The deadline to sign up is November 5th, exactly one week from today. Your Match will be assigned to you on the 7th November, and your posting deadline will be the 20th December!

Thanks so much for your answer (It was great), and sorry if you thought I was attacking you or putting you down, what I wrote was clumsily worded. The last sentence was meant to sound playful or silly, but reading back, I now realize I sounded like a passive-aggressive jerk. I love your stories! Bring on the angst! :)

I also don't mean to come off as rude in my answers, I think tone is really hard to sense over a screen! On both sides too; so no harm done 💕 Honestly I just have a tendency to ramble unnecessarily (especially about the boosh boys they just bring it out in me, amiright?) regardless of the ask, so don't worry at all, it was mostly just me spilling my words all over the screen!

We can all enjoy the angst, and the non-angst together! Thank you for sending me asks, I love being able to interact with people 💕

Part 1: Just wanted to thank you so much for sharing the gifs of Julian on the film podcast (aargh! messy hair and glasses!!!! so thirsty), and how much I enjoyed listening to him speak. His unpretentious film choices and obvious love of cinema were an absolute joy to witness.

Part 2: Also loved the easy and casual way he discussed his physical attraction to both women and men (and who knew he was into Channing Tatum and Patrick Swayze???!). Can this mark the end of Noelian RPF where Julian is all conflicted and angsty about being attracted to Noel, or has never entertained such feelings until he met Noel?

Hello! Firstly, you're absolutely welcome for the gifs. He was such a messy-haired beauty I couldn't not share some snippet. That whole podcast is a personal favourite of mine as well, I have listened to it a few times over. His creamy northern voice is like being wrapped in a warm blanket.

About the fic, I can't really say. I think what people write into fic is often their own preference, it's the kind of content they want to create, that they want to see. A lot of writers will write as an escape from reality or they may even write to explore things that they can't in any other setting. They definitely write for fun, and as long as they enjoy themselves and aren't hurting anyone in the process then whatever people want to make is fine!

Personally I like angst, I write a lot of it. There's a lot of reasons why I like angst that I won't get into, but mostly it has to do with me enjoying the happy ending that comes from a little bit of sadness first. I use a lot of different plot points (including the mentioned above) to explore that angst, and delve into things I may have experienced and gone through by writing it out. Someone once told me that fanfiction was cheap therapy, and it's a little true!

In the end I think it's important to remember that RPF stands for real people fiction--and it is just that, fiction; meaning it doesn't have to always follow exact parralells of reality. Being able to play with reality is half the fun of fiction in the first place, so whether people decide to continue using the angsty plot-point of a conflicted Julian is entirely down to each individual creator and what kind of story they want to tell! I totally get that not everyone will want to read every type of fic, so of course, if that isn't your thing Nonny, then theres no obligation at all for you to read it. Different types of fic will make different people happy! We can only wait and see what our lovely talented Booshlr creators come up with in the future, and if you like it, support it!
