I think it's very silly and unproductive, when a person says "I don't believe in that pronouns stuff," to respond with "BUT 'I' IS A PRONOUN! YOU JUST USED A PRONOUN!!!"

Because we all know full fuckin' well that "the grammatical concept of pronouns is evil" is not what they're saying, and responding to that willful misinterpretation of their position allows that person to dismiss your rebuttal as ignorant and irrelevant.

We should be addressing what they are ACTUALLY saying, which is usually "I don't believe people should be able to chose or share what pronouns they want to be referred to with."

That is a position that is bad, and should be challenged, and the semantic "actually 'I' is a pronoun" style response does not address that position in any way.
