she bristled at the sight of mikey , her wild hair was mostly gone , messily chopped off , she was dressed in dark colors and she slowly blinked at him taking an awkward step back . she looked afraid , her fur was dirty and she was covered in fur hidden bruises . her eyes emitted a soft red light ,      ‘ i - i’m , h - hello . . . ‘      she almost immediately looked away , as soon as her foot had grown back she’d been excited to join the hamatos , at least till her inclinations came back . she’d ran away the night they did , she was terrified of hurting them .

the rodent child’s hands and eyes glowed green , lighting up the dimmed alley , she was on a mission , shade never took kindly to her being late from them . her hair was a choppy oily mess where it was once soft and clean , her fur was dirt and grease stained and she brandished several injuries . she looked more like a child charlize theron then a little girl . she frowned as she drew closer but finally muttered ,       ‘ i’m sorry . ‘       before green flames burst above her hands and she drew closer letting them slowly grow .

‘ s - sorry , bad habbit . ‘      she promptly apologized before they walked closer , her fur was on end and she was doing her best to hold a brave face . her eyes were darting around  cautiously , she felt unnerved by the place it had shades sinister aura everywhere . he’s not here , he’s not here , he’s not here . she was mentally repeating it in an attempt to keep herself calm .

       Michelangelo’s heart froze in his chest, a knot tightening in his throat as he stopped for a moment in front of his little sister. He stared at Evelyn, his expression turning from disbelief to determination as he shut his eyes tried to force his way past her and continue toward the lair            “No. No way!                       They can’t be gone! There’s still a chance!”

                                 “I… we.. we’ve got to save them!”

her eyes were wide and tear filled , pieces of her fur and hair were burnt or missing ,her hands and eyes still glowed green . her fur was smoke tainted and she was occasionally choking . heat radiated from the sewer entrance . her eyes were dripping as she slowly looked up to him .      ‘ it’s it’s my fault - i - i killed them . . . ‘     

this had all started with a night terror , the room had burst in flames and the fire was quick to spread , she’d barely gotten out and even so had suffered bad burns on her body and limbs , especially her tail .      ‘ i - i am a monster i ‘

that was when she burst into tears before bolting , trying to run down the tunnels on fours , only her injuries quickly caught up with her and she collapsed a few yards away with a pained whine .

🐢 ❝                 don’t g - give me that yet. i gotta get us both outta here first ..                   ❞ he breathed, biting his lower beak as he helped her lean against him. moving ahead with her close he made his way for an exit. hopefully it wouldn’t be too difficult.

she held onto him tightly , she’d always been so afraid of touching anyone , but with the metallic device around her neck she hadn’t shown those fears . it was covered in claw marks from her own doing . she had clearly tried getting it off but at some point given up . her body shook as she limped , using him as a crutch . unlike the boys she’d been underground instead of in a tower . hence why it had taken so long to find her . the stairs upwards were old but worked . her stomach dropped when she saw them however because she knew this would be hard . . . if she was alone , impossible .

‘ o - okay m - mike - mikey . . . w - we c - can do this ! r - right ? ‘

The cold wind carried a familiar sent, and of course he would follow the source. He knew in this weather conditions he would have a disadvantage cause it made him slower. Yet, he was able to see, hear and smell just fine.. From around the corner he would peek into the alley.

she was crouched in the snow earmuffs on tightly as she dug through the snow . her body was well guarded , covered in winter clothes and layers at that . she almost looked human from behind . she was fiddling with a small device as she hummed , she couldn’t hear much of anything .she was busy and preoccupied , she didn’t notice him .
