It turned 4 years old recently. So I think I'm just gonna say it's done. Andy's brain isn't coming back to "finish" this one, whatever that looks like. Maybe if I ever return to the concept, I'll redo them. But anyways, have prison boys.

Dunmeri bathing habits

Since dunmer have such a strong natural resistance to fire, I think it's more than logical to assume that their bathing habits also include things with lots of heat in them, I imagine Morrowind already has its fair share of luxurious aswell as common bathhouses so why not add some other things into the mix?

keep in mind that these are just headcanons, even if I've written these to read as facts.

Firstly, a little bit about my general headcanons relating to the dunmer, they have a much higher body temperature compared to the other races, and dunmer feel warm, sometimes even scolding hot to the touch.

Comes in handy it you're living in the most northern parts of Morrowind, but because of this their bathhouses aren't made for many outsiders to handle because of the temperature of the water.

Now comes the time for me to insert a part of my own culture to the dunmer, saunas!!

Since dunmer have such high body heat, the heat of the sauna is very soothing and balancing to their internal heat, socializing is also commonplace in them, some Great Houses even having their own dedicated saunas for House members only.

But an important thing here is that commoners in Morrowind would also frequent the saunas aswell as the bathhouses, many of them existing in the same building, and are open to anybody.

I love thinking about the small things in regards to merethic behaviour and culture, this was also a fun little drawing excercise for me since I don't often draw perspectives or structures :D

Wait what makes Daggerfall so fucked up? Never played it

OH BOY. So, it's intentionally left slightly ambiguous, but I'd argue the Agent (i mistakenly called them the Eternal Champion in my post - that's the Arena MC) is the only PC in the series where it's HEAVILY implied that they straight up Forreal Die at the end of the MQ. Not only that, they presumably die HORRIFICALLY, because the Warp in the West -an event they directly cause - is one of the most fascinating and gruesome things in TES canon (in my opinion). Here's an account of a Blades agent who WASN'T directly in the middle of it:

I'd argue that in terms of "Uriel Septim screwing you over big time", they easily beat the Nerevarine and the HoK. Because by all accounts they were implied to be completely loyal to him. THE Blade he trusted most, perhaps. There's something specifically tragic to me about that kind of betrayal. Especially because it did end up benefiting the Empire.

TLDR: Uriel's most special little snowflake was sent on a mission that turned into taking control of fucking Numidium - the dwemer god-machine that has broken reality at least two (maybe three) times in order for the Empire to take control of the entire Illiac bay region. Another quote from UESP:

On the 9th of Frostfall, there were forty-four city-states in the Iliac Bay; on the 11th, after a number of mysterious cataclysms and anomalies, there were only four—Sentinel, Wayrest, Daggerfall, and Orsinium—all swearing loyalty to the Emperor.

The Blades were unable to contact the Agent after the event and they're never heard from or seen again. The amount of death and destruction this caused is uncountable. Even better that the last line of dialogue spoken to them in the game is "Not so fast . Don't you want to see the result of your handiwork?" Like what a gut punch. Wtf.

I think Tharn probably has some level of musical talent but you’d never know because he never brings it up unless it’s to insult someone else in an “I could do better than that” way

Probably good at the piano. Which could maybe be considered slightly anachronistic but TES isn’t based on any specific real time period, it’s fantasy. So I think pianos totally could exist in a full capacity.

It would be the same vibe as Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time ominously sitting at the top of his tower playing the organ waiting for Link to show up lmfao

They’re all squares for ease of crossposting to IG.

But yes I was admiring all of that Dragon Ball artwork where the characters are just standing there menacingly on a white background. And I thought, I want to draw something that could be a comic cover for the Five Companions. And this was born out of that. So a slightly unexpected origin but inspiration comes from strange places.

Their designs are mostly based on their concept art iterations so if there’s a few differences that’s why, along with a few creative liberties of my own (like sheathes for the swords, etc).

PS Iveri does have her weapons like everyone else, they’re just out of frame. She wouldn’t be caught dead unarmed.
