"Emergency warning",
Tumblr media
A black and white image of the national emblem of Indonesia popularly used by Indonesians to protest the current government under president Prabowo.
My fellow Indonesians are protesting on the streets in response to the incredibly unreasonable and corrupt laws that the government have put in place/are about to put in place.
We acknowledge this as Indonesia Gelap, or Dark Indonesia
Tumblr media
Budget cuts to incredibly important sectors such education, health, public infrastructure and transportation threaten the country, all to fund the incredibly inneficient "free nutritious meal program"/Makan Bergizi Gratis the president promised, as well as potentially serve as a front for further corruption.
As a student myself, I witnessed my campus' library having to shut down some of their services, cutting off accessibility for resources and information because of the budget cuts.
Below is a snippet of their budget plans for 2026
Tumblr media
A worrying point from this slide is that they have put education (pendidikan) and health (kesehatan) as secondary (pendukung) priorities, below Defense Forces (Pertahanan Keamanan) which includes police and the military. The police in Indonesia are notorious for corruption and brutality, with protests to defund the police not being uncommon. The military is also wildly criticized for terrorizing indigenous groups and commiting acts of brutality, so to continue putting them above education is a heavy point of criticism.
Another worrisome event that happened recently : censorship of criticisms and art.
Tumblr media
Recently a song called "Bayar, bayar, bayar" (Pay, pay, pay) made by a masked band called Sukatani was taken down. The song criticized police corruption, and how you could get away with anything if you just pay enough money.
Sukatani was forcibly made to take off their masks, reveal their identities, and make an "apology" for the song. One of the members was an educator. One of the very people affected by budget cuts on education as well as the people affected by unfair wages (which had been a massive point of protest in the prior weeks too)
This disturbingly mirrors a time where Indonesia was under the dictatorship of Suharto in 1960-1998, called "Orde Baru" or "New Order". It was here that criticism of the government as well as art was heavily censored and monitored, as well as when Indonesia took on a militaristic approach to the government.
There has been whispers of worries, in regards to current president Prabowo who came from a military background as well as found to be involved in the military who kidnapped activists in 1998...
"Indonesia gelap" has been a long time coming. It's been going on for years as political corruption ran rampant, the current president and vice president got to where they are now by wrecking the constitution, and now they are wrecking the country for their own benefit.
My fellow students and citizens protesting the streets, I pray for you and wish for the best. Although I can't attend right now, I hope I can amplify your voices in what ever way I can. I hope you know that there are so many cheering for you and think of you as heroes for fronting the fight on the streets.

This has nothing to do with my blog content, but I want to spread the word as widely as possible. Currently, there are massive student protests throughout Indonesia demanding that the government stop its unreasonable policies.
In Indonesia itself, this protest was not covered or only briefly covered by selected media. This protest was represented by the hashtag #IndonesiaGelap or #DarkIndonesia. Before this tag, the tag #KaburDuluAja or #JustRunAwayFirst had been circulating, indicating that many people felt they had no future in this country, thus leading them to tell people to move or work outside Indonesia.
There are many reasons for this protest, one of which is the policy of budget efficiency. It sounds good, but this is contrary to the fat cabinet carried by the current government (there are more than 100 ministers and ministerial equivalents), instead of cutting the number of cabinets, they cut costs for witness protection, health, education, and others.
For more explanation, please google Indonesia Gelap or Dark Indonesia. Some of the international news has covered the story. We need as much as support as possible! Thank you for reading

Never sure how to bring this up to my mainly international audience as a mainly fandom art account, but the situation in my country has been very dire and bringing it up directly might help, so I will talk about it:
Students across Indonesia are taking it directly to the streets to protest a massive budget cut by our Ministry of Finance that has laid off tens of thousands of educators and may later on cancel student scholarships and tuition grants, rendering many students in fear of no longer being able to access higher education.
Under this government led by a perpetrator of human rights violations, state media has been constantly censored and unreliable, and we need your help to bring this into international attention, as the Indonesian government only ever listen to criticism when their constant fuck-ups are put on blast on social media.

I asked my Twitter; "5 likes, and I'll draw Duncan bombing DPR (Indonesian parliament) building /hj."
Tumblr media
Spread this! On March 20, 2025, the Indonesian Parliament passed amendments to the military law, allowing active-duty officers to hold civilian positions without resigning. This has raised concerns over potential democratic backsliding.
Mass protests have erupted nationwide, including in Malang. On March 23 , security forces used excessive force against demonstrators, including medical personnel and women, violating human rights and democratic principles.
Press freedom is also under threat. The offices of Tempo magazine, known for its critical reporting, were targeted with intimidation. On March 22, they received a severed pig's head, followed by a decapitated rat on March 23, raising serious concerns about press safety.
On March 25, the police hijacked an ambulance with 7 female university student, 5 people who is in critical condition and in need medical help, and 2 medical staff. The police threatened the medical staff to drive to the police office rather than hospital.
On March 27, in Lamongan, protesters arrested by the police were forced to provide fingerprints and have their photos taken, which constitutes an arbitrary act. This also potentially violates the right to privacy and personal data protection.

Indonesian college student just got arrested for making *check notes* an AI image of the president kissing his ally, Jokowi.
do you want to know what’s funny? the current president of Indonesia was USING AI for his campaign. making shit tons of AI for his campaign and I do remember one of his minion was making AI video of his clusterfuck of a program.
do you see the irony? people were raving about the usage of AI in the campaign, calling them out, screaming about the ethics behind it. And now, they are mad.
(I heard the one that reported the college student wasn’t even the individuals on the photo, but I could be wrong).
hey! another funny thing! she was doxxed! DOX, by the gov’t bootlickers! and now those doxxers are actively doxxing college students that were participating in the Mayday protest and those who went against the government.

Who is missing from this picture?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who next will be missing?
Free her! Bebaskan keluarga kami! (Free our family!)
Indonesia is headed back to a repressive era, where criticisms and satire of the government warrants arrest.
A tldr of the situation: An art student generated a picture of President Prabowo and ex-president Jokowi kissing using AI and was detained by the police months later. This is an act of repressing criticism by the government.
The art student was trying to criticize the government's increasingly disturbing ways of dealing with criticism AND the lack of regulations surrounding the use of generative AI in Indonesia, considering Vice President Gibran advocates for its usage heavily without any disclaimers.
When Indonesians use generative AI to generate explicit content of multiple unconsenting participants, the government does little to nothing. But the moment a student uses it to criticize the government, then it becomes a problem that warrants up to 12 years in prison.

In Indonesia, some people are planning to raise the Strawhat flag on Independence Day instead of the national flag, as a way to express disillusionment with the government.
Now politicians are panicking, claiming it’s a threat to national unity. Because an anime pirate flag is becoming a symbol of protest.
Honestly? I found it funny, heartwarming, worrying that the Government is censuring. All the feelings.
This is why I always say One Piece is political (here is my rant post on that !). The Strawhats stand for freedom and defiance. It’s no surprise people are connecting with that.

Hello OP Tumblr society, I'd like to bring some light to what is happening here in Indonesia.
Tumblr media
2/8/2025
Just a few hours ago the government of Indonesia considered raising The Strawhat jolly roger as a punishable crime, nearing our country's independence day. As context, people have been using the jolly roger as a symbol of dissatisfaction to the country's injustice. We've been raising this flag in protests and lately, as our Independence day tradition, people have been putting up the jolly roger in place of our national flag. The government sees this as a form of rebellion and the people trying to erase the influence of "Merah Putih", our red and white national flag and have considered wanting to take legal actions against the people who raised the jolly roger.
The people of the local community have started to use a modified version of the jolly roger that used our 80th independence anniversary logo as a form of sarcasm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is a video proofing the locals have been using the flag to express our dissatisfaction towards the government
I will also link several tweets made by trusted local news anchor, tweets in english that explained the whole situation, and a tweet from Pew, a well known One Piece account in the One Piece Twitter.
Tweet from Tempo, a local news anchor (in Indonesian) :

Tweet and news from Kompas, a local news anchor (in Indonesian) :

A thread by Lembaga Baku Hantam, a local community explaining the situation in English:

Thank you very much for reading, I encourage people to also inform themselves more with this news as I am not invincible to propaganda and false news.

I'm really bored and I want to talk about the KPDH x MXTX AU so...I'm going to talk about the AU. I mean, what else would I do in this situation lmfao. "I'm going to torment myself by not talking about it"? NO. KPDH X MXTX AU!!!! Okay so I have no idea what I was talking about last time but I want to talk about the other Mogui Boys. I know if I get into That One first, we won't hear about Mobei-Jun, so we're going to start off with him! Mobei-Jun is a demon, the only one who was actually borne to a demon and was raised as a demon - a noble one, at that - so he does not really care about humans or what they have to offer. Yes, he knows what cultivators are and why he should avoid them, but he doesn't need to concern himself with that when he does not leave the demon realm. He has no reason to, not after being lured out by his bastard of an uncle as a child and almost died were it not for a young boy with brown curls finding him curled up beneath a patch of green plants and going "uh oh, you're not supposed to be here." Next thing he knew, he had been led back to a tear in the Honmoon with the little boy saying "this stays between us, kay? Gege would kill me if he found out!" Mobei-Jun has always hoped that that boy's gege had not killed him, for that would be a worrying blood-debt to have to uphold. He's already bound by another debt that he still hasn't considered fulfilled.
After all, after he found himself stumbling back into the demon realm, a far too human boy found him moodily stomping around because he knew where he was, he just didn't know how to get back to his home!! Luo Binghe was easily swayed into helping him in exchange for his silence, and Mobei-Jun wasn't going to go around telling people that he had found the forgotten heir to the Demon Realm, so they made it work. Demons did not have 'friends', but humans did and, due to Luo Binghe being half-human, he proclaimed them to be friends after Mobei-Jun snuck back out to see him mere days after he had gotten back to his home. It was far too easy to slip out from the servants' watchful eyes, and Mobei-Jun had to ensure that Luo Binghe hadn't died before he could fulfil his debt to him by giving him food. Humans of any kind were far too easily attached, if anyone were to ask him. All this time later, Luo Binghe is finally calling in that life debt, and it requires him to sing and dance. Yes...that humiliation is surely more than enough to fulfil a debt, perhaps Luo Binghe is more demon than human after all.
I know I should talk about how the others react to him, but that can be done later. Right now, I'm talking about That One. He Xuan. BARK BARK BARK etc etc, let's GOOO. This takes place like six hundred years before the main timeline of events, back when people still believed in demons and cultivators, before they were worshipped as gods. He Sheng was always meant to be a cultivator. He was selected from a very young age due to the way qi seemed to naturally swirl around inside him, taken from his family with the promise that he would be taken to visit every month or so until he could go back and forth of his own accord. It's easier for him than others to get the hang of singing, and fighting, but he never makes a big deal out of it, always helping those who ask or need it. He's like a favourite of the sect he's been taken into, and it's easy for everyone to like him when he's rather humble about it all. However, nobody really likes him more than Shi Qingxuan - she and her brother joined the sect under mysterious circumstances, and yet they seemed to fit in quite well nonetheless - because she clung to him from the first moment they met.
Unlike Shi Wudu, who was quick to catch up to others his age in terms of cultivation, Shi Qingxuan struggled a little more with it. He Sheng tried to help her along the best he could, but she didn't seem to worry about it too much, and so he didn't either! They were close to one another, and he felt seen enough to tell her about his frequent-as-can-be visits to his family when he wouldn't tell anyone else about it, and she whispered to him that she was a boy, but she didn't mind being a girl. That she was cursed by a demon, one that fed on her fears and caused constant misfortune. He promised that he liked her anyway, and that he wouldn't let the demon hurt her if it came looking for her, and she promised that she'd go with him to meet his family one day, and that she'd teach his sister how to braid because he wasn't that good at it. While she and He Sheng grew and bonded together, Shi Wudu worried about his meimei's cultivation. If she didn't manage to grow her cultivation enough, she wouldn't be able to become a proper demon hunter, and then eventually ascend with him, meaning she would be at the mercy of the demon that had cursed her.
When a voice came whispering in his mind, promising that it could help him ensure his sister's safety, he did not hesitate. He followed its every command, because it said that it was the best for everyone involved. Even as he performed the fate switching ritual between He Sheng and his meimei, it was because the voice whispered that He Sheng wasn't cut out for demon hunting anyway, that he would be better off with his family instead. Suddenly, Shi Qingxuan was getting very good at cultivating. Suddenly, He Sheng's family was falling into dire straits, and it got to the point where he left the sect so he could be with them and help out as much as possible. Shi Qingxuan was miserable, but Shi Wudu decided that it was just for the best. Meanwhile, things start rapidly going downhill in He Sheng's life. His family's business began failing, and what happened next is much like canon. His meimei was murdered and he was blamed for it, spending two years starving in prison before he was set free, to find his mama dead. The sect refused to talk to someone seen as a criminal, and Shi Wudu wouldn't let Shi Qingxuan reach out, because the voice told him that He Xuan did this to himself.
Things got worse. His mother died, and all businesses he started were sabotaged by rivals. Whisperings started up in his mind, telling him that he was useless and that his efforts were all for nought. Patterns began to etch themselves into his skin, every bit of self-hatred coalescing into hatred for the world. Everything was brought to a boiling point the night his baba died. Nobody could help him bury the body, not after he had been so scorned by some cultivators drinking in the establishment he went to ask for help in. He dug the grave himself, whispering becoming louder until he was struggling to hear himself think. The voices called him a monster, a demon, so why should he not be a monster, a demon? That night, he grabbed the first weapon he saw and went into the village, slaughtering everyone who had ever wronged him as he made his way through. We all know how this story ends, with a mere man succumbing to his exhaustion and injuries, resentment screaming out in his soul as he fell into the water below, as it opened its clutches to greet him like an old friend. The demon realm gained another citizen, but he went with a violent rage, a hunger so desperate that other demons avoided his territory. Until one demon didn't.

Okay I've also got asks to answer but I've got work experience this week so my available schedule is fucked up and posting time is cut down a lot. So if you have sent me an ask recently (or decide to send me an ask during the week), it WILL be answered I promise, just mayhaps not right away. With that out of the way, MORE KPDH x MXTX AU!
I know I said I was going to focus on wangxian but I've been gripped with the need to give you a whistle stop tour of Shen Yuan (+ Shang Qinghua's) and Xie Lian's backstories! Starting with Shen Yuan; so, obviously, he's from the Cang Qiong Mountain Sect, and he was raised there from a young age - some children are raised in the sect, others are found. However, he wasn't the one that caught the interest of the scouts of CQMS - that would be his twin brother, Shen Jiu. Yes yes, there's messy messy qijiu to be found in here somewhere, but we have NO TIME for it. Shen Jiu refused to go anywhere without his twin brother, who was dealing with a severe illness, and the scout was like "uuggghhh, there's no time to argue" because there was a deficit of gifted children hanging around on the streets. So, Shen Yuan and Shen Jiu went along to CQMS, and Shen Jiu began his training while Shen Yuan was put through rigorous treatments designed to make him better; these treatments required a level of cultivation, so he was also trained in cultivation (a more gentle version that wouldn't affect his delicate health).
Shen Jiu was only cultivating for his didi's sake, and he was only staying for his didi's sake, because didi was loving learning about the different kinds of demons, and he had made a friend too. However, Shen Yuan eventually found out that Shen Jiu didn't really care about cultivating, and felt bad for gege because he was doing all of this for him! So, he proposed an idea to Shen Jiu. Teach him what he knew, and then Shen Yuan could take his place sometimes! Like a twin swap, y'see? Shen Jiu was reluctant at first, but he saw how excited Shen Yuan was about his idea (outside of researching and basically becoming the resident expert on demons) and caved to his didi's whims. So, they started swapping sometimes - of course, they had to learn each other's mannerisms n such to be able to pull it off, and there were a few people they couldn't fool (ones that would never tell on them), but they managed to pull it off pretty well aside from that. Something something, they were eventually found out, but instead of being mad, their mentor (previous Qing Jing peak lord) was pleased because they had two cultivators/experts for the price of one!
Shang Qinghua was Shen Yuan's friend right from the start. He had been sent over by a less-than-influential family that was in the know about demon hunters, along with his gege - I can't think of a name right now, but just know it's OG Shang Qinghua (OG for short lmfao). While his gege clawed his way through cultivation until he was somewhat respected and powerful despite their lower status in the sect, Shang Qinghua was much more interested in the management side of things. Leave him alone, no harsh missions where he almost died for him, pretty please! While his mentor didn't really care if Shang Qinghua didn't care, his gege certainly fucking did, and personally taught him because he knew all of his didi's tricks to try and escape learning about such things. This wasn't faaaaiiirrrr! He took solace in hiding in Shen Yuan's medical room at first, then later his actual room when they decided that he was alright enough to be free from the infirmary. Shen Yuan wanted a friend, Shang Qinghua was willing to be a friend, and when Shen Yuan was caught out for switching with Shen Jiu, Shang Qinghua was immediately shoved into the group by Gege, who really wanted him to get out more.
Xie Lian's story took place a long, long time ago. While not the original demon hunter, he was trained by one of them, alongside his closest companions, Feng Xin and Mu Qing. He was specially picked out as though by fate itself, chosen by the gods to become the next blessed warrior fighting against the demons, and he took his companions along with him. Mei Nianqing didn't really talk about his original group, only telling tales of the Demon Hunter of Wuyong, who had tried to push himself to save humanity only to break under the pressure and become Bai Wuxiang, the ruler of demons. Honestly, he definitely should have; maybe if they had known what had happened to the original demon hunter group, Xie Lian wouldn't have been so easily drawn in by another mentor. Jun Wu appeared in his dreams, offering him tips and tricks for his cultivation, ones that he shared to his friends with excitement - all the man in his dreams said was that he shouldn't tell Mei Nianqing about such things. Xie Lian was naïve, easy to manipulate because he just saw the best in everyone, unaware of the horrors that resided within the world; Mei Nianqing had failed him in that aspect, had failed he and his friends.
Xie Lian and his friends flourished under the guiding hands of Mei Nianqing (and, secretly, Jun Wu), which was why Mei Nianqing was so willing to let them face off against Bai Wuxiang when he ripped through the Honmoon. There was so much fighting, so many human lives lost and, in Xie Lian's dreams, Jun Wu urged him to excel quicker, to focus on his cultivation so he could 'properly protect humanity', but he wouldn't turn his back on them when they needed him the most. Unlike the Demon Hunter of Wuyong, he took time to save every single human from demons, even a young boy that everyone hailed as cursed and bound to the demons by fate. He didn't care what they all believed, he did not see the boy's future, he only saw the frightened little kid who needed protection from demons that wished to feast upon his 'tainted' soul. They managed to beat back Bai Wuxiang and reform the Honmoon, but that was not when it ended for Xie Lian. Rumours started echoing through the crowds, rumours that he sympathised with demons, and did not kill them if he did not see them as a threat. It's not like they were wrong, but people didn't like to hear such things about their protectors.
SO much more happens in this time, but I just need to quickly explain that I think the demon hunters could probably ascend (in this AU) due to the worship from the ordinary humans and with cultivation levels. To summarise what happens because there's so much I want to say and it's OVERWHELMING - Xie Lian's group breaks down because of these beliefs and, while one cannot be descended once they Ascend, Xie Lian's followers stopped believing in him and left him to rot through the centuries. Xie Lian goes through shit, almost becomes a demon but pulls himself back from the brink basically out of spite of Bai Wuxiang, going off the grid to hide from his friends and any other ascended gods. There is only one god that he befriends, and that's because this god (Shi Qingxuan) doesn't know who he is (his well-known name at the time was Dianxia), so there's no issue of his existence getting back to anyone else. Jun Wu occasionally appears in his dreams to try and ask where he is, but Xie Lian doesn't want to get him in trouble, so he doesn't ever tell him. Centuries pass, and he finds himself in a new boyband after helping a few demon hunters deal with a few vicious demons.

tgcf x kpdh crossover ideas I have nothing to say for myself
xianle trio as huntrix (XL - rumi, FX - zoey ((this one makes me laugh)) MQ - mira)
the calamities as the saja boys!! yes I know there’s only four of them but just imagine hua cheng as jinu. please. I have an entire free animatic in my head that I can’t make so *COUGH* if someone wants to feel free (pun unintended)
also spoilers for kdph ahead
imagine that like the xianle trio is a boy band and they’re the most popular. everyone knows them. then the calamity boys come along and they’re suddenly knocked from the top spot and white no face in particularly messing with xie lian behind the scenes. xianle trio basically breaks up after the tension gets too much and boom they all leave
THEN PLOT TWIST. hua cheng has been a day one xie lian stan and he feels so guilty that he’s the reason that his beloved’s life basically got ruined (he has no friends and no job) so he tries to fix it by talking to him and getting to know him. also him being a demon and xl being part demon is still the same to clarify
I will skip over my rants about all of the songs (for now) but for the last scene where jinu kinda merges with rumi’s sword what if…EMING…
anyway thanks for reading I guess my new favorite hobby is putting gay chinese immortal boys into random universes
