I catch myself giggling and kicking my feet when ppl describe how powerful and amazing Kaladin is and everything he has done and is capable of. Like I'll be twirling my hair around my finger, big grin on my face.

I remember reading way of kings for the first time and absolutely loving the scene where shallan decides to dive from the boat and see the santhid underwater so she could draw it, like it was just so magical??? she really did what no one had done before she even became a proper scholar and it sucks that we didn’t get more of this exploring in the later books because it really was so beautiful. I feel like it’s what truely made her happy but of course with finding urithiru and becoming a full time radiant while dealing with all her complexities the girl was a little stretched thin. the closest we got to the santhid was her seeing the starspren in shadesmar with Adolin (another absolutely beautiful scene), but we were really robbed of not having her go more places, draw more things, discover more in general. she was just a teenage girl on an adventure in TWoK and clearly she loved the natural world, I just wish she got more time with it before having to handle so much responsibility.

I went into Rhythm of War completely blind and as a whore for Kaladin and Navani i of course absolutely fucking loved it!!!! You all would not believe my shock when I realised it was considered the worst in the series???

Could it have used some refinement? Yes absolutely. But was Kaladin in the tower with no powers absolutely bodying everyone not awesome??? My dramatic little king hitting his fourth ideal was unmatched.
