“Of course,” Marty told her with a nod, smiling warmly between both women. He stood there, listening keenly as the two women talked. It was clear they had a shared passion for film and he always enjoyed seeing Angeline passionate about something she loved. He listened then, as Emma spoke and nodded along. He’d known the history behind the film, Angeline having told him before they’d seen it. “OH, I’m sure you have,” Marty said then, giving her a genuinely warm smile.

He chuckled then, as she asked what he did. “I’m a divorce lawyer,” Marty replied with a grin. “Not nearly as interesting or fun as films. But I do own and run a law firm; founding partner of Aarons & Rothschild,” Marty explained, shrugging a little as he spoke. “But, that’s just work. What do you like to do for fun Emma? May I call you that?“ 

“Oh, but you must run into interesting people and situations quite a lot, in your line of work.” Emma remarked. She had no doubt a divorce lawyer to the rich and famous had seen it all. “Of course.” She considered the question. “Well, I’ll try anything once. I love to travel, hike, swim, surf, all of that. And my eldest’s gotten me into boxing. At home, I usually garden or read or — insufferable cinephile that I am — watch movies.” She smiled. "And how do you both spend your time outside work?”

Angeline listened intently as her husband and Emma conversed, enthralled by the woman. She sipped on her champagne, the smile never leaving her face as she watched the two. As each second passed, she became even more intrigued by Emma. There was something about her that excited Angie. It had been a while since she’d been so infatuated by another woman.

When asked about hobbies, the actress thought for a moment. “That sounds really nice. I for one should actually take a note of some of those, I’m always trying to find other ways to occupy my time when I’m not working, but I also enjoy yoga, reading... I try to keep active, so I do a lot of jogging too.” She chuckled, tucking a few loose strands of her blonde hair behind her ear. “Marty, though, I feel like has a better answer to that than I do.”

Marty stood beside Angeline, eyes taking in his wife and the other woman, Emma, as they greeted each other. He grinned then, when Angie’s eyes turned to his and he nodded, extending his hand to shake Emma’s. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. My name’s Marty, Marty Aarons,” Marty greeted, grinning warmly at the woman. “And Angeline is right, your film was wonderful. Not that I’m anywhere near as knowledgable on the subject as you and Angeline, of course,” Marty told her, hand slipping back around his wife, giving her hip a squeeze as he chuckled.

He glanced between them, taking the final sip of his drink and placing it down on a table. He’d heard of the brunette’s husband, who hadn’t heard of Alexander Gold but he’d never particularly paid much attention to the man’s work. In fact, until he’d started dating Angeline, he didn’t pay much attention to films and the actors that starred in them. He’d always had a more academic and musical approach to the world. But, the more he’d learnt over the years, the more he’d come to appreciate the art form.

“So, how does it feel? Finally seeing it on the big screen?” Marty asked curiously. “Everyone being able to see it now?” Marty mused, his questions obviously directed towards Emma. He knew vaguely, the history and he hoped what he was asking wasn’t insensitive in any way. The last thing he’d want to do was upset the other woman. 

Emma smiled at the couple warmly, mentally appraising them as she shook each one’s hand. “It’s wonderful to finally meet you as well, Angeline. I love your work, your choices of projects have been very interesting to see.” Turning to the actress’ husband, she gripped his hand firmly when he introduced himself. “The pleasure’s all mine, Marty,” she replied, smiling when they complimented her. “That’s very kind of you, I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed the film.”

Like any artist, Emma wanted her work to connect with the audience, to make an impact on them. She was always happy to hear it when people liked her work. And with this particular film, which was intensely personal, it held that much more significance. Of course, this being Hollywood, the compliments people paid weren’t always genuine. Angeline and Martin words seemed sincere, however. 

“It feels wonderful. There’s nothing quite like seeing your work on the big screen.” Emma would never tire of it. More than twenty years into her career, it was as much of a thrill as it had been at the premiere of her feature debut. “And in this case…it means a lot to my family and I, to have everyone see it. It’s bittersweet, but I feel that I’ve done right by my husband’s legacy.” She shrugged. “But enough about me. What do you do, Marty?”

Angeline grinned at Emma’s compliment. It meant a lot to her to receive feedback like that, especially when it was coming from someone as esteemed as the brunette. “Thank you so much. That’s lovely. I try to be diverse with my roles, so I’m really happy to hear you say that.” She replied delightedly. It was true, though, she was rather particular about the projects she took on and she was lucky enough to be at a point in her career where she could be picky, which couldn’t be said for most actors out there.

Her smile never faded as the conversation went on, nodding along as Emma spoke. She was extremely happy for the woman on the success of the film, as well as paying such a beautiful tribute to Alexander. It was a shock for everyone when he passed, and she couldn’t even fathom what losing a spouse in that way felt like. She really admired how strong Emma was.

“Oh, of course. You have absolutely done right, it was so beautiful. I’m sure he would be very proud.” The actress added, her tone with a hint of comfort to it before her gaze moved up to her husband.

despite their 21 year age difference, angeline fell in love with evelyn grant quickly. the older woman is a casting director and they met when angie was just 23, at an audition. besides scoring the role, she also acquired a date with the enticing woman. they dated for 4 years before tying the knot. for years, they lived blissfully and evelyn was someone who turned angeline into a star, with the help of the young blonde’s talent, of course. 

they were a power couple in hollywood, a force to be reckoned with. evelyn was very different personality wise to angeline, she was a total spitfire, aloof and came across as a ‘tough bitch’ to everyone. except angeline. to her wife, she was sweet, affectionate and doted on the younger woman. their love lasted through their 10 year marriage until angeline caught evelyn between the thighs of another woman.

after that, everything changed. angeline filed for divorce shortly after, which made the divorce rather messy. she was heartbroken by her wife’s actions and has never been able to forgive her. the cheating caused angeline to become insecure, jealous and it’s now harder for her to trust people.

angeline and evelyn haven’t seen each other for a while. the press and the world knew all about the demise of their high profile marriage, and the fact it was such a public divorce embarrassed angie in a way.

recently remarried, angeline is as happy as ever with her husband and hasn’t looked back.

Emma had been kept busy all evening, greeting the premiere party’s many guests — seemingly the whole film industry had arrived. And for good reason. Alexander had earned his reputation as a titan of acting ( and as a genuinely good man in an industry that so often bred arrogance and entitlement ), and this performance was being hailed as perhaps his best ever. The film as a whole was receiving similarly rapturous reviews. Emma felt a tremendous sense of relief and pride. It had been an ambitious, deeply personal project to begin with, but had become something on a different level when her husband had died soon after they wrapped. Post production had come to halt as she sought to pick up the pieces, and when Emma returned to the editing bay it had felt like she had a duty to him.

Realizing she had been lost in thought, Emma looked up, her eyes falling on the couple approaching — Angeline Aarons and her husband. By her estimation, the blonde was one of the better actresses working today, singularly beautiful in a way that recalled Ingrid Bergman, Grace Kelly, or any number of iconic leading women. And unlike many movie stars, she was no less striking in person. Emma greeted them warmly, extending a hand to each of them in turn. “Hello, how nice to see you.”

Marty’s suggestion caused Angie to raise a brow before nodding, biting her bottom lip ever so slightly at the idea. She wasn’t one to get nervous over meeting anyone, but somehow, this was different. It was kind of a rush, making the blonde a little giddy, almost as if she were developing a crush, even if the woman was someone she’d never actually met. Yet.

Simply smiling at her husband, she followed his lead towards the brunette, her eyes taking in the sight of her. At the woman’s greeting, Angeline’s smile grew as she shook the woman’s hand, squeezing on tightly to her husband’s as she did so. “Emma, hi. I’m Angeline, it’s so wonderful to meet you finally. My husband and I were just discussing the film, it was marvellous. A work of art. You should be so proud.”

As she spoke, she looked up at her husband for a moment to allow him to introduce himself. Her words were genuine, and she was thrilled by the fact that the film had already garnered rave reviews. It was well deserved.

Angeline had known Alexander Gold, not too well, but they had worked together when she was at the cusp of her career, a fresh face in Hollywood. He had always struck her as someone genuine. Someone people would remember with nothing but wonderful things to say, and it was obvious that he had an effect on the industry. Film premieres. In the life of an actress, they came frequently, and being one of the biggest stars Hollywood had to offer, Angeline Aarons was invited to a majority of them. Though, it wasn’t often that she actually attended, the woman was far too busy to accept every invitation that came her way. Tonight, on the other hand, was different. The premiere of the evening was for Emma Halévy’s latest project and truth be told, Angeline had always been intrigued by the brunette... by her work, the way she presented herself, but most of all, the blonde found herself to be incredibly attracted to the woman.

As of late, there’d been an idea floating around in her head, one she had discussed with her husband. Adding another woman into the mix, occasionally and to be honest? Emma seemed to be the perfect choice. She was exactly their type. All they had to do now was ask, that was going to be the interesting task.

With her man on her arm, Angeline scanned the room, blue eyes examining the people around her before she caught sight of the woman she was after. God, she was gorgeous. born in the heart of london, angeline is the eldest daughter of douglas and edith carter ( nee; hayes ), her father was an accountant and her mother worked as a flight attendant. they lived a modest life, and angeline was encouraged to work hard with her studies, as well as extracurricular activities such as playing cello, learning languages and attending acting classes, at the start, it was just a way to bring her out of her shell, but she proved to have a knack for it.

at age 11, the carter family moved from the united kingdom all the way to los angeles, usa for douglas’s work. the move was tough on the young girl at first, as she missed her friends and their life in london, but she soon adjusted to life as a californian.

when she was a teenager, angeline’s little sister was brought into the world, and from the moment she first saw her, angie absolutely adored her. they were best friends, despite the age gap between them.

angeline enrolled in a performing arts high school to hone her acting skills and she absolutely adored it. her teacher recommended her for an agency, where she scored a meeting with one of their top agents. soon enough, she was signed and began the auditioning process.

the first few years were tough, she worked very hard and only got small parts, but as the years went on and she graduated high school, angeline was accepted into julliard to major in drama, which was a big deal for her. it was her dream school and she did everything she could to even just get an audition with them, so upon being accepted, she was positively over-the-moon.

the move to new york city was incredibly freeing for her and at last, she finally felt independent, away from the constant criticism from her parents, she could finally be herself. she made lots of friends in college, worked 2 jobs as a waitress while she also auditioning for every acting opportunity she got.

into her early 20′s, she began to score more lead roles and started to get her name out there. as her fame grew, angeline met the woman who would eventually be her wife. they dated for a few years before they decided to get married, which they were obviously over ecstatic about, though, the difficult part was telling angeline’s parents, who were quite homophobic.

the announcement didn’t go well, and it resulted in her parents refusing to see her again and forbid her from being a part of her little sister’s life. that absolutely crushed angeline, but she wasn’t going to let her parents’ views stop her from marry the woman she loved.

they got married soon after and it was everything angeline she had hoped. she was beaming, though, the rejection from her parents was a major blow to how she viewed herself.

as the years went on, angeline’s career thrived and she became a household name. she has since been nominated for three academy awards, and has won one.

throughout her life and career, angeline has been very outspoken about gender equality and social issues, and has used her platform to speak out about it. she considers herself to be a feminist and regularly attends protests, and is a supporter of the #MeToo movement as well as various charities.

her marriage was going strong for a long time until things began to get tense. their jobs took priority and they lost the spark they once had. angie eventually filed for divorce, ending their 10 year marriage.

it wasn’t her intention, but it didn’t take long until she found love again. this time with her divorce lawyer, martin aarons. they have been together almost 3 years, and are now married. angeline is the happiest she has been in a long time and can’t imagine life with anyone but marty.

angeline is continuing to star in films, and has recently got into directing, which she has fallen in love with and plans to do much more of it, she hopes to one day spend more time behind the camera than in front of it, but at this point, she’s happy at the place she is in her career and feels privileged to have so many opportunities ahead of her.
