the feminine urge to mourn lost cultures and empires. for your heart to ache every time you remember how many languages no longer have speakers, how many ruins are abandoned, how many people lived happy lives before you. to feel melancholy and longing every time you study history - of this world or another, even fictional. to want to play a role in history, but in the same time fear dying, passing, being forgotten like those thousands before you.

hello! i was wondering if u know of any fics where sherlock showers john with gifts? basically where he gives/buys john things to woo him/avoid having to tell him how he feels outright? sorry if this is too specific lol! thanks!
AHHHHHH I KNOW OF ONE and I cannot remember which one it was. It was one where Sherlock and Mycroft kept buying John increasingly ridiculous gifts, and like Myc stopped finally when Sherlock confessed. Can't remmy which one it is. AND there was another one that Sherlock got John gloves and John was super-touched by it. Can't remember.
I have these two similar fics:
Sibling Rivalry Or Fighting Over John Watson By Jessa7 (T, 8,085 w., 1 Ch. || Romance / Humour) – Mycroft is just as much of a genius as Sherlock is. He keeps randomly kidnapping John for chats, and the locations get better. Cue Sherlock’s younger sibling complex rearing up and jealousy ensues.
The Devil You Know by PipMer (T, 9,300 w. || Jealous Sherlock, Romance, Friends to Lovers) - Mycroft flirts with John. Sherlock gets jealous. John’s just along for the ride.
And this one has one where Sherlock makes Shampoo for John:
Corpus Hominis by mycapeisplaid (E, 47,709 w., 12 Ch. || PODFIC AVAILABLE || Case Fic, Fluff, Romance, Frottage, Angst, Anal, Blow Jobs, Rimming, Spas / Massages, Shampoo, Jealousy, Fake Relationship) - John knows the human body intimately. He’s had plenty of opportunity for study as a doctor, soldier, and lover. There’s one particular body, however, he knows very little about. When Sherlock launches himself head-first into a new obsession and they get sent on a case in an unlikely location, the pair discovers each other’s bodies with confusing yet delightful (and sometimes hilarious) results.
That's a good one too, LOL.
If anyone has any they can add, please do! <3 I would love more too.

“Ritual”
The last of the three illustrations I made last year for “Witchzine” fanzine. The theme was “Witches’ Pharmacy/Healing Witches”, so the idea of my illustrations was inspired by the preparation of a healing ritual.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows of fics where Aziraphael is the one pining for Crowley, and Crowley is the more reserved one. Thanks in advance!
Hi! Here is a selection of fics for you...
Something To Talk About by iamtheenemy (E)
He had the sudden and almost overwhelming desire to reach out and take Crowley’s hand. An absurd notion, of course. In 6000 years, Crowley had never shown any inclination towards physical affection for Aziraphale, despite their shared feelings. Aziraphale had long ago accepted that any gentle touch from him would have Crowley stepping hastily away and otherwise ignoring Aziraphale’s attempts. Or at least he had accepted it, until their delicate status quo had been disrupted.
Aziraphale jumps to some very inaccurate conclusions.
Too hot the eye of Heaven shines by squiddz (T)
Aziraphale paced around the back room of the bookshop, unable to decide what to do with his hands. He wasn't sure why he was so out of sorts, after all today had been a fairly successful day. Both he and Crowley had managed to outsmart their respective superiors, dodge an execution or two, and topped it off with a spot of food at the Ritz. A good day by anyone's standards, really. Crowley had walked him back to the bookshop as streetlights flickered to life above them, and then...
Well, that was just it, wasn't it? And then Aziraphale had said, "Alright then, have a good evening, dear boy. I expect I'll see you shortly."
---
Aziraphale bottles out of inviting Crowley in for a drink after their celebratory meal at the Ritz, and regrets it. And then decides to rectify the situation by knocking on Crowley's door...
Trip the Light by summerofspock (M)
What if it was Crowley that sheltered Aziraphale under his wing in Eden?
OR
What if Aziraphale fell in love first and Crowley took a little longer? Or a lot longer...
parallax by leaveanote (E)
It’s just to ensure Crowley’s doing it correctly, Aziraphale tells himself at first. To make sure he’s getting the miracles right. But when Aziraphale hides and watches Crowley perform his first miracle since his fall, Aziraphale finds instead that Crowley--oh, he was made for this. The love that brims from him when he is allowed at last to heal, to help, to save. A demon shouldn’t love performing Heaven’s work like this, should he? What else, then, is a lie? (Don’t ask questions.) Aziraphale can’t stop watching, through the centuries. Presently, Crowley catches him, and many, many truths come to light.
Five Nice Days (And One Accurate Confession) by improfem (E)
For most of their millennia-old acquaintance, Aziraphale has been aware that he is utterly, deeply in love with Crowley. For the entirety of their acquaintance, he has also been aware that demons, do not, in fact, experience love. So when a sick Crowley is in need of help, he is prepared to put centuries of pining aside and, once again, avoid talking about his feelings at all costs. That is, until the alcohol intervenes.
All the Time in World by Pennedbybee (G)
After the almost end of the world, everything was pretty much the same. Aziraphale was enjoying his freedom from Heaven, but it came with a price. It was getting harder and harder to not tell Crowley that he loved them, though he was sure they knew anyway. Aziraphale was just happy to be in Crowley's life and didn't want to do anything to jeopardize that.
Hidden Meanings by hirohamadugh (G)
Aziraphael has a bad habit: a he-keeps-putting-permanent-things-on-his-body-as-an-excuse-to-see-his-tattoo-artist kind of bad habit. And he's running out of skin to do it on.
