redbritishsniper: (Come back!)
Tumblr media
i probably will revive this blog. I might as well spend my day doing that. However the theme I have right now is butt ugly and hard to navigate. I might go back to classic rp blogs and use a regular theme off of theme-hunter or smth since I’m in no way to code and design a new theme right now. I’ve also repurposed Amelia as a medic rather than a 10th class. So there’s that. The question is do I even keep my blog as Amelia or just make it as my actual Medic OC/self-insert. Since I do have this fun pastel medic I like to write about.

☤ ▉ ▏Scout || red-boston-batter:
【 Let's waste 'em!】
Tumblr media
A reputation ahead of himself, he was greeted by the newest member of the RED team. The youngest of all, just like at home, recognizing the Scout was an easy task; youth at it’s prime, a stubborn child in war, not recognizing him would’ve been uncommon- and truth be said, he would feel offended by that. He smiled at her, trying to give her a welcoming first impression of himself.            ❝ You presumed right, lady. Best Scout ‘round ‘ere. You must be, uhm… Amy, right? Miss Paulin’ talked ‘bout you a few days ago. Hope you’re likin’ the base. It’s honestly not goin’ to stay like this forevah’. Trust me, it gets worse.  ❞
A slight quirk of her eyebrow, Amelia was quite anal about her name. Amy was the name called upon her back in her youth. Something she desperately tried to forget about. A tight lipped frown to reflect her mood, the woman stared down at the younger man. She was quite professional, at least to any standards of the base. A woman plopped out of prison to fulfill an open role, she didn’t quite care as long as we wasn’t rotting. What made it all the better was she got to do what she did best: Completely disregard medical formalities in exchange for experimentation.
Tumblr media
❝ Amelia, thank you very much. I suppose the base isn’t bad, but if it’s just going to get far worse from here on out, I should’t hold very high expectations. Frankly you’re one of the first members of the team I’ve gotten a chance to talk to in the last couple of days. Honestly, it’s like I’m surrounded by a bunch of scared raccoons. ❞

Tumblr media
❝ I’d think I’d know the behavior of my pets more than you, but I suppose so. While I’m not much for socializing like my pets, if you have any more business to lay down or discuss I’d like to get the formalities out of the way so I can start actually doing my job. ❞

☤ ▉ ▏Medic and Co. || rev-and-medic:
Medic noticed how they acted like hiding from Amelia, he raised an eyebrow at that.
[Funny, zhey look scared] he chuckled but gave the other a subtle look.
Tumblr media
❝ Technically speaking they are. Again, tarantulas and snakes are predatory creatures that are either slowly domesticated from the wild or in this case, not. They still hold onto that programmed instinct that humans cannot be trusted. But in this case, this isn’t an act of being scared. If anything, Alula’s bored or hungry and Penelope really hates sunlight and prefers darker atmospheres. Which is why she’s hiding under her log. She’ll come out for food but that’s it. Lately they’ve been incredibly upset because I keep coaxing them into expelling venom into vials. I suppose they want two mice for it instead of one now. ❞
She spoke with utmost confidence because what she knew was true. She wasn’t a professional arachnids or reptilian handler but she did know this behavior was somewhat common amongst species same and similar.
Tumblr media
❝ They’re those type of pets that you look at, but don’t touch. Handling tarantulas can easily startle them, and with my snake, even more so. They just hate being around people really. If anything they’re probably unsure of your presence right now. ❞

☤ ▉ ▏Patient || tfcsniper:
He continued to smile on as he listened to her talk about curiosity, gaze steadfast on her. He had faced sneakier Spies than her trying to pry information out of him.
“Mm, it sure is a childish emotion. But you, Miss, are not a child, are you? Surely you are in control of your emotions?”
The old Sniper lifted his bony shoulders in a shrug. “Not particularly.” He has been to enough doctors in his life. She had nothing new to say to him. The best thing to do was not die before an appointment.
“Guess I’ll be seeing you on Tuesday then.”
Her eyes narrowed slightly at the other’s comment. Smart. She’ll give him that. But Amelia always gets what she wants in the end, and if she wanted answers. She’ll get answers. But how. It was true she wasn’t as cunning and slippery as a Spy but she still had her own tricks up her sleeve. How did anyone think she managed to convince her team she cared?
Amelia Swansea never cared for her fellow members of the RED team. She took that job for two reasons, to get out of prison and to have an uninterrupted canvas of bodies to experiment on. Now with that dream gone, she’s stuck having to swindle others for that high.
Tumblr media
❝ I’ll see you then, I suppose. Be careful on your way out though, I heard there’s hired mercenaries walking around town lately... You haven’t heard of it, have you? ❞
She made it seem like an innocent enough question. Her acting was at least the most convincing thing about her after all. With feigned concern for the other’s well being in response to these ‘mercs’ she’s heard of, she wondered if it’ll expose something about him.

He smiled at her, not an evil grin but a true smile. [Is good to hear zhat. Maybe zhey vill be more friendly in zhe future… Everybody needs zheir time to open up, even pets]
Tumblr media
❝ Honestly I highly doubt I’ll be able to tame a first generation African Bush Viper, but if I attempt to breed her? Who knows. Perhaps I can start a new strain of snakes and sell the babies for cash to add to my medical fund. Or I can just have billions of highly venomous, if not one of the most venomous snakes roaming around base. God knows there’s already a bunch of rattlesnakes around here. ❞
The woman sighed but she went up to stand by the man, observing her beloved pets.
The snake merely hid under a piece of tree bark Amelia but in it’s terrarium and the spider was sort of huddled in a corner.

☤ ▉ ▏Medic || nomedicalicense:
He began cutting a small line with the scalpel on the neck of his patient, not bothering to pull the mask off. It was going to help him identify which head was which. He spared no time when injecting the crimson liquid from the syringe into the now bleeding wound. He put the now empty syringe in his mouth to hold, a habit he had not noticed he did.
He picked up the bonesaw, the thought of being careful not crossing his mind as he separated Spy’s head from his body. He quickly placed his head on the metal device, pressing a button to give him life. It didn’t wake the spy up; he had passed out by now. His counterpart had shut his eyes, not wanting to watch what had happened to himself.
Medic picked up the medi gun once more to use it on the now headless body of the spy. And that was it. Simple yet effective. All he had to do now was wait for the right time. It was nothing, really. Of course a man like him could do something like this. To him, this was as easy as reciting the alphabet.
The BLU Spy head had tried to jump off the metal cart in hopes of succeeding however his plan was soon foiled when Medic had caught him last second by the ear. He placed the head back on the cart, patting it as if he were a child.
Amelia’s interest at first drew to the red liquid in the syringe. After all injections were kind of her specialty. Though that pique was shortly lived as her attention was again drawn to the scalpel among the other’s neck. My, getting right into the thick of it. She appreciated his manner of not wasting time, something she too could relate. Wasted time is just wasted opportunity after all especially when your victim could wake up any moment. Though she doubt Spy could wake up in this state now.
A small grin quickly upturned upon her lips as she watched the head lean more and more away from it’s stump. The esophagus, the spinal cord, the wind pipe and the brain stem all seemingly severed from the main functionality of the body. The command center so to speak. The head. The brain. How long could it survive before it completely turned to mush. How quickly does he have to act to get the head onto one of those devices?
All of her questions seemed to be answered the moment she thought of them. The head was quickly removed and placed onto a device but didn’t seem to wake. Shock surely played a part in that. As for the body, the Medi gun seemed to do wonders keeping it preserved in such a messy state. It was utterly, completely, fascinating to her about how far technology and medicine could go.
Letting out a small breath, the woman slowly clasped her hands together as she just observed everything.
Tumblr media
❝ My god... That... That was genius. I don’t think I’ll be able to fathom the technicalities but just seeing it in action was utter fascination. Though I must say- what was that in the syringe you have? As an anesthetist and generally someone who enjoys syringe use, I’d like to know, maybe just a tad. ❞

☤ ▉ ▏Patient || tfcsniper:
The old man let out a hum at the question, as if he was thinking long and hard about it. “Something you’ll have to deal with then, huh.” He had been on the job longer than she had been alive. In his mind he deserved the title and the anonymity it gave him. Plus, he hardly ever answered to his actual name any more. Sniper was his job, life and a name.
His moustache twitched as he smiled a little. “I’m sure your files will be fine considering I’d be the only one of this age with the name. Not hard to remember with a mind as young as yours.”
A slight furrow of the eyebrows at the answer. How stubborn. She’ll have to act more crafty than that to get a definite answer. What would the spy do in this situation? Surely he’d just dig through private files till he found the one he was looking for. But here, she was the one making the private files. This was no illegally obtained documents courtesy of the Administrator and Mann Co. This was the job of a woman’s front to be a medical physician with a fake degree and a fake clinic.
Perhaps she’ll torture it out of him, she was the only person at the clinic after all and there’d be no one around to come an aid an old man. Though she had to be careful. If this man truly was an employee of Mann Co., it means he’s tough just like every merc she worked with and against.
Tumblr media
❝ I’m sure you’re right but curiosity is such a childish emotion don’t you know. Wanting to know the unknown. It could be the reason of one’s downfall or uprising. Though I don’t want to get pessimistic in front of a patient, is there anything else you’d like to know? ❞
