CH: The Chance That Dust Settles
Snippet: It made as much sense as it didn’t—chance—the chance to get out of the situation they were both in. All he needed was a reckless…illogical…chance…

Chapter Title: If Only (I Could Never)———WC: 2,116
Snippet: “Her one-handed grip on the photo—on Cheng Xiaoshi’s photo—was tight enough to crumple it completely. She couldn't find the middle ground to recollect herself, to think…why had he thought that, where was he…what was going on—of course, in general, but of all things— with him!?

Summary:
Xia Fei finds himself having quite possibly the worst day of his life (thus far) after deciding to try out what could be his next big break-- modeling. He's under the impression that it simply isn't his thing after his coworkers attempt to murder him on his first day, but a certain sharp-grinned red head had other plans for him.
There’s extremely—extremely—light angst, and for now it’s a one shot. (though, if anyone would like a short pt2 I’m not against writing one :)

A03/ Tumblr Bots
Writers on Ao3, and anyone else who has any sort of scam bot message-thingy bothering them, please don’t worry. Bots won’t distinguish a small author from a more established one, they’ll ‘comment’ anyway. Some signs of bots, both on Ao3 and tumblr are:
Bots asking for process posts of your writing
Bots that accuse or suspect you for using AI and asking for the above (primarily guests on Ao3 or PFP-less accounts on tumblr)
Bots and unnamed users who want to reach out and talk with you
Bots who want to connect further or be messaged after loving your fan work —(Do note that real people can do this, and shouldn’t be bothering you, so if such a thing has happened, don’t be afraid to report or block them.)
This is purely to name a few, but I was off put by scam comments in my writing and genuinely feared I might sound like an AI to people. To anyone else who can’t tell if it’s a hateful user or a hate bot, I hope the small list helps reassure you that what’s often critical of your fan work may not be human at all.

Chapter snippet:
The idea triggered the memory of a time that felt like years ago, though it couldn’t have been more than a month or so before this. When both Lu Guang and Qiao Ling assured him that whatever issue was plaguing them was in no way related to him…
For every reason right now, he was led to believe they were liars.

Link Click S3 Theory(?)
The “do we know eachother” line= after first dive EVER
Say Lu Guang lives through the WHOLE first dive and then, on his death node, Cheng Xiaoshi dies.
Following this, Lu Guang gains his power and—for the first time—dives back to the pre-Bridon point.
Pre-Bridon= What Lu Guang believes to be the ‘Trigger Point’
(The one Liu Xiao talks about in the S3 PV speech)
At the same time, Shao Yuan Yuan has also tried to alter the past, AKA, her trigger point—Some time before Cheng Weimin’s death.
Now, back in context of Liu Xiao’s speech, the one about how a person who is trying to control the butterfly effect believes that puppeteering the flap of its wings can allow them complete control, both Shao Yuan Yuan and Lu Guang are in the wrong.
Shao Yuan Yuan thinks the point of change is before Cheng Weimin’s death. For the sake of this theory—when Cheng Xiaoshi is still a VERY young child.
Lu Guang canonically believes the point of change is the
pre-Bridon basketball court.
Now, back to the theory. Say, Lu Guang has no knowledge of dives, or at least not to the extent he does now. This could mean that maybe he isn’t aware of rewriting the past. To take this further, he STILL doesn’t (and at the time of his second dive most DEFINITELY doesn’t) know that Shao Yuan Yuan is also time traveling.
Perhaps she knows about Lu Guang’s powers, and could think that they’re a catalyst of some sort in this bigger issue.
SO, when she goes back, she prevents Cheng Xiaoshi from meeting young Lu Guang.
Lu Guang, with no knowledge of this, goes back to a pre-Bridon photo, and Shao Yuan Yuan goes further back to the past. NOW, 2nd dive Cheng Xiaoshi has never met Lu Guang, making the “have we met before” make a semblance of sense.
Btw, Liu Xiao has no place in this theory because I can’t even begin to pretend to know what he’s doing talking with Cheng Xiaoshi’s mother as a child. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk

Chapter Summary: Lu Guang is utterly helpless in a situation where he not only has no control over, but no knowledge of. And of every time to ever be alone, God has chosen his to be now.

(ANAKT_idea on Ao3)
SUMMARY: Lu Guang was growing exhausted of this cycle. Dive after dive after dive, it seemed that no matter what route he took…what he sacrificed, avoided, or outright ignored never saved Cheng Xiaoshi’s life. And every time he said it was this last, he still moved his hands together at a “final” ditch attempt. Thus far, everything was working, up until Officer Xiao came from the supernatural crime department with a case so horrific Lu Guang took extremes to do it alone. He wasn't about to fail this time. But perhaps the timeline had other plans. He knew it was imperative that he survive past September 13th to be able to know if Cheng Xiaoshi lived too–if he was there. So who was to tell him that this case would be the catalyst that sent everyone into hysterics?

My dumb headcanon is that the reason Sua and Ivan had a similar style to each eachother (more so and especially when Ivan was younger) was because Unsha, who knows hardly anything about the human entertainment industry besides from what he hears from Urak, saw already established influencer Nigeh and all her humans that she makes look the same and went, "Well, that must be how it's done."
