What does Graphic Design represent for each of us ? To me it is like a game. A Puzzle game where you try different approach until you get a fulfilling result. You have a rules and a limited set of tool but have different ways of using them. This project is about how fun and fascinating Motion Graphics is to me. A film about a toy that plays with the line between 3D and 2D resulting in a multitude of way to play with shapes.

Fear and time are depicted as omnipresent forces driving artistic growth, while introspection and reflection play crucial roles in the creative process. The artwork culminates in the imagery of a ticking clock fracturing to reveal a crystal, symbolizing the transformative power of overcoming constraints to achieve artistic expression and innovation.

It’s the music that inspires the dance.

Some time ago, Avi (behance.net/avikalilomavatu1) came up with the idea for a personal project with a fundamental question: What if we let the concept be shaped by the music? What if we allowed the melodies to choreograph a ballet of shapes?

That’s where Ambrose (ambroseyu.com/) entered the picture, composing a symphony that would serve as the centerpiece for everything else. The music set the tone, evoking feelings of persistence, determination, and breakthrough. We divided it into a sound chart consisting of four sections and got to work.

Avi initiated the design process, exploring bold and unique shapes devoid of shading. This approach allowed us to arrange compositions that synchronized seamlessly with the music’s rhythm, using the theme and sound chart as the cornerstone for design.

The resulting designs were deceptively simple yet captivating, and we aimed to maintain the same direction in the animation. The stark black-and-white aesthetic compelled Jorge to animate it in a manner that conveyed sharpness and impact, all while ensuring the more organic elements of the animation harmonized with the overall concept.

We call it “Instrumental Visual Poem”. An experiment, a dance of sound and imagery. Created by Avi, Ambrose, and Jorge.

This title sequence is for our documentary film, O Pioneer!

The titles tell a story. The terrain is built from real maps from the Appalachian mountains, each character is represented abstractly, and there are hidden messages that unfold in the bigger story.

Specifically, we modeled Nellie’s pin cushion, a train similar to what we filmed in James’ back yard, and the Green Bank satellites from a field trip Tim takes with his daughters. We’re so thankful for a gifted team that made these possible.

About the Work A three-dimensional motion graphic was crafted based on the "Battle of Sekigahara Screen" held at the Sekigahara Town History and Folklore Learning Center. The production was designed to effectively convey the ambiance and vividness of the Battle of Sekigahara.

About the Project Okazaki City and Sekigahara Town have formed as "Sister Cities" due to their historical connection to the Battle of Sekigahara, in which Tokugawa Ieyasu established a 300-year era of peace for the Tokugawa clan. This video is a result of the sister city partnership between Okazaki City and Sekigahara Town, made possible with the cooperation of Gifu Prefecture, utilizing digital data of the "Battle of Sekigahara Screen" provided by Sekigahara Town to Okazaki City.

作品について 関ケ原町歴史民俗学習館に所蔵されている「関ヶ原合戦図屏風」をもとに3Dモーショングラフィックスを制作。関ヶ原の戦いの空気感、臨場感が伝わるように演出した。

プロジェクトについて 岡崎市と関ケ原町は、徳川家康が関ヶ原の戦いを機に徳川300年の泰平の世を築いた縁により、「ゆかりのまち」提携をしている。本動画は岡崎市と関ケ原町の「ゆかりのまち」提携により実現したもので、岐阜県の協力により関ケ原町から岡崎市に提供された「関ヶ原合戦図屏風」のデジタルデータを活用している。
