What if when they're going through the apartments in the tower looking for supplies and things they might be able to use, they find something off in Cindy's apartment? Like maybe there's a closet that's a foot shorter than it should be and when they knock on the wall it's hollow, so they know there's a false wall. Or maybe there's just a safe tucked away deep in the back of the closet. Or a loose floorboard.

And they go to Angel of course because it was his girlfriend’s apartment, but now Angel has to figure out how he wants to explain the weapons, fake IDs and passports, etc. to them because he totally forgot he stashed those there in case he had to disappear or something. Like just because he stepped away from the Family™️ doesn’t mean he was safe.

Michael doesn’t know anything about The Family™️ and Angel wants to keep it that way, but he’s well aware that his previous involvement along with just being his father’s son puts a massive target on his back, even though he’s stepped away and wants nothing to do with the family business anymore.

One day Angel goes missing and Michael is forced to call the phone number that Angel gave him, the one with strict instructions to never use unless it was a genuine emergency. He’s immediately sent to voicemail. He calls again and again until finally someone picks up.

And Michael is so stressed and pissed off that he just lets them have it. Honestly, he doesn’t even care that the guy is Angel’s estranged father because Michael’s boyfriend is missing and he just needs to know what he knows and if he’s going to help get Angel back.

AU where Angel survives the fall and maybe was picked up by Saul and Victor, but he never fully recovered so he walks with a cane or something. And they decided to publish “The Story of Survival” saying Angel died so that no one comes for him as the son of a powerful family member with him recovering.

Fast forward to Descendants where Michael is attacked and, should Angel Sr or Vincent be Michael’s killer, Angel’s instincts and skills from his training growing up in the family make him able to at least catch the attacker off guard just long enough for them to recognize each other. And Angel is just like “Dad?!” or “Vince?!”

No Apocalypse/No Zombie AU where Angel Sr. finds out that Angel is dating some guy named Michael Cross, and even though Angel has more or less distanced himself from the family his dad still feels responsible for figuring out who tf this guy is and what his intentions are with his son. He wants to make sure he’s not using him for his money and basically just scaring him straight. And by scare him straight I’m imagining Angel Sr. rounding up some of the more physically imposing members of the family and then breaking into his apartment to waiting there ominously for Michael to get back from class. And Angel Sr is just sitting back and doing all the talking, telling his people what to do. He’s pulling out all the stops to intimidate him, lowkey interrogating him and shit, becuase that’s still is son, his flesh and blood.

And then maybe Angels walks in with take out and is immediately horrified to find his bf getting a rather aggressive shovel talk from his dad and other relatives.
