As someone who loves Ein, I feel like his entire character, like many is wasted potential, alongside other villains like Balto and Ivy.

He could've had his entire arc revolve around how the forever potion could help others and become stronger and more powerful, like some sort of corruption. Unfortunately, he was just used as another obstacle between Aaron and Aphamu.

This, alongside many reasons, fueled me to rewrite Mystreet entirely, because of these concepts with the forever potion and unknown family ties. It just makes me sad.

It would especially make the fallouts of these very interesting if Ein didn't have the whole tragic break in PDH, what if it happened in Emerald Secret instead. Breaking the trust of years of friendship.

Enough rambling but yeah. TLDR; I agree lol

i disagree with the previous anon who said that ein was only memorable as a villain.

in my opinion:

pre-twist pdh s2 ein >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> post-twist villain ein.

he was just so much more fascinating, intriguing, multidimensional and complex to me in those early pdh s2 days. he had SO much potential as a character but they had to ruin it.

they should've leaned more into the omega thing.

it was implied he was bullied when he was omega, but it was never explored in depth? they should've dove into how being omega negatively affected him and made him into an emotional mess hellbent on getting power so he can take revenge...

also remove the incest bs please. they should've made his dynamic with aphmau be brother-sister from the very beginning... that would make their falling out much more tragic.

and this advice pretty much applies to any aphmau character if you want to make them more complex and developed than they ever were in canon: HAVE THEM INTERACT WITH CHARACTERS WHO AREN'T APHMAU AND AARON.

pdh s2 had ein interacting with kai, daniel, dottie, rylan, blaze, kacey, katelyn, teony, sasha, zenix, gene, jax, ryder... those interactions were always the most fascinating to me. in ms s4 & s6, his character pretty much revolves around aphmau and aaron, like so many other characters do.

mind you, they literally had a backstory in the works for him, but randomly gave up on it out of nowhere. we should've seen that. it's clear they just gave up on writing a complex character so they could have a 100% evil villain who would serve as a representation of jess' toxic high school ex.

they should've shown us his home life in the western wolf tribe. they should've shown his mother, who probably raised him by herself because zack wasn't around (fun fact: ein's mother was revealed in a gachaverse parody video 💀)

there's just SO MUCH to explore. endless possibilities and potential...

ein had the capability to be another azula or kokichi/komaeda archetype with proper writers.

but instead... he's reduced to a personification-of-evil villain who is promptly killed off and brought back whenever they need tension or conflict in the story.

so much wasted potential... just like so many aphmau characters.

Hey aphmau fans! As you can see I’m not dead, yay! And I am still continuing alternate paths, double yay!

I’ve had a heavy loss of motivation due to multiple factors from school exams, summer ending & just trying to get my life together in general, BUT I haven’t forgotten about this project, which proves that I still want to write this story!

Therefore, I am back!

I have started writing chapter 6 while going back to revise older chapters & started making a discord server.

Most importantly I decided to finally give (B/F), (Y/N)’s best friend (who was named weird thanks to me) an official name! In celebration of that, I made fanart of her & Balto above!

My rewrite isn’t the exact same but Aaron & Aph will not get together nor will Aaron ever have feeling for Aph. I was debating on Aph maybe having a puppy crush during PDH but never go anywhere.

so as i’m sure most of you know, aaron and aphmau do NOT get together in my rewrite. not ever. they never have feelings for eachother in any way shape or form EVER and aaron is like a mentor to aphmau during their brief time together.

and in both my rewrite and canon, aphmau is irene and aaron is the descendant of shad.

I just realized this was a thing after reading this and now I have another thing to add to the list of changes

its your fav mcd-was-a-political-thriller anon and im here for a spicy take: Jesson needs to stop making blatant microaggressions as cutesy 𝖖𝖚𝖎𝖗𝖐𝖞™ questions or as a hahaha funny gag™ when werewolves and mei'fwa are written to be discriminated minorities.

In MCD s1, we're told that werewolves are dangerous brutes who are aggressive, but then we're shown how level-headed Bodolf is, how the western wolf tribe actively helps Aphmau and how they're genuinely good people. We even have a sweet arc where Donna accepts Logan for being half-werewolf and they both adopt Yip (who's the only surviving werewolf member of a GENOCIDE). S1 actively subverts the expectation of werewolves being dangerous or stupid, they're equals to their human cast members. ... Then S2 Ep72 (0:30—2:05) happens where Aphmau and Zoey are being fucking racist to Yip where the following conversation ensues:

It's even worse with Mei'fwa with how in PDH, Aphmau was asking Kai if he could go 'Nya!' to him or if Mei'fwa called the bathroom 'the litterbox' because MCD had an arc in Nahakara Village where Aph was discriminated against being a Mei'fwa. Also Kaitlyn being a canonical racist against werewolves cus they beat up her brother?????? I know jack and shit about whatever the hell happened to MyStreet beyond S3, but hearing about Aph's mom having a race kink is ಠ▃ಠ Like, oh my fucking god these microaggressions are awful, and I HATE how they're being played off as jokes because its so discomforting as a POC. These jokes would be absolutely fine if Jesson didnt made werewolves or mei'fwa victims of oppression/discrimination. Please, rewriters of MCD and MyStreet alike, please do not repeat this😭😭😭
