our strategy is to hide Cora in a suitcase and take them with us. okay but in all seriousness we don't really know our strategy yet because idk we're not the best at comps or anything and idk what the strategy is in tar besides like not losing. and trying to do things fast. I think my goal tho is to just not overthink it (I will anyway probably) and try to be not the last team. I don't wanna win legs or anything? I think if we just make sure to be not the last team it will do us a lot of favours because we'll survive and not be a target. hmmmm but there's money as an issue. maybe I should just become besties with comp beasts. there seems to be a lot of comp beasts here tbh which is scary but like they'll also be targets for u turns so that's fine. captain and I are just the cute funny team that gets edits with clown music and everyone expects to flop early but hopefully we'll be the kind that's like that who have this surprising turning point? idk I'm scared and excited I just wanna subvert expectations. also I really thought we would stand out with our flamenco picture but someone wasn't even wearing shirts in their casting pic!!!! I love captain because he's so smart but in such a special way. like he will get a challenge and he won't know what to do but I KID YOU NOT he learns how to do it so fast and then he'll end up being up there with people who have been playing orgs since they were like 12 and have had years of practicing that kind of puzzle or whatever it is??? and the craziest part???? he's never cocky or arrogant about it. he doesn't even say a word he just does it and it's done and he does well and that's it. he's just so freaking humble and modest and kind??? LIKE SO KIND???? he will praise me and others and lift us up but he never does it to himself. he's also just so calm. like HJASJHASHJ IM A MESS I get so anxious and stressed and sad easily but captain always makes jokes and is just so cool and fun about it no matter what is going on he knows how to diffuse the situation to make me feel better. I love playing with him and simply having him in my life not only because everything is so much more fun with him, but also because I really do think he makes me better too. like makes me calmer and reminds me that whatever is going on....it's just a game. which is something I need to be reminded of often. I'm just really happy we get to play this game together and I hope we last more than one leg ASHJASHAJS I want everyone to see how amazing captain is.

HOW is this turning into Survivor already. Everyone is already flocking to my DMs. Most people are being genuine and want to connect with me but I also can't help but feel like I'm being thrown back into the war trenches of my past trauma of old ORGS. I can tell who wants to just know more about me and chat and who is trying to talk to me on a pure strategic basis. All I have to say is, gurl work on figuring out how flights and connecting flights work first before coming up with alliances. This isn't Survivor. We can't really team up if you're deadass thinking that we can get some slow ass direct flight from Newark to the Philippines that take 2 days. Hun, that flight needs to stop for fuel at some point?

[looks into the camera like i'm on the office] well that was dumb! no excuses truly! we really fucked this one up. so i hopped on google flights with dan last night and we were certain that the 2:50 flight had to be the best one bc it was so close to the noon departure threshold and short layover etc. dug around a bit, didn't see anything else, said "hey let's go ahead and submit it so maybe we can be first over the other teams" BIG MISTAKE! HUGE! first of all now: why would it matter whether we submit it first since we're on the same literal flight? for a five-second first place ranking that doesn't actually mean anything for the leg? honestly WHY would that be worth it. now we're here kicking ourselves because guess who found a better flight by like 3 hours? phil and chantele. which means if they found it, mr timmy lew almost definitely found it too, and who knows how many other teams as well. soooo we've just put ourselves in the back of the pack for no good reason, simply because we didn't do enough research and pulled the trigger too early. BIG F IN THE CHAT. and now ofc i made the mistake of divulging this to dan when we couldn't do anything about it, and sending him into a classic dan disbrow spiral, so i feel bad about that + him stressing is making me stressed + he's trying to reverse engineer how they could've possibly found that flight etc. finding it or not isn't gonna help at this point. we just have to show up and see how things stand. good news is, we have express passes and clocks and a shit ton of money. bad news is i don't wanna lose any of that yet. worse news is i feel like i jumped the gun on my partner again when i shouldn't have and i feel bad. sorry jacob ilysm

okay so first leg we formed a final 2 with eve and laney and now they are gone and I'm really upset about it cos I love them so much and I miss them. like I really truly trusted them??? and I don't feel the same about anyone else even tho I love everyone sjhsajhsahj I just- they actually helped me and captain without us needing to make the first move or anything and I just had this good feeling that they were genuine and they were so fun and I really wanted to play with them :((( so yeah I think I'm still sad about that. it sucks. and I have people in this game who wouldn't sabotage us but they don't help us either? so it's just kinda sad. we do have an alliance with Jarod and crow and Phil and chantele now but with Jarod and crow I know they know everyone and are also aligned with Shane and Lindsay and maybe other people too idk I love them and want them to do well but idk if we're a priority for them it's hard to know HJSAHJSJHA AND ALSO THEY ARE GOOD AT COMPS!!!! so they don't need the help. Phil and chantele are so lovely and cool omg I got starstruck when chantele talked to me for the first time because she's just so incredibly cool and fun to talk to, I really want them to go far and hopefully even further than us. they are just so kind and cool and eager and I think they deserve to win!!!!! I also love our little alliance with Phil, chantele, Jarod and crow like it's really fun and cute so yeah I'm happy <3 and I will learn to like trust Jarod and crow more LIKE IT'S NOT THAT I DON'T ALREADY I'M JUST KEEPING ONE EYE OPEN I don't have official alliances with these teams but I am in contact with maynor, joey and Luke and I trust they wouldn't ever sabotage me or captain and I wouldn't do that to them either. I have good relationships with all of them and I love them all a lot. I'm so happy to play with this cast!!!! I also love Lindsay and Shane seems nice so I should reach out to them and be more social. OOPS, haven't really been here before. Guess I'm going for the invisible edit this season, but before I inevitably go out at 8th like I did in my other 2 retirement home games, I should give an update on what's been going this season! ... nothing!! No one talks to me and I don't talk to them! Not the biggest social game right now anyway tbh. But! Starting yesterday, Nic has been trying to build some kind of relationship with me so I'll share strategies and info 👀👀👀. I don't really want to though LMAO, if I'm gonna get out of here alive, I can't be giving the tiny miniscule advantages I have away! I feel confident now in my ability to pick the fastest flights, so as much as I can I want to limit other people from getting there too! Leg 11 Roadblock #2

WFor the last challenge of the season, the players played One Star. For this challenge, we collected negative reviews from TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc for several iconic world landmarks. The players had to guess which landmark each review pertained to.

These were the answers:

1. Calgary Tower, Calgary I visited at night. Admission was 18.50$. I found this a waste because the windows were not anti-glare so you could not take pictures at night without seeing the inside building reflection.

2. Eiffel Tower, Paris The respect for people standing in line does not exist. We waited for 45 minutes, then they put up a sign that there will be no entrance to the top floor. They should have honored the people already in line and the new restriction should come after the last person in line. This will NEVER happen in the US as the respect for individuals is much higher. My experience proves it.

3. Sydney Opera House, Sydney Overpriced. Performance level amateur at best. The actors forced the audience to clap by pausing at inopportune times. Audience was a bunch of puppets. I'm glad I live where I live and not here.

4. Empire State Building, NYC This place is horrible. Waste of time and there is no reason to come. It was like 40 dollars and I had to walk up seven flights of stairs. Really that's a lot!!!

5. Waikiki Beach, Honolulu Go anywhere but here. If Oakland and LA had a baby you would get this. Don't ruin your day by spending time here. I only give 1 star bc it's okay for kids who want to learn or others who want to give away their money

6. Bondi Beach, Sydney Flies everywhere. EVERYWHERE. As much as I like the sun, I cut it short due to the annoyance of flies all around me. You probably wont want to spend more than an hour or two here, unless you love flies.

7. Whistler, British Columbia If they offer you a choice between a refund or a gift card, TAKE THE REFUND! I spent the better part of my vacation trying to find places that would take their ridiculous gift card. it doesn't say what shops take it, so you are left wandering around looking for a place to take the damn gift card.

8. Grand Pool, Las Vegas I almost feel like if you are not pretty they don't care about you. Ugly people save the most, it's almost like they only want uppity jerks in there most expensive places.THAT IS WRONG

9. Alcatraz Island, San Francisco Fly season or not, there is absolutely no excuse. I could maybe understand outdoors, but on the boats? Come on! My husband and I were miserable and it ruined what could have been a good experience. At the very least, they should make this information known before others waste money on tickets to sit in a disgusting and endless cloud of flies. Extremely nauseating!

10. Madison Square Garden, NYC Horrible experience. people were smoking weed. disgusting and inconsiderate for others. never will I attend this place again. I left half way through due to low lives.

11. The Pyramids Was expecting more and it was hot. Nothing much to talk about wish I’d stayed in the bar at the hotel

We also had a tiebreaker question where we read a review and the players had to guess what it was a review for.

Stonehenge, Wiltshire, England I saw a bunch of rocks placed in some strange formation and I just don't get it. Is it supposed to be a sex thing? Is it about bottoming? Also, I'd appreciate more menu options.

Leg 11 Detour

Here we are at Sydney's Walsh Bay! Home to beautiful views, the infamous Opera House, and the location where Dance Academy was shot (aka best TV show ever).

For this detour you can play Terrific Test or Memory Match.

For Terrific Test, you will both message your host chat when ready. You'll be sent two puzzles -- you each must complete one. The puzzles will consist of a bunch of shapes that you put together on Google Drawing to create a square like in the example below. You can rotate and flip the pieces however you want however you cannot resize them. Your score is based on how long it takes both puzzles to be completed. You can do these at the same time or separately.

In Memory Match, you are playing a classic game that tests your memory abilities: Simon! You have to submit the highest score that you can. Whichever team scores the highest will win. Both players must submit -- if one person does not, you get 0.

You must have completed one detour by 9:30 PM EST tomorrow, June 24.

To arrive here you must send us a commercial flight that leaves from any Jakarta Airport and must land in an airport in Sydney.

We are doing something different this time -- your flight just has to leave after your current racing time. Meaning the time we posted in the Game Updates channel is the soonest your flight can take off!

Leg 11 Roadblock

We're off to the Thousand Islands (no, there is no salad dressing).

Welcome to your first roadblock! This is a fun challenge that is a bit complicated so please read the whole thing and let us know if you have questions.

Today we will be playing Only Connect! This challenge has 3 parts, all of which must be completed by the same person. You will schedule a time to be on call with the hosts to do this. The whole challenge will take about 30 minutes and you don't need to speak or be on video but you do need to be able to hear the hosts. This challenge might seem complicated but it is definitely easier once you are on call doing it and we can explain again before you start if needed!

All of the categories will involve some elements of season trivia so it might be helpful to know what has happened in the game.

Part 1: Connections

In connections, there are four items that have been grouped together. There is a common thing connecting them. Your goal is to figure out what theme connects the four things. You will have to be specific -- if you are too general, the hosts will tell you to guess again. If you aren't able to be more specific, you will not get it right.

The way this works is you will first be shown one item in the category. You can then choose to guess what the category is or you can ask to see the next item. You can do this up until you've seen all four items. You have a two minute time limit on the entire category -- after two minutes you must guess, regardless of how many items you've revealed.

For example, your first image might be this:

At this point, you could either guess or you could ask to see the next item.

Now that you've seen two items, you might guess that the category is "hosts and admins for The Retirement Home". You would be correct! If you had kept going, these were the images you'd have been sent:

If you guessed on the first image you would get 5 points, 3 points on the second image, 2 points on the third, and 1 on the fourth. There will be three rounds in this section for a maximum score of 15.

Part 2: Sequences

In Sequences, there are also four items grouped together. They not only have a connection but they are in a very specific order. Your goal is to figure out what the fourth thing in the sequence will be. You do not need to figure out the category (although knowing it will obviously help).

For example, you might be sent this image:

From here, you might already think you know the fourth thing in the sequence or you might want to see the next image. The next image would be:

From here you might know the category is teams that played this season and you may have figured out this is the order they were eliminated. You might guess "Maynor & Timmy" as the fourth thing in the sequence which would be correct!

You get 5 points for guessing on the first image, 3 for the second, and 2 for the third. You won't be shown the fourth image until you've guessed as it has the answer in it. We will do this three times, two minutes per round, for this section for a maximum of 15 points.

Part 3: Walls

The final part of this is called Walls. You will be given 16 items and there are four categories each with 4 items.

On the first part of this challenge, you must first figure out what the groupings of items are. You can guess as many times as you like and we will tell you when you get a category right. You do NOT need to tell us what the categories are at this point -- all you need to do is guess which 4 items belong together. For each grouping of 4 you get right, you earn 3 points for a maximum of 12 points.

Once the five minutes are up, you have to guess the four categories used to group the items. You can guess categories even if you couldn't figure out what belonged in them. You will get 3 points for each category you guess for a maximum of 12 points.

For example, this is how the first image may look:

And here is how it would look once you grouped everything together using the correct categories -- cities in Canada, Desperate Housewives characters, Retirement Home hosts, and animals with colours in their names.

In Lemonade, your goal is for both partners to earn as much money as they can in this game.

In Lyrics, when you are ready you will message your host chat. We will then give you a puzzle where the answer is the lyrics to a song that was in the movie Mamma Mia! There are 5 puzzles total so you must each do 2 and you are marked based on how fast in total you do them. Here's an example of what the puzzle looks like:

Leg 9 Detour

We're here on Waikiki Beach, a beautiful beach just off of the busiest streets of Honolulu.

For your detour, you can choose between Combo Platter or Perfect Challenge.

In Combo Platter, you will each do this live with a host. When you're ready, message the hosts and you'll be sent an image. The image will be made up of one image several times and it is your job to count how many times that item appears in the image. Your score will be based off of how far off you are from the actual answer. There is a hard level and an easy level -- each of you must do one.

For example, if there are 50 boats and you guess 65, your score is 15. You want to get a lower score.

In Perfect Challenge, you will be given a mysterious flash game when you are ready to start. You and your partner will each have 30 minutes to do as well as you can on the flash game. You won't know what it is until you start it.

For two rounds, each player will have a turn to pick a hiding spot on the world map. A preview of the hiding spot will be shown to other players and it’s their job to figure out where the location is. The game will score you based on how far or close your guesses are from the exact location.

This challenge can be done on mobile but it is best done on either a tablet or a computer.

We will give you a few minutes to create an account and to prepare. This challenge will start on 9:45PM EST. Once the challenge is over please send in your decision for traveling on your host chat ASAP.

Leg 9 Flights

We're going to Hawai'i, baby!

To arrive here you must send us a commercial flight that leaves from any Havana Airport and must land in an airport in Honolulu. Your flight also must leave on or after midnight June 15th CDT. Your screenshot should look something like this:

Have the date, route, and airports visible on the screenshot. It may be advantageous for you to search and send in your flights as early as you can.

To submit a flight, send it to your team chat on Discord. Just a reminder that once your flight has been submitted, it is locked and you cannot resubmit!

One more thing... this round... there is a non-blind u-turn.

The first team to complete the roadblock will have the option to u-turn another team. This decision will be public. However, the u-turned team will not have to travel between detours -- they will only have to compete in both.
