Appearance

Juno is a gray Wolf, with quite long and curly fur, making her look different than a typical wolf. She has been seen wearing different dresses throughout the series, such as her school uniform which is composed of a shirt, a bowtie and a long skirt. During the practices of the theater club she usually wears a white sweater and shorts and during the summer festival, she was seen wearing a formal dress.

Personality

Juno is quite social and is shown to treat all animals with kindness. However, she has also shown to be quite ambitious and showed a completely different side to her usually perky self towards Louis. Juno can be really possessive and would do anything it takes to be the next Beastar and to claim Legoshi for herself.

He has been shown to dress often in Legosi's old clothes, which are too big for him.

Personality

Most of the time, Jack is a joyful, fun-loving and affable. Jack is a little naive with his surroundings, with Tem's death he started to see how the herbivores began to have a little fear towards the carnivores, but he did not take much notice of this. He is worried about Legosi, who In spite of being a quiet wolf, his appearance seems terrifying to others.

Jack and Legosi are childhood friends, they met in a park where Jack could not get along with the other children, but Legosi was the only one who offered his hand to play. Since then Jack has been a faithful friend, always watching over the state of Legosi and worrying about his well-being.

With Cherryton being an elite school, Jack is quite diligent in his schoolwork, being the hardest-working of his dorm. Currently, he is the smartest student in his year.

Since he was little, Jack has been shown to look down upon his own heritage, with his species being the result of artificial tinkering with wolf DNA (dogs were made during the war in order to introduce a new species of carnivore with great intelligence and diminished aggression). Because of this, he developed well-concealed feelings of envy and resentment towards Legosi, seeing him as a superior relative. Later, these negative feelings regarding his species evolved into the belief that his condition as a dog corrupted his emotions and placated his empathy; he claimed that he could not cry honestly, so he peeled onions to force his tear ducts open.

When Legosi returned to Cherryton, he noticed Jack seemed wearier than before. During this time, Jack came to fear other dogs and their potential for apathy. Legosi later saved Jack when he attempted suicide by eating onions, which are poisonous to dogs.

Haru 🐰

Is a main character of Beastars, next to Legoshi. She was the former group leader of the Cherryton Gardening club and is currently studying botany at a university.

Appearance

Haru is a snow white rabbit. She has been generally seen in the series in her school uniform consisting of a shirt, with a small bowtie and a long skirt. When she graduates, she starts to wear more casual attire in University. Paru Itagaki describes two key points of Haru in Chapter 25: "Soft looking cheeks and arms" and "Childish and acts like an old lady".

According to Itagaki, Haru's appearance — especially her pure-black eyes — make her look like an actual rabbit. Most human babies will look adorable to other humans, so in that regard, rabbits will look somewhat lovely to carnivores.

Louis 🦌

Is a main character of Beastars, being the secondary protagonist to Legoshi. Louis was the head member of the Cherryton High Drama Club and was the candidate for the title of Beastar. He also served as the head of the Shishigumi for a time. Louis appears to be arrogant and self-righteous, but underneath him lies his insecurity about being physically weak.

Appearance

Louis is a red deer with a long, tall build. His face is fair, with handsome features and long, delicate eyelashes. He commonly appears with a slightly intimidating expression. Louis is often able to maintain a certain level of control in a situation. He sports long, elegant antlers, and is usually seen wearing his Cherryton Academy school uniform underneath a green jacket. Louis is physically weaker than the average red deer as a result of neglect and is very conscientious of his appearance.

Outside of school grounds and after school hours, he can be seen wearing his casual clothes, which usually consists of a T-shirt or jacket and dress pants.

Once he joins the Shishigumi as their new Boss, he sports a black leather jacket, pants, and dress boots.

Because of Louis's intended purpose to be sold as food in the black market, he has a permanent "4" tattooed on the underside of his right foot.

During Legoshi's fight with Riz, Louis offers Legoshi to eat his right foot for energy as a doping strategy. After losing his foot, Oguma his adoptive father, pays for a prosthetic for him so he can walk properly again.

Legoshi 🐺

Is a male grey wolf and the main protagonist of Beastars. Though feared and misjudged by others for being a tall carnivore, he is rather quite mild-mannered, docile and awkward. Legoshi has assigned himself to solve the mystery of the murder of Tem and is later exposed to the prejudices of the world he lives in.

Appearance

Legoshi has an imposing appearance with a height of 185 cm , 6 cm claws on his fingers, 30 cm feet, and a weight of 71 kg. Most of his body is covered by a greyish-blue fur coat while his face, neck, and chest fur have a cream color.

Legoshi is most commonly seen wearing his Cherryton Academy school uniform which consists of a grey vest, tie, white undershirt, and light grey slacks with dark grey vertical stripes.

It is later revealed that Legoshi has some slightly atypical characteristics due to his ancestry. In spite of this, he mostly resembles a common pure blooded grey wolf, though certain features that he inherited from his grandfather such as his facial structure, eyes, and mannerisms are visible.As the series progresses, Legoshi's appearance changes slightly. The accumulation of various scars across his face and body and the whitening as a result of sudden stress being the greatest examples.
