Nothing super creative in the pipeline, this week. Just drilling on color theory and composition.

Being autistic and being a conscientious consumer is so difficult.
What I think of as being responsible and having moral standards in the products I use, neurotypical people might see as inflexible thinking and being difficult.
This recently got me into trouble with my master's degree program. A tutor for my module recommended that I use Adobe InDesign for making an interactive PDF, since most of my projects for that module were animated. The final portfolio was to be a PDF submitted through the college's portal. Around this time, Adobe announced that all work made using Adobe products belonged to Adobe and so could be used in their AI image generator's database. I find this extremely unethical and morally reprehensible, and I post about it to my master's program.
Unfortunately, there is no alternative software to making an interactive PDF that will display animated gifs. And the college portal accepts only PDFs, even though a DocX file would support animated gifs. So I am stuck. Ran down to the last minute with no other alternative. And so I am punished for being autistic, with my internalized sense of justice preventing me from doing what the college requires of me.

Made some new art today. Just a line art pencil drawing of a small section of my office. The way the curtains folded just really interestes me today

I think what really pisses me off about AI-generated images is that they look kind of okay at first, but more and more like shit the longer you look at them. Because they are filled with a million flaws that any self-respecting artist would have tried to fix to make the image more cohesive and realistic. But AI dorks? They just say, "good enough" and push their slop out into the world. I have never met a lazy artist, who hasn't at least tried to fix the flaws in their artwork before sharing it. And these AI dude bros? They don't have the patience or skill to even try. They're just like, "Computer Jesus, take the color wheel!" Because they're weak and incompetent and to egotistical to admit it.

Painting for my masters program. Based on a memory of my younger sibling telling me a story of their stuffed cat toy.
