uhhh okay it's time for angry takes but i hate how society treats vaginal variations that make intercourse difficult or impossible. like the whole talks are always about how to stretch vagina to make intercourse possible/easier and uhh
i know for some people it may be important, even crucial
but like
there is no single word how it's okay to just not have intercourse. how it's possible to do nothing with vagina. (implying that there is some kind of opening that allows menstrual discharge leave the uterus. because if menstrual discharge can't leave the body, it can cause inflammation, endometriosis, pain, and other problems. but there also is the problem that the only suggested solution is "create/stretch the opening" and never "would you like to have menstruations?").
i'm angry. every resourse mentions dilation and pelvic exercises, and most of them never mention that it's ok to just leave it be if you're not interested in intercourse.
maybe i understate the value of intercourse for average person because i'm asexual and was never interested in it and generally don't like when someone interacts with my genitals but like. really? not even mention? not even slightly?
and even in progressive spaces, in feminist resources that are all for non-conformant sexual practices and queerness, the most we can get is one paragraph from a long material that basically says "but you can don't do it if you don't like intercourse!" and i'm glad that they put it there and acknowledge this possibility, but i want more? i want more visibility. i want more talks about how it's ok to have vagina and not use it. how people don't owe their genitals to each other. how there are sexual practices that don't include intercourse. how it's okay to not have sex at all. how it's okay to have sex and not use genitals in it. how lack of intercourse ≠ failed sexual life.
idk maybe it sounds too picky but it feels like the world is extremely entitled to vaginas and can't comprehend that vaginas can exist not for fucking purposes.

Hey everyone, we made a post over on our fandom account and figured we'd also mention it here--
[click through to the post]
Our 16yo boy has only a tiny % function left in his kidneys, and isn't doing well. I don't think I need to go into details about where it's heading. On top of that, someone dumped a pregnant 8mo-1yo cat off on our doorstep and the shelters are full up, so we've taken her in at least to foster, but she also needs help.
So far we've racked up $350 in expenses with more to come. We've opened up writing commissions for the first time in a while! The link above tells you what we're willing to write and pricing.
Thank you for looking/sharing!

I can’t put into words how dispiriting it is to watch all these plus size idols, celebrities, drag queens thin. The body positive movement wasn’t perfect, but we had made some progress. I watched Lizzo dance and flute in front of me and near cried. Watched mid-fat girls flourish in their new comfortable bodies now that they could breathe. Watched plus-size drag queens show they too could be sexy and not just a joke.
But Ozempic and weight loss drugs have snatched people up one by one. For every one there’s some reason it’s justified (oh, they did the work, oh but they might be pre diabetic, oh well they might need it though). Or there’s a celeb who lies about not taking it then admits they have.
And for every one of those, there’s a kid or woman watching who thinks it’s just supposed to be that easy to lose weight. Who thinks there’s something wrong with her if she can’t shed her body.
It’s the understudied weight loss drug of our generation, no different from the pills of before. In 20, 30 years we’ll be talking about all the side effects or failures and it will be a shame.
But that won’t come before a generation of young girls, boys, kids have to endure the big back jokes and Ozempic commercials and the internalization of the idea that skinny is healthy and skinny is what we should be and skinny is what is natural, and all big-boned and bodied girls could be skinny and happier and somehow better tomorrow if they just had the money and the prescription.
Anyway, go read some Aubrey Gordon and Kate Manne, please please please. Educate yourselves about fatness & fatphobia and be kind to yourselves and each other.

Ok, loves, so we've all got the message that joking about suicide is bad for your mental health. Now we need to get on "joking that the planet/all of humanity has no future is bad for societal health/encouraging resistance to bad shit."

This is going to be hard for a lot of people to hear but if you want to make your spaces safer for disabled people, then you need to stop assuming malice from every poorly worded post.
A lot of neurodivergencies and disabilities cause people to ramble, lose their train of thought very easily, go on tangents, have disordered thinking, etc. We can get words and names mixed up very easily, lose words entirely, struggle to put our thoughts into actual words that make sense to people, and lose track of conversations. Whether it's from ADHD, psychosis, brain fog, brain damage, or any other condition, thinking and verbalizing ourselves can be really fucking hard.
This isn't malicious. We aren't doing it on purpose to hurt or upset people, and we aren't ignorant about the topic just because we get mixed up. We deserve to have voices, even if we don't always make sense to other people.
