Grass is hard to draw, trees are hard to draw, hills are hard to draw. Everything is hard to draw actually
It was worth the trouble though. I really like how it looks

People are so much more sad, and desparate, and lonely than you think. I have had three incidents in the last four months were a technician I was working with was being either dangerously unfocused (we work with high voltage), or just flat out angry with their coworkers, and every time when I just pulled them aside to say hey, this isn't you, you're nice, and you're competent, so something must be up - what can I do to help - they have responded by bursting into tears. One guy was struggling to get his wife moved into a care home, one guy just got served divorce papers, and the other hadn't slept a wink the night before because his daughter had the pukes.
I haven't spent my whole life responding to people being rude, or stupid, or dangerous with knee jerk compassion. It's a new habit. The first time I did that as the lead for my lab, it was because the guy genuinely was so good natured that I knew something had to be off. But the other two times were just me going, alright, lets see if it always goes this well, and so far, it has. I'm almost 30, and I just figured out that the #1 reason people are shitty are because they are going through shit.
I don't think you have, like, a moral obligation to respond to people being jerks with knee jerk compassion. But it has made my life so much easier the last four months that I would recommend trying. For your own sake. Please.
(I'll step off my soapbox now. Enjoy your Sunday.)

I’m going through such a rabbit hole, first it was just finding out more about bilibili (Chinese video hosting site akin to YouTube) but now I’ve learned about Lofter (Chinese Tumblr) and now ihuaben that seems to be the Chinese Watpadd???
#the further I go the less known information there is about these sites outside of China.#like Lofter is pretty niche but you can find Reddit threads about it from fanfic writers n stuff#but huaben??? I’ve seen NOTHING. how known is it even inside of China??

[ID: a symmetrical digital illustration of overlapping teal lizards and snakes, with yellow leaves in the background. end.]
August 14th was World Lizard Day - if you missed it this year, go ahead and take a minute to belatedly ponder a lizard today.

This will be worded so messily and unorganized but asexuality is so weird like, you often end up questioning yourself because you don’t even know what sexual attraction is supposed to be like.
So many people don’t realize their asexuality cause they assume whatever attraction they do have must be the oh so fabled sexual attraction they hear so often about, see the common ace experience of confusing aesthetic or romantic attraction for sexual attraction.
Just the uncertainty of having thoughts like “I found this person pretty, is that sexual attraction? I kinda get nervous when I talk with this one classmate, is that getting ‘butterflies in my stomach’?”
Or there’s the alternative experience of assuming sex and sexual attraction is actually this one huge inside joke everyone’s into but of course nobody actually feels these things, right?
And the proceeding realization of “wait, you’re not joking? None of you are?”
I myself know so little about sexual attraction, it feels so foreign to me, and I’m just left with so many questions, Recently I just learned myself that apparently finding someone attractive and being attracted to them are two different things? What?? How do allo people keep up with all this stuff???
Being ace is weird

Headcanons
With all the fire and smoke and ash and concrete dust flying around during the Newgrounds Crash, it became common for survivors to end up with either acute or chronic lung conditions. Scratched and bleeding lungs, pulmonary fibrosis, hypoxia, things like that.
For a few years, there was a collective effort from animation society to try and make things easier for folks with long Crash symptoms. Legislating for better air pollution regulation, perhaps make smoking less of a cultural mainstay (this was circa 2011 so vapes weren't a thing yet).
Some of these efforts have faded and loosened over time overall, but you can still find some individuals who do all they can to make spaces safer for peoples' lungs.
