WEEK13 DESIGN DIRECTION + SEMI FINAL POSTER + MOCKUP
The decision on logo and name on my product with semi final design decision was made at this point.
1. Black tight suit with a zip up system
2. Casing for pulley and airbag system
3. Disguised look of spine corrector A.K.A external muscle
For the final product, as a design aspect, lift systems chamber should be more slim and slick look. And decided to make a wear on more relaxed fit wear; martial arts uniforms and fencing suit.
For camouflaged look, decided to use black jujitsu wear for a comfy way to wear; wrap up the body on the front.

WEEK12 CONCEPTS + MOCKUPS
Week 12 was a design development week before final presentation.
My concept was the backpack type VS the suit type.
At this point, the Design decision was toward of making the suit design.
The backpack was ineligible for spine correction. And it is only focused more on airbag workability. Pulley system on the back needs direction for pulling VS shortening.
For optimal result,
my design decision was made to suit and shortening pulley system.

Week 11 Presentation with Basic Mockup
Combining two directions (Posture correction + Fall proof air bag) is the key for this process.
Different design concepts in these directions on the right,
However, the design was too literally exposed and did not understand senior peoples’ user point.
Next week is about to fix the design to be disguised look.

Concept direction for 2050 Dear Better Life
Combining ideas for fall proof and posture correction is chosen for my project 2050.
Week 11 is for developing form language, CMF and more ideas for this direction.
It could be wearable device or clothing, but for the general use, wearable could be a better way for my concept.

WEEK 9 PRESENTATION
In 2050, super aged society have lack of young helpers compared to lots of elderly people. Companion helper robots supplement the care needs for elderly people. On the other hand, elderly owners simultaneously have responsibility to protect their robots from hacking and cybercrime due to the contradictions of evolved technology. 2050 will have issues with overpopulation and more elderly people. Conversely, with the great help of artificial intelligence and new living system, we will have better life.
My concept development for this week is focused on the this area, I assume the situation for elderly people, when they go out with robots or AI. Elderly people have problems in falling. They are getting to lose their balance and also be weaken on their senses : vision, sound. Their weaken bone structure can easily break down, so there is a lot of risk. Now more and more elderly people try to use scooter with sitting position rather than walk make worse their physical health and more sitting and laying environment can make them to have pressure sore on back and hip. For healthier elderly generation in 2050 is now try to walk more, if it is hard, they now use more helping gears to not fall, not losing balance but also give them to break for their daily go outs.
Robots can accompany with them, however, it is not necessary for all of them to bring big robot aside the user. Augmented reality or smart walking sticks can support them to walk generally. Facilitate their senses and make them to focus more on balances. Concept 1-5 and 7-9 are for those who tries to do active for their health.
My concepts 6 and 10 are for who carries their robot outside generally, tools for cleaning and physical protection on their foot is inevitable.
Concept 4 is hybrid. It helps user to stand still with good posture while they walk, but also for carrying tools and kits for emergency situation for their companion robots.
