I don't even really read fics but i almost want to read proship stuff or just at least click on it to give the author the traffic to help combat the utter fuckin thought policing I see people attempting to do as if thoughts = irl intent

Like people can like bizarre shit in fiction and it doesn't mean they're gonna fuck their mum or desecrate a corpse or whatever. Seeing people joining online groups and then immediately dog whistling about how so and so creator is dangerous and predatory and disgusting cause they read or write incest ships is beyond me. It makes me feel legitimately like an old man shouting at a cloud when I see it because I'm like "really, we're clutching our pearls over fiction now?" But at the same time I also see a common and popular narrative be "can't wait to write gore of this character" or "can't wait to put this character in horrible situations" so it's fine to like all of that stuff but the second a penis enters the fic it then becomes sick and off limits.

If you're cool with gore and death and taboo shit in your non sexual fics, then let people write that into their sexual fics. Only equal opportunities fucked up shit on my Tumblr dot com blog. YOU don't have to read it but it doesn't mean you're being personally targeted if you have to scroll by it.

Begging people to stop valuing moral superiority points online above all else. Writing bad or problematic things is not the same as condoning them. Learn how to consume media like a goddamn adult and stop harassing people you don't fucking know because they write kink that makes you uncomfortable. You have the ability to ignore posts/content you don't like or block creators that make stuff that triggers you. This is in response to people finding out who the musicians are because they're credited in the Skeletour program, and then whining about how the anonymity is ruined.

Fans being upset that the Nameless Ghouls are not anonymous offstage make no sense, especially when they're officially credited for their work in the band Ghost.

On stage they are playing characters. They are separate from their actors. The "magic" of their anonymity is not destroyed by knowing who they are off stage.

Are you upset to open a program for a stage play only to find out who each character is played by on that stage? Does it ruin the fun? Does it make their acting less impressive?

"They're supposed to be Nameless" - this applies to the characters. To say that about the musicians isn't fair and it is in fact problematic to insist that their work has to be uncredited.

Furthermore, it's not weird or creepy for people to find out who they are immediately. No one is out here doxxing them, and it doesn't take an internet sleuth to find out who they are.

For some of them, they had fans before joining Ghost. They also follow Ghost on social media and/or the other unmasked musicians. It's not difficult at all to discover who they are.

I'll respect folks who want to keep the unmasked musicians and the Nameless Ghouls separate, but having a fit over finding out "without warning" who the musicians are is just juvenile.

I think it's time that Ghost fans move on from the expectation that everyone needs to carefully hide their identity. Tobias has very much moved on from this, and it's worked out better for the band.
