T-1.5 days before i move out of this flat at 126A2...and I’m currently sitting on my bed on tumblr and youtube and twitter and procrastinating (as usual).
I will miss this comfy bed and the not humid air and SPACE OMG.

3 weeks at EUC!
I am quickly nearing three weeks at EUC and over a month in Rotterdam in general. Time sure does fly fast because I feel that most of the time I’m just at home reading and doing homework, which is important but time management is a hassle and I’m still learning.
So far, I have the cooking thing down, which I am really glad about. I never knew that I could enjoy cooking this much before I came here, but now I’m glad I do. My one concern is buying random ingredients that I won’t finish, but there’s just So. Much. Food. available at Dutch supermarkets. Truly a cook’s paradise.
Re: school - I really enjoy this school, even if the school work is busy. At first I was nervous about the PBL but now I’ve realized that it’s not too bad. Overall, the teaching quality here is much higher than in CUHK and the professors really know their stuff and are passionate about teaching. Education-wise, I would rate my experience so far 10/10.
I’m taking Entrepreneurship and Climate & Us this quad. Entrepreneurship is alright, even though I still struggle to finish all the readings in time. I’m also a little awkward with the people in my PBL group I feel, probably because I don’t know anyone in the group. I don’t think I did too amazing in the past two mini-exams so this week I need to buckle down and hopefully not do too poorly? Climate & Us is the class I enjoy more, even though the readings are so long and sometimes difficult to understand. But I’m genuinely liking it. It’s an interdisciplinary humanities course about climate change. I really like the lectures (which I’ve missed twice already because I can’t wake up lol), and the discussions are illuminating and thought-provoking. I think that my tutor raises some really interesting points of discussion.
Another thing that struck me about the students here was 1) how diverse their backgrounds were - many of these students (including the Dutch ones) have been to international school, so it was like a welcome throwback to ICS days. 2) very academically focused, but with a desire to learn - so this isn’t like HK where we want good grades too, but at the expense of learning. I guarantee a room full of HK students would not talk in PBL unless it was a graded discussion and even then people would stress out. The PBLs here are much more organic and I truly feel like I’ve learned and absorbed more in the few weeks I’ve been here. That being said, if I did a full course load it would’ve been a huge ass-kicking for me, so I’m glad I’m just on exchange. I recently finished my first assignment yesterday (with APA whoo!) and I feel like I’m getting the hang of it? Even though my assignment wasn’t great tbh.
I’ll update more on what my first month here was like and what I’ve been doing daily. Oh, and also about the people I’ve met here.
