Is it love or the love of the chase? Is it civic duty or the love of power? Is it a love for community or a love for its exploitation? The chase is blinding. The chase makes one believe that their cause is just regardless of the means or that a past love lives regardless of the pain. The chase entices the ego and rewards it yet it leaves the soul empty. What good is the cause when it is contradicted by its means? What good is a past love when its present prevents its claim? What is the gain of such a chase? An empty cause? A polluted love? When the gun strikes, keep your feet planted. Let others go on their chase wasting away their ability to gain anything true for themselves. Turn away from the chase. Turn away from the contradictions, from the ego, and from polluted motives. Live for the love and the cause in your own way and let others chase their lives away.
