I (hi I'm Roy) like to draw a lot for my stories and I share all of it here! This is also just a place where me and the cast can share some of the non-canon skits we make up with the characters.Offical page for the serious stuff: https://www.tumblr.com/pumpkin-genocide

(Characters in order: Robert Martin and Aldolpho, Kitty Feldzeig, Janet Van DeGraff, Robert Martin, Ace Paige)
There is a group that Ive referred to but never explained exactly who they are, so let’s meet Feldzeig’s Follies!!
imma be real with you, some of these characters come straight out of a musical 😔. Kitty, Alsolpho, Janet Van DeGraff, Robert Martin, and Victor Feldzeig all come from “The Drowsy Chaperone”. A while back, me and some of the cast of ANG were cast in The Drowsy Chaperone. We all really missed the show and, like any hyperfixation does, i subconsciously made a story for Kitty (the character that I played in Drowsy chaperone) that was really good that I just couldn’t not add it in. The other cast members chipped in with their characters story and here they are. Of course, there are slight changes to relationships and how things played out in the musical to make it a bit more believable, but for the most part I stuck true to how they act in the musical (except Adolpho he needed to CALM DOWN).
Feldzeig’s Follies is a traveling act that takes you back to that old jazzy showbiz era, when that burlesque dancer probably shot someone backstage but you’d never know that over the music and hollers from the crowd. Big band, swing, tap dance, the whole shabang and more! Is it a cabaret? Is it just one big musical with no consistent plot? No one knows but it sure is entertaining!
Their latest trip is to Gotham City. Star guest Robert Martin sings carols with the reoccurring sister act Murderers of Mingdol County’s Death Row; Kitty Feldzeig and Ace Paige. In honor of the death of Alice Paige 2 years ago, Ace Paige announces the first ever performance of his new single act; Alice in Wonderland. And on December 26th, the follies proudly presents their partnership with “Cloud-9 Studios” by bringing back former showgirl and now world-famous performer Janet Van DeGraff.
There are a lot of original character inserts with their own subplots that still connect to the main plot. I think it’s good to keep in mind the fact that this storyline purely is for our own entertainment and my influence on how the DC characters act mostly are from the DC media I consume (yummy yummy codotverse mm munch crunch Batman audio adventures tasty tasty mm mm MMM).

(absolutely hate the joker drawing I did but it’s the only one I have of him 😭)
Harley Quinn and the Joker are two of the characters that wont be frequently mentioned in the show like other rouges, and this being because I wanted them to be side characters that feel like they are the main characters in their own story, we just don’t know what the story is. That doesn’t mean they don’t have their own personal characterization that goes more in depth than just “goofy haha”, but I want them to be in their own world. Like these two are in their own silly sitcom while everyone else in Gotham are suffering and dying. I especially wanted Joker to have this situation where everyone is so scared of him and what he will do to Gotham next, but then we cut to someone knocking on his door and he walks out in his joker bath robe and joker fuzzy slippers, has his joker hair wrapped in a joker towel, with a joker facial mask and he just says “it’s joker-me-time!! What do you want?!?!”. He never is out of the joker attire, every outfit has to be on brand.
It’s talked about episode 3, but Harley Quinn and Joker are not together anymore during ANG. How I kinda imagine the two breaking apart isn’t because joker is manipulative or anything, I wanted to make them like that one middle school couple that literally have no feelings for each other but still are together for some reason. They’ve never kissed or even held hands, they were just like “yeah he’s/she’s my boyfriend/girlfriend” and that was the entire relationship. They are best friends though, but I want these two to be so off the theme of ANG that you wonder if they even should be in the show. My favorite example of this is from one of the season 2 scripts, I won’t spoil which episode but I’ll show you what it says:

This never gets explains but that’s the beauty about it. I wanted them to have their time to be goofy and silly. They’ve gotten to be bimbo x manipulator (Arkham series) and bimbo x bimbo- COUGH COUGH I mean a loving couple that love each other very much (Codotverse), let them be silly!!!!!!!!

another character rant and this time it’s Poison Ivy!!! I’ve only been able to draw her a few times and I can’t find my other drawings of her 😔. Some of her design choices come from the voice actors appearance (we love and appreciate you Taylor!!!!), and overall I just knew what I wanted her to look like when I worked on her character with Taylor. Like 100% yup this is it I don’t want anything else type of confidence.
character wise, she is also another interesting character that I play a lot with when it comes to dynamics. Poison Ivy is a lot like Two Face in ANG, being activists and wanting to change Gotham but in their corrupt and violent ways. But unlike Two Face, Poison Ivy is dead-set on what she wants and doesn’t care for criminal organization. She attacks the Mayor because of his mildly (extremely) sexist law-making decisions, she uses her vines to grab Zsasz before he attacks an orphanage and WWE style body slams (vine slams?) him into the ground repeatedly, and the list goes on. Now all of this is so girlboss of her and girlypop, but there has to be some sort of fault in her character, and that’s when we get to her characterization that deals with more of her personal struggles. I imagine Pamela as a bit out of touch with her feelings, and she finds “humans and empathy confusing” (lies and denial, she may be plant hybrid girl but she is human herself, she just doesn’t know how to control and communicate her emotions). I have her with my little group I like to call the “we don’t say we are human because others say we aren’t human but in actuality we just wanna be human like them” gang. They all have their own struggles with this type of outcasting, Waylon Jones totally not being my favorite and totally is not my favorite DC character of all time besides Harvey Dent and Charley Charley Horse (from Batman the audio adventures, he’s may get to be in ANG as well!!!).
Now, I can’t tell you the bigger part of her characters role in this story, but season 2 her will get a much bigger influence in the story. She won’t be in the asylum with the others at any point BUT don’t fret, she gets a character arc on her own without Ernest.

The Penguin was another one of those characters I was pleasantly surprised by when I heard Nick voice him. I feel like Nick captured exactly what I wanted him to sound like, and all I told him was “a mix between the Arkham game series Penguin and the Batman audio adventures Penguin.” Like the Mad Hatter and Killer Moth, he didn’t have much of a story until I heard Nick voice him. I really have to give credit where credit is due when it comes to some of these characters because without these voice actors, I probably would’ve just make half of these rouges two-dimensional and have one purpose for the story. They basically are my entire motivation to continue writing the scripts for episodes when I don’t really feel like it and they are really encouraging so thanks to the voice actors!!
Character-wise, I wanted to play off of the riddler and have a contrast between the two because of how much they interact. Both are very smart, rich, and successful in their own way. The thing that sets them apart is that they have a different “type of narcissism.” I don’t know the technical terms (that’s for later script writer me to find out) but Ernest will talk about this more in season 2. Oswald is the type of narcissist that views himself as above everyone, but is driven through insecurity and a craving for attention. Edward is the type of narcissist that won’t gloat over others and say he’s better directly, but rather manipulates and hurt people because he believes he is better than them. His narcissism is driven through his past inferiority, even if he denies it.
This dynamic also is played off with Two Face, being his character is all about his internal battle against himself and his drive to help. Oswald is so full of himself, he sometimes does things for his gain and doesn’t realize the consequences until it’s too late. This causes their alliance to be unstable, which is the only thing keeping these two from trying to kill each other all the time. I like the play with relationship dynamics like these a lot, so this type of dynamic where “they could be the same person but what sets them apart is []” is seen a lot. Calendar Man and Ellie, Poison Ivy and Two Face, Oliver Ruby-Blu and Ace Paige, the list goes on.
Anyways there’s my yapping for the day

I am a chronic Scarecrow lover, I’ll confess 😔. So here is my Scarecrow appreciation post!!!!!!!!
If you can’t tell by the way Caleb voices Scarecrow and how I draw Scarecrow, a LOT of my inspiration for him came from the Codotverse version of him (CHECK THEM OUT RN THEY ARE SO COOL ITS CALLED “Rouges! The Podcast”) but I wanted to take him a different direction than that version of Jonathan Crane. I won’t spoil too much about his story, but I will give you some things that I won’t be able to mention directly in the story but I really like:
Jonathan, in his younger years, tried to hide his southern accent so he could sound more professional in Arkham. But when he became Scarecrow (which I think he was 27 or 29 when he did), he fully embraced his accent.
Jonathan actually has no enemies with any of the rouges, he knows how to pick and choose his battles carefully. Even in his more “dangerous” years, he always thought 5 steps ahead.
As he ages, he becomes less like an insane guy who craves to see people in fear and more like a semi-sadistic scientist who wants to push the limits on fear. Modestly insane.
Like the codotverse version, he prefers gas over needles BUT he uses the needles as a last resort defense tactic, being able to both inject fear toxin and withdraw blood at will. This is more important during the turf day one-shot, but it’s good to keep in mind.
Yes, he braids his hair. We love that for him.
So what are the differences between codotverse Scarecrow and ANG Scarecrow?? Uuuummmm honestly can’t think of anything different between the two that wouldn’t be spoilers for later episodes so in conclusion there is no differences, I copy-pasted Codotverse Scarecrow, and I am a little dirty criminal thief who has no original ideas (not a single one) (no ideas or thoughts in this head yes sirr-ie) (zero brains zero rizz empty head)

Before I started the ANG series, I absolutely HATED Mad Hatter. To be fair I only knew the animated series and Arkham games versions, but I dunno they both were just greasy and icky to me. So when I casted Nate to do the Mad Hatter voice I was thinking I would just go for Disney Mad Hatter and be done with him. BROSKIS WHEN I HEARD THAT CLIP HE WAS SO SCRUNKLE AND LITTLE GUY CODED I JUST I I JUST I JUST HAD TO GIVE ME MORE!!:!:$:):7:?:83$382 you’ll hear him in episode 3 but literally he is just so sckrunkly cute and when I make the riddler do anything mean to him I’m always like “LEAVE THAT LITTLE GUY ALONE” but then make riddler do it anyway because the sckrunkle needs to calm down
