah chest bump each other before leaving to their displays.

"Hey Larry?" Ankmenrah came up to him.

"Oh , hey Ank , need anything before you go?" Larry asked.

"I just wanted to say how it was a delight to see you again. I'm glad you came to see us tonight. One of the best nights we've ever had in so long" Ank smiled.

"I'm glad I came too. Me & Nick were very busy & we didn't have any free time as much. But it's good to see you Ank. How are things going back in London?" Larry had to ask.

"Wonderful!" Ankmenrah said cheerfully.

"That's good to hear. Alright , I'll see ya" Larry patted Ank on the shoulders before walking to Teddy.

"Tonight has been wonderful , Lawrence. Glad you could be here with us" Teddy & his horse makes his way to their spot.

Larry started feeling light-headed & grabs onto the president's saddle.

"Oh dear , are you okay my son?" Teddy asked worriedly.

"Y-Yeah, I'm okay & uh...I'm glad I came" Larry formed a smile.

"Great! Well, Lawrence, sunrise is here , welcome back!" Teddy smiles as he pulls out his sword as the sun had set.

"Thanks Ted" Larry smiles.

"Hey Dad? Ready?" Nick asked.

"Yeah , lets go home" Larry & his son walks towards the main entrance by Tilly.

"See you again tonight Mr. Daley?" Tilly asked.

"Yes! I'll come again!" Larry said before he and Nick walks out the museum & down the steps.

"Hey Dad?" Nick started.

"Yes?" Larry looks at his son.

"Are you okay? You seem to be sick. Is there anything I can do for you?"

"I'm fine Nicky. Don't worry about me. Besides , I will let you know if there's anything. I think I just need some rest"

"Did you talk to your Boss?" Nick asked.

"Not yet. I'll call him when I get home"

Later after Nick goes off to work...

Larry is now back at home. In bed , feeling more ill & tired. Due to his health right now, he called the school to let them know he wasn't coming.

Larry began to cough again. It was more of a violent cough that made him cough blood onto tissue. It was a lot of blood that not all of it stayed on the tissue.

Seven years later, 56 year old Larry Daley was still a high school history teacher. He still misses being a night guard at the Natural History museum. He still remembered the good times he had with the friends he made there. He remembered going on risky adventures with them but it was worth it. But things change and that's the change he had to adjust to. He was used to being alone now since his son, Nick, who was now 30. He became a audio engineer. Nick was also married to his high crush named Andrea.

Yeah, Larry's son was very busy yet so was Larry himself but that doesn't change the fact that he lives alone. Larry wouldn't even bother to visit the museum & it's been so long. He notices that the museum in London has been visiting three times a year but he still doesn't go visit.

Larry convinced himself that he's made the right choice by letting them go even. Although he can't bring himself to see them after all these years. Now, he feels like they forgot all about him so he doesn't see the point of visiting.

But this time, Larry will step in the museum to check on his friends to see how they've been doing. Today was the day that Tilly , the night guard would bring the other exhibits over from London.

The doorbell rang on a Sunday morning. Larry got off from his couch to open the door seeing it was Nick. "Hey Dad" Nick smiled happily.

Larry smiled back and hugs his son tightly like his life depended on it.

"Oh , Nicky. I missed you so much. We've both been so busy and...we haven't had time to hangout and talk" Larry frowned & so did Nick.

"Yeah, but I hope you're doing great" Nick formed back a smile.

Larry forced himself to smile even though he's not really fine. He's been tired of work & tired of the loneliness.

"I heard that Tilly is here. It's been so long since we left the museum. I really miss Teddy, Dexter, Octy & Jed. I miss everyone, should we go see them tonight? Um...if you already got plans we can go another—"

"No,no, we can go. I was planning on it too. It has been so long &...I just hope they would remember me" Larry sighs.

"I know that they will" Nick places his hand on his Dad's shoulder.

"Let go out for lunch , Dad. And then we can make our way to the museum!"

The father and son went out to eat for lunch & hangout at the Theodore Roosevelt Park in front of the museum.

"So, how's school?" Larry's son asked.

"It's good. Students can get off task but I do make sure they pass my class so that I won't have to see them another year" Larry chuckled.

"That's good" Nick nods his head impressively.

"How are things going between you and Andrea?" Larry asked.

"Um...yeah about me and her..." Nick looks at his Dad as he gulps.

"I've been accepted another job in Louisville. And uh...Andrea has also been accepted a job as a Case manager. We are planning to move next year" Nick smiles with so much brightness.

"O-Oh? That's...nice" Larry forced a smile.

Why? What's wrong with New York?

Oh, how Larry wishes he can smile & be happy for his son but all he feels is more sadness coming over him as a son tells him that he's going to move to Louisville. Now, Larry feels ten-times more lonely than he was before.

Suddenly, he feels tightness in his chest, he winches, and holds his chest in pain. Nick looks closely at his Dad and got into panic mode "D-Dad? A-Are you okay?"

"Y-Yeah, I-I'm fine. I-It's just chest pain" Larry relaxes with his chest still hurting. He doesn't want his son to worry about him.

"Are you sure? We can stop by the drugstore and grab some medicine for you" Nick suggested.

"No, it's okay, Nick" Larry refuses.

"OK but if anything is off or if anything hurts let me know we can go home"

"Okay" Larry chuckles.

When it was almost sundown Larry and Nick went inside the museum. Everything seemed the same but it's been so long.

"LARRY DALEY" It was Tilly who greeted them.

"Hey, how are you?" Larry shakes Tilly's hand.

"I've been great! You?"

"Fine, how's being a night guard?" Larry asked.

"You were right. Best job ever!" Tilly smiled happily.

"I'm glad to hear t–" Larry coughed. "Skews me, i'm glad to hear that. Anything new or anything happened while they all came to life" he cleared his throat.

"No, not really everyone's behaving, no trouble. They are all a delight to have even when they all come together like this" Tilly giggles.

"T-That's great! I'm glad as well to hear great news from you and how everyone is doing" Larry smiles softly.

"Anyways, it's getting dark. Everyone else should be up & going in 3,2,1..."

Larry turns around hearing footsteps coming down the hallway. He sees Ankmenrah holding the tablet in his hand with a smile.

"Larry I would so glad to see you again. I missed you so much" The pharaoh hugged Larry.

"H-Hey there, Ank. I've missed you too" Larry hugs back.

"It is good to see you again dangly bells!" It was Lancelot.

"Hey Lance! it's good to see you too!" Larry shakes the knights hands.

"Hey" Nick greeted the knight.

"Nick! You're a man now! It's incredible!" Lancelot hugs Nick.

"Yes! And you are still the Lance I saw seven years ago" Nick chuckles.

The Rexy & Trixie met up as well. Everything else in the museum came to life greeting Larry one by one. Teddy also agreed to Larry with a big hug "It's so wonderful to meet you again, Lawrence!"

"It's great to meet you too, Teddy. It's been so long but I'm glad I'm here now" Larry tried not to cry.

"Oh and Nick how are you? It's been so long, you're all grown up now you become a man!" Teddy hugged Nick.

"Hey Ted!" Nick hugs back.

"Larry!" It was Sacagawea.

"Wow! Your hair is down & I am glad to see you too!" Larry observes Sacagawea's hair change before he hugs her.

"GIGANTOR!" It was jedidiah shouting along with Octavius, Dexter, & Attila all together.

"Hey!" Larry smiled widely. Dexter climbs onto Larry hugging his neck.

"I missed you too buddy" Larry padded Dexter's back.

"It's been so long my friend! How are you?" Octavius asked.

"I'm fi–" Larry started coughing again.

"Eww" Jed & Octy steps away in disgust.

Larry continues after coughing "I'm fine. You two?" He referred to Jed & Octy.

"We are good!" Jedediah smiled.

Attila surprises Larry with a huge hug along with the Hun crying on his shoulder.

"Bi chamaig sanaj baina!"

"Aww, I missed you too" Larry hugs the hun back.

"We should all do something together since we have reunited with our most dearest friend, Larry Daley & his son Nick" Teddy announced.

"Lancelot has a perfect idea for us to start off with!" Lancelot smirks at Tilly. "Karaoke night!" Lancelot raises his sword in the air.

"OH YUH!" Tilly howled.

"I'm guessing you all did Karaoke more than once" Larry looks at Tilly.

"I introduced them to it & you won't believe how many of them have such nice voices!" Tilly squeals.

"DADA!" It was Laaa , the caveman.

"Laaa! Hey Laaa, missed me?"

"Dada!" Laaa hugged Larry tightly making him fall onto the floor.

"O-Okay, okay! T-Take it easy, I'm in my late 50's now. I missed you too"

Laaa helps set up karaoke with Attila & Laaa while Nick & Lancelot catches up. Along with everyone catching up with one another.

"So" Jedediah said.

"So" Octavius smiles at his cowboy friend.

"I-It's been awhile since we talked. How are you feeling about Gigantor visiting us for the first time in forever?"

"I'm glad he finally came to see us" Octavius sighs.

"Me too, I'm also happy to see you too" Jed smiled at his best friend.

"Awww, so sweet of you , Jedediah to miss me that much. It makes sense that when the sun goes down I'm the first person you look for" Octavius grins.

"M-Me? Sweet?" Jed couldn't help but smile and turn away, also blushing.

Larry was in the restroom washing his hands. He started coughing again but this time it was a very harsh rough cough. Larry held onto the sink coughing loudly then warm liquid came out his mouth, it was blood.

Larry shrugs it off and washes the blood away. He didn't want to worry about what was happening to him most of all he didn't have time to care right now. He missed his friends & he wants to spend time with them. Nothing was going to get in the way of his night.
