dvrciie:
Darcie was taken back by the girls attitude, something she didn’t expect over something as minor as her parking spot. If Darcie hadn’t had her morning cup of coffee, she probably would have given a little attitude back but even she knew confrontation was hardly her thing. “It’s whatever. I guess it’s just a parking spot after all. Do you need any help carry those? Clearly I’ve got nothing else to do.”
Tumblr media
"If you want to help me then you can, it doesn’t really make a difference. Other than you getting your spot back quicker, obviously” Amalia nodded, already beginning to load her arms up with as many bags as she could carry before turning to glare at Darcie. “Are you being sarcastic? If you have stuff to do, go fucking do it. Just park somewhere else for now.” Clearly she was being unreasonable but that wasn’t entirely uncommon for her.

bcllamyx:
For a split second, there was the tiniest inkling of a doubt that lingered with Bellamy which caused her actions to be hesitant and delayed. However, once her brown hues caught sight of those unmistakable features — even from a simple side view as Amalia glanced around — that existing doubt vanished instantaneously. In a swift motion, her thoughts were unable to keep at the pace of her feet that were drawing themselves nearer to her former best friend. Her choice of wardrobe, her exceptional makeup — not even the timespan of six years that made up the massive gap between the two women would distort her conclusion that evidently, there had to be a special occasion preparing to happen. Just in time for Bellamy. ❝ Amalia Summers. ❞ Bellamy’s greeting embodied everything but welcoming as she sat herself down and angled her body in the other’s direction. A name that haunted her tongue for far too long without putting the face to match it — until tonight, that is. ❝ I almost didn’t recognize you — and not because of the pounds of makeup you caked onto yourself — but because of the pounds you’ve added on elsewhere. ❞ Her dig was meant to stir her insecurities, although it went unjust. If anything, Bellamy would have swallowed her words as she knew all too well Amalia was just as gorgeous as she was when she was still the closest person in her life. For the fiery loathing that Bellamy harbored towards Amalia, her demeanor revealed just the opposite; calm and composed. After she flagged the bartender down and obtained herself a drink, the brunette returned to her provocative intentions — and Bellamy was certain her following sentence would strike a chord. ❝ You know what’s funny? Erin and I were just here together the other night. Great choice. ❞
Tumblr media
If Amalia could have written a list of the people she least wanted to see in that moment, Bellamy Berardi would certainly have made the top five. Not only because of the bad blood between them but due to the vulnerability of her current situation. A situation she was sure Bellamy would find delight in ridiculing her for. Any encounter the two had had in high school had always been met with an equal level of confidence on both parts and yet Amalia was feeling severely disadvantaged on this occasion, her stomach had been swarming with butterflies from the very moment she’d entered the bar that evening. Bellamy, however, was clearly on top form with an insult falling from her lips almost immediately as she sat down. A fiery gaze fixed on the other brunette, lips pursed as Amalia attempted to regain her composure. That was one thing Bellamy had always held the upper hand on; the ability to keep her cool. Amalia had never had much control over her emotions, her expression often spoke more than her words did. “Too insecure about your own life that you still feel the need to go around attempting to bring down others? This isn’t high school, Bell. Grow the fuck up.” There was a false confidence applied to her words, although her tone held a lot less bite than it usually would, still feeling uncomfortable about the entire situation. Turning to face the drink that she had been nursing for the past half an hour, Amalia attempted to ignore Bellamy’s existence as best she could - she figured that would be the easiest way to ensure her anger was kept in check but there was no denying her renewed interest as Erin’s name passed her former friend’s lips. “What?” Nostrils flaring slightly, that same uneasy feeling she’d had before Bellamy’s arrival was now returning - there was something about the idea of the two people who were once her closest allies, albeit at different intervals, now spending time with each other that set her teeth on edge. “You and Erin are fucking friends now?” A roll of her eyes followed Amalia’s words. “’Cause that’s not at all weird. Whatever. You’re welcome to each other.” There was a flash of fire in Amalia’s eyes, whether it be from anger or jealousy it was clear Bellamy’s words had fulfilled their intention. “Now if you don’t mind, that seat is taken.”

The elegant blonde was dressed head to toe in the finest black Prada ensemble as she sat at the bar. Work had been rough and she had needed a drink badly, so she had chosen to stop and get one instead of heading straight home. Claire lit a cigarette and was about to take a drag when she felt a pair of eyes on her. “Can I help you with something? Or are you going to continue to stare and make me incredibly uncomfortable?” she asked the individual before returning her attention to the cigarette, taking a long drag of it.
Tumblr media
Fashion had always been something Amalia appreciated. Unfortunately, she could never really afford to keep up with the trends and she certainly couldn’t afford anything designer and so she found herself admiring the outfits of other’s on a regular basis. The clientele in the bar she worked at were never dressed as elegant as this woman was, however, and Amalia had unintentionally found herself staring for a little too long. “Huh? Uh, no. I’m good.” Had she not been working, she likely would have left it there but the looming worry that the woman might file a complaint about her had her continuing. “I was just admiring your outfit. It’s beautiful.”

Chris hadn’t even realized there was anyone sitting nearby, and he almost jumped out of his skin when a female voice - which for once wasn’t his mother’s - sounded out next to him. “Huh?” He took a moment to go over her words in his head and then gulped before frowning and looking away from her. “She kind-of calls at all hours of the day and night, and gives me hell if I don’t answer. Doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing. Sorry though - didn’t mean to disturb you.”
Tumblr media
Scrunching up her features at the other’s explanation, Amalia let out a low laugh. “How old are you? Twelve? That’s fucking ridiculous.” As usual, Amalia didn’t consider whether her words would be offensive or not, she just spoke her thoughts aloud. “Clearly I wasn’t really doing anything,” she began, dramatically gesturing to her empty hands. Her phone had died a little while ago and she’d forgotten to pack her book that morning; likely the only reason she had sought entertainment from another’s conversation in the first place. “So, whatever, it’s fine.”

“ what the fuck are you, a financial advisor? ” he asked, a raised eyebrow. his eye was squinted as he dampened his lips. “ who the fuck are you anyway? ”
Tumblr media
"No. I just have a lot of opinions and feel the need to tell you that your method is fucking careless and ridiculous.” With a heavy sigh, Amalia pushed the notes back in the place where she found them, only having retrieved them upon assuming the other had accidentally left them there. “Amalia... who the fuck are you? I was looking for the Peter. He used to live here but since you’re here and, last I checked this was a one-bed, I’m guessing he fucking moved out. Great.”

“Hold the door, hold the door, hold the door!” Hands full of groceries, the door to the apartment complex. Sighing, she slowed her walk to the door. “No, hear someone asking for you to hold the door, just keep going. It’s not like I have to juggle them enough as is.” Chaz muttered to herself as she got to the doors.
Tumblr media
Truthfully, Amalia had heard the other person calling out to her but she had simply decided she didn’t have the time to stop, not knowing she would be confronted about her decision only a few moments later. “Because it’s my fault you bought more than you can carry? Put your fucking bags down, open the door, hold it with your foot and then pick the bags up again. It’s not rocket science.”

It was lunch time but instead of closing the shop up, Raylee decided to keep it open and order some food. That’s how she ended up in the position she was right now, sitting by the counter currently eating her lunch. Hearing the small bell by the door ringing, letting her know that someone was coming in, she said without looking up. “Welcome to Raylee Electronics. How can I help you?”
Tumblr media
Having her laptop burn out on her was the cherry on top of an already terrible day for Amalia. Luckily, she had a small window of time available to head out and buy a new one; that being how she found herself walking up to the counter at Raylee Electronics. “I need the cheapest laptop you have - but it needs to have a webcam built in” she quickly added on. “Unless I can buy one of those separate? Technology isn’t really my thing. Oh, and, I’m in kind of a rush so if you could be quick about it... thanks.”

dcvidyang:
It was the curse of a person to imagine scenarios in their head, even despite knowing that none of these scenarios could ever come true. It was the curse of a father separated from his son to long for the son he never could hold. Absence made the heart grow fonder; it also made the heart sad. In the little moments of David’s life, he could imagine his son Phillip with him. Instead of the boy in front of him now, he saw his son. Except, of course, he did not know what to see. The image he had of his son in his mind was a baby; he no longer knew what to imagine.
That was the saddest part.
A laugh escaped the boy’s lips, wild and unruly and free, and David could not help the ache that stung his chest in reaction. Just as he was about to kick the soccer ball, he turned his head to watch the boy laugh. This would prove to be a mistake in that it made his heart ache all the more, and in that the ball he kicked flew towards a direction he did not expect: straight against the head of a park passer-by.
Tumblr media
The kid would laugh again, but the way he pointed towards the direction of the passer-by would make David turn his head away this time. And David would not laugh, would not even smile. Instead, he ran straight up to the person he’d hurt with a worried look on his face. Even before he could reach the person, he had apologies on his lips. “I did not mean to do that,” he said as he walked with urgency, “I am so, so sorry. Are you okay? I’m sorry.”
Having a whole day to herself was something of a rarity in Amalia’s hectic life. With the office she worked in closed for the weekend and her siblings busy spending time with their friends, she had decided to head outside for her workout today. Exercise was something Amalia enjoyed as regularly as she could, she found it a useful way of letting out her stress and worries but it was usually an activity she had to squeeze in between dropping her siblings at school and heading to work. Finishing up, she pulled her roll-mat from the ground and placed it tightly under her arm. Lifting her backpack, she flung it expertly over her shoulder before turning to head back in the direction of her apartment. What Amalia hadn’t expected as she turned around was the ball flying in her direction, feet stumbling back and items falling to the floor as it came into contact with her head at high speed. “What the fuck?” she immediately called out, taking a second to rub the point of contact before opening her eyes. Her expression softened for a brief moment when her eyes fell on the child but hardened quickly as the brat continued to laugh at her pain, shooting him an angry glare before she shifted at the sound of David’s voice. “Clearly. You’d be a fucking sadistic asshole if you had meant it. I’m fine, just - aren’t you supposed to be fucking good at this shit? I’d expect a soccer coach to actually be able to control the ball.”

ronin looked at her and then at the fridge. there was a magnetized notepad sticking to the door and he took it off, grabbing a pen from the top of the machine. “ should make a list then. ” he said, looking further in. “ ill pick up whatever i can. ” he closed the fridge and walked up to the bag of cookies. “ if they’re that finicky…” he trailed off pursing his lips and shaking his head. “ i hate to tell you, but you better get to baking cause they’ll tell. ” he said honestly.
Tumblr media
Nodding, Amalia scooped a few left over cookie crumbs into her mouth before looking over at her brother. “We just need the usual stuff really, the essentials; bread, milk, eggs, juice and stuff for lunches too” she reeled off, pausing as she searched her brain for anything she’d forgotten. “I need wine too but I can get that myself later” she added on, more as a mental note to herself than anything else. His comments on her cookies had her frowning, eyebrows pulling together tightly as she stared down at her handiwork. “I don’t have fucking time to bake, I’ve got a shift at the bar tonight... these will have to do. I’ve pretty much perfected the act of shutting those bitches up with one dirty look anyway. Do you need me to come to the grocery store with you or can you handle it?”

“No, Mother, I never said I was dating anyone … well good, ‘cos I’m definitely not, And there’s no need to sound quite so smug about that … what, does my voice change when I’m seeing someone, or something? … Ugh. Not listening. Nope. Nope … definitely not listening to my mom talking about her sex life. Nope. Okay … yeah … of course I love ya. Alright, bye.”
Tumblr media
Usually, Amalia couldnt care less about hearing conversations that didn’t concern her but considering she was sat just along the bench from this guy, she couldn’t help but overhear. “Wow. Your game must fucking suck if even your mom is trying to give you sex advice. Word of warning, dude. You should keep conversations like that for the privacy of your own home.”

Typically behaviors like this didn’t set her on edge anymore, so when the brunette practically snapped at her, Avery just cleared her throat before turning on the coffee pot. Anger management is the first thought that came to mind about her and she had to try a different approach. “Alright, then next time, please waltz right in and start talking, so with that being said start talking.” she took a seat at her desk and gestured for the other to take a seat. If she wanted to get straight to the point, then they were going to get straight to the point.
Tumblr media
Her angry outburst had come from a place of fear more than anything else. Yes, she usually had a short-tempter but her emotions were often heightened in unfamiliar settings. Therapy had never been something that had crossed Amalia’s mind, she had always been of the mindset that she could figure out any problem she had alone but. after a co-worker had suggested it to her, she figured it could do no harm - after yelling at them to stay out of her business first, of course. “What the fuck do you mean start talking? Start talking about what? Aren’t you going to ask me any questions or anything like that?”

“Right... who needs banks when you can just leave random piles of money hidden around your apartment in the hopes that you might stumble across them one day? Fucking stupid” she scoffed, the last two words mumbled slightly but still audible.

While Amalia had always been the type of person who took pride in her appearance, it was clear that she’d made an extra effort to look her best on this particular night. Her hair and makeup was immaculate and she’d spent far too long deciding on an outfit, the kind of outfit that was meant to make an impression. Amalia was on a date. She didn’t date often - if anything, she avoided it but there was something about this particular person who had her forgetting her reasons for avoiding anything like this in the first place. Tapping her fingers nervously on the bar counter, she sighed loudly as someone sat down on the stool beside her. “Can you not be here right now?” Yes, her words were harsh but there was a noticeable vulnerability in her tone - as though she was pleading with them rather than telling them. “I’m waiting for someone so if you could just sit anywhere fucking else, that would be great”
