Short version of my life Gangs, drugs, and criminal life. Early 2003 my buddy that had3kids&his girl I had4kids&my girl. We would hang out.1of there kids was diagnosed with leukemia&Isaiah didnt make it, RIP. After that I prayed to God&asked him to protect my kids for whatever is in store in there futures=life, health problems , death and instead take my life&spare theres AMEN. Fast forward 2005 I got shot4xs. On floor bleeding out&its true that your life flashes before your eyes. All the regrets, of bad stuff, memories of me and my siblings as lil kids, the realization of not being able to see any of my kids anymore, my parents, my girl@the time my last kid a girl was only2weeks old all i could think was how my baby is not gonna know who I was a father that loves you SOOO MUCH & how I ruined my life and was going to die. In that moment whatever feelings I had about not being worthy, or suicidal dissapeared and wanted to live I was pleading with GOD to let me live. I got shot once in lower abdomen, left back shoulder blade left buttocks & the4th grazed the whole back of my neck. I made a full recovery. After being homea month dippressed, and guilty for still having life when kids die all the time and i didn't. GOD came to me and it was the most joy, love, happiness, righteousness, and the light was warm, BRIGHTER THAN THE SUN but it didnt hurt to loook right into it&with out saying ONE word I new the answer to my question. Why did I live!?? God said it wasnt cuz you believed in me and it wasnt because you cried and pleaded. It was because YOU WERE willing to give up your life to save another and that prayer. Lord Thank You for my second chance and thank you for hearing the world prayers and Thank you for our healths and struggles because they make us stronger in the long run and teach us to be kinder to one another, to stand up for one who cant stsnd up for themselves, countless reasons, AMEN.
