Thank you!
As the school year nears its end, I would like to thank sir for the effort he has put in giving us sufficient materials needed in understanding lessons. Together with my friends who have helped me through the topics I had difficulty in, and having the patience to teach me, and even share their notes. That is all for Anika’s grade 11 math blog! See you in more mathematical journeys!

Week 4-8 Long Test 2
Tumblr media
The school year comes to and end with a bang. A bang since I was really surprised with how difficult the 2nd long test is:’) I sat down, thinking I’m 99% prepared for the long test, even preparing my notes, only to be left dumbfounded at some of the conceptual question. I, however, instantly perfected the table hehe. Eventually though, through multiple trial and errors, as seen in my scrap paper for the long test, and revisiting modules; I got my target perfect score.

Week 4-7 Sketching of Graphs using Derivatives
Tumblr media
I’m taking back last week’s statement that it was the easiest lesson because this one tops it. It technically isn’t a new lesson, so it was easy to understand since it was just a summary of the past two weeks. I had fun combining them, and even got confused at one point, pertaining to the amount of times I took the quiz this week hehe. Not only is it the easiest lesson for this quarter, but the whole grade 11, probably since I already have the background on the topics included. I would say this is the best way to end the school year’s topics in math:) thank you sir for this school year. Hoping to see you face-to-face next school year!

Week 4-6 Concavity and Second Derivative Test
Tumblr media
Out of all the lessons this quarter (so far) this is the easiest so far, since we already have a background with last week’s lesson, together with 3rd quarter lessons. The quiz was also quite fun and confusing to answer since I tried answering without learning the module for the first two attempts. In my final attempt, I reviewed the modules, and got a perfect score.

Week 4-5 Extrema of Functions and First Derivative Test
Tumblr media
I will admit for the synchronous meeting for this week, I had a hard time keeping up with sir because there was so much going on with many terms and numbers being thrown around. I am also not that good with visualizing intervals, so I had a hard time listening only to sir. After the synchronous classes, I discussed with my friends regarding the topic, and actually found it quite easy, since it was not really a new topic, and more of a review of grade 8 lessons and some grade 11 lessons. I did great for this week’s quiz, and got perfect for my first attempt.

Week 4-4 Long Test 1
Tumblr media
The first long test for this quarter was easy to answer since all of the past lessons had the same themes. I got a score lower than what I expected, but I think it was because I was rushing the long test hehe, after answering did I only realize my mistakes and the missing steps for other problems. Even though it was not my ideal score, I could say that I did well basing off how I first encountered these lessons, where I was on the verge of tears trying to solve for the unknowns

Week 4-3 Related Rates
Tumblr media
The lesson for this week was confusing for me when discussed during the synchronous meeting. However, after opening the modules and trying some practice exercises, I got the hang of it. I could also say the amount of word problems for this quarter helped in my skills regarding word problems, and analyzing what needs to be done. The quiz was relatively easy since it was patterned just like in the module

Week 4-2 Rates of Change and Rectilinear Motion
Tumblr media
For this week, it was easier for me to grasp since the lesson last week helped me exercise my critical thinking for word problems. The lesson for this week also had formulas I could use, which also aided in understanding the lesson. The quiz this week was also relatively easy since I also asked helped from my friends on how to properly solve the other numbers

Week 4-1 Optimization
Tumblr media
The first lesson for this quarter was confusing for me at first since I have a hard time with word problems. It was however fun to solve, since I felt very accomplished once I got the right answer. After a few discussions with my friends, and after going through the interactive lesson, I eventually got the hang of it and excitedly answered the quiz for this week which I got a perfect score in.

Week 3-8 Long Test
Tumblr media
The last long test for this quarter was very fun to answer, but very time consuming. Midway answering the long test, I though of giving up because of how tedious it was. I even forgot at one point that the long test was time constrained. The questions were challenging, especially the last questions since I am quite bad at radicals.

Week 3-7 Higher Order Derivatives
Tumblr media
The lesson for this week was fun and quite time consuming. The intro video for this week was a nice touch (sir sana sa next weeks din :D) and motivated me to learn about the topic. The concept was easy to grasp, and after a few exercises, I could say that I got the hang of the topic.

Week 3-6 Implicit Differentiation
Tumblr media
The lesson for this week was quite confusing since I am used to y not being included in the solving part. Although after many exercises through the practice quizzes helped me gain confidence and made me better in solving implicit differentiation. There was one number in this quiz that I had trouble solving, and when I asked my other classmates, they did as well which caused me to take the quiz for a long time

Week 3-5 Continuity and Differentiability, and Common Behaviors of Graphs of Non-differentiable Functions + Long Test
Tumblr media
My fifth math long test for grade 11 was relatively easy, since the topic is repetitive, and as long as you practiced the different rules, you would eventually become comfortable with solving different problems. In addition to this, having a copy of the rules makes it easier for me to solve the different questions in the long test

Week 3-4 Chain Rule
Tumblr media
The fourth week of the third quarter has to be one of the easiest but most tedious weeks. The lesson was quite easy to understand, but it is very tedious since the chain rule consists of many variables, just as its name says- its a chain of equations. This week has also helped me become faster in computing for the derivatives using the rules I have learned for the past few weeks.

Week 3-3 Derivatives of Transcendental Functions
For this week, it was quite confusing for me at the start, since there was trigonometry and new rules that were added, but got the hang of it after going through the interactive lesson. I start getting confused whenever trigonometric functions are included since there are many rules to be followed, but I listed them down instead of memorizing them, and it has even helped me memorize some of the derivatives of these trigonometric functions

Week 3-2 Rules on Differentiation
Tumblr media
The lesson for this week was fun to learn. After having gone through the tedious process of using the limits definition to search for the derivative of functions, learning about the rules on differentiation made life easier, and was actually a fun process. The quiz for this week was also relatively easy making it fun to answer
