If you are making calls to Republican politicians about not supporting certain bills, remember to stick to Republican scripts. No trying to play on their emotions. Don't talk about people dying or marginalized people being hurt or anything like that. That doesn't work on them.

Instead, focus on:

Cost. These Republican bills have MASSIVE costs that either tax payers take the brunt of or it goes into the national debt.

Withholding your vote. You weren't going to vote for them anyway, but they have absolutely no way of knowing that. Even if you've said in other places, they are not researching every single person who calls to see who's a Republican. You're just another constituent using your vote as leverage. Take advantage of that.

Hard-working Americans/working class Americans/veterans/etc. Figure out the specific group of people that politician campaigns the hardest to and talk about them and how they'll be hurt by whatever is happening.

Trump's stupid fucking bill isn't cruel and evil and it's not going to kill millions of people, it's a huge financial strain that will drastically increase the national debt while hurting working class Americans who just need a bit of help and you would never consider voting for someone who would support it.

I think I truly am weird

my motivation for stuff isn’t “you can do it!” Or “it’s good for you! #slay”

no, mine was and still is making my self have a panic attack into doing things my motivationless brain doesn’t want.

as in when I was 12, I had a struggle with motivation. To the point I would do the bare minimum of changing clothes and going to school. rarely brushing teeth mind you. So what happened? After months of not brushing, I get cavities on the back of my four front teeth.

what made me get help from my mom? The fear of my teeth rotting and everyone laughing and my parents upset to the point they’d silent treatment me, meanwhile everyone still makes jokes and I’m a laughing stock

god forbid a girl tries thinking at night (I had a spiral and ended up telling my friends how I “felt like a god solely made of misery and agony” and things like that, couldn’t sleep till 12, rotted in my bed for the entire morning and afternoon till 2 pm, tried to contact the 741741 hotline to get some help cause nobody who I told cared to the point my best friend got sidetracked and rambled about her favorite show, got basically ghosted for an hour by the same hotline, and then proceeded to be recommended therapy by my friend who was afraid I was gonna kms and said I may have bpd)

gang I’m not sure if this is just me being freaked out or weirdly afraid but why is whenever I’m home alone, I get weirdly paranoid that I’ll turn the corner and see something poking out like it’s the monster from smile?? God forbid a girl watches a movie in peace, I gotta hear my Alexa randomly blast music without anyone saying so and me having an internal panic attack because I fear I’ll see some soulless monster with deeper than necessary eye sockets staring into my soul in the reflection of the back door or something 💀😭
