I'mma leave this as a bookmark in case it happens
If LA28 doesn't open with a monster truck doing Olympic Rings donuts, I'm gonna be disappointed. All I'm saying is that if America is hosting the '28 Olympics and the opening ceremony is not off the fucking wall, there's a missed opportunity. Like, I'm expecting fighter jets, fireworks, and a fucking bald eagle bringing the Olympic torch into the stadium to light the flame. Better yet! Use drones to holo-image a huge eagle with the flame carried within. Have that thing land and light the opening of the LA28 ceremony!

I had a nap earlier, which had me dreaming. That in itself was nothing overly noteworthy, but what I did find interesting was that in the dream I drempt.
This ended up being a dream in a dream.
Not only that, I was in control of this dream too. Finally, in a state I would consider lucid dreaming. Something I've basically never been able to do.
I was aware of the dream. Had moderate levels of control over what happened. Was aware this was a dream in a dream.
When I finally woke from the dream's dream, I ended up back in the original surface dream, and back in a state of not being able to lucid dream. Back to being held to the whims of the subconscious plane.
Shame, really. It was nice in the dream's dream.
Wonder if I could ever do that again.
tl;dr: Can't lucid dream. One day, had a dream inside a dream, could lucid dream in that dream dream. Lost lucid dream ability when I woke from dream inside the dream.

Bed laying, and the thought came to me.
What do we do when all the people left are those who've only known the ocean to be toxic and deadly?
I'm curious for a tale where people are wary of large bodies of water because they do nothing but feel weird and make you sick if you come into contact with it.
Would water even be drunk in the same fashion? Or would people hydrate through other sources.
Would flowing water be the only safe source they know...
=.=
...I wish to know.

Is being a PC/NPC (Player Character/Non-Player Character) more of a spectrum than a hard binary?
Cuz like, sure, I can run around as Steve or Alex, punch down trees, craft, and mine. That's great.
And then there's like the villagers and traders. They live their lives, I can interact with them, but not play as them. And that's fine too.
But then there's the Sims.
And I just... I can't determine if there is a need for a PC/NPC binary. Because, sure, I play as my character. I choose what to do, what to eat, how they interact with their world... but so does my computer.
Like when I stop playing with my character and do something else for a moment. My computer takes the opportunity to take over and carry on playing as me. If I play as another sim, I could then interact with the former PC turned NPC.
In the end, I guess I am framing this from the perspective of the character in the videogame. Are they the PC or NPC, or is it possible to be a mix of both? That sort of thing.
I don't know. I'm curious to know what more kinds of Characters there are out there and if they work on a spectrum too. Or if it is more of a spectrum or a dichotomy for PC/NPC status.
tl;dr: Is being a PC/NPC a spectrum, or have I fallen down a Sims based existential rabbit hole?
