There’s no presence on my phone

But the choice is up to us

To pick a path that follows trust

I need to go around and teach myself about the world

And slowly unlearn a lot that I’ve been told

I wish it could go smoothly,

I wish I could comprehend the plight

But hey we have a sunset

to undo all of the fights

I wish we could have our dreams in life

But sadness is the enemy of might

We know it’s imagination that drives despair

Its our fascination for the world out there

Because I know that my future is determined by my fear

For the honest and the low

Is when all comes to pass

Decisions to be made

I know my life goes on

But I’m afraid

I’ve seen these pieces before

A million times or more

But that doesn’t mean I don’t come back

Like a whirlwind that sways in the rain

I try to numb the feelings so profane
