Went and did the back to school shopping because we officially got their teachers (our district is big on teacher specific items/wish lists 🙃). I ALWAYS buy the wish list items I don’t even care what it is. They could ask for a toaster and I’d be at target pricing them. Everything was on sale so it came out a lot cheaper than I thought it would. They both begged for new water bottles too so I got them. Gavin got a stranger things notebook 🥹 but I vetoed the video game pencil case 😭 I know a big distraction item when I see it 😂

Gavin got accepted to the advanced math track 🥹 so he will take 6th grade math instead of 5th grade math. And the one girl Cecilia became bff with this year is in her class again so she’s super happy about that (I am too!! They mesh well). I am looking forward to meeting her teacher too. I am not super familiar with the 1st grade team since Gavin’s 1st grade teacher works another position now so I wasn’t really holding out for one or the other. I am not familiar with any of Gavin’s teachers so I’ll have to ask some coworkers when school starts back up 😆

I had to DNF that John green book (The Anthropocene Reviewed) or whatever. He used to be my favorite author but I don’t want to read his thoughts 😅 it was so boring and I dreaded opening it. I RARELY DNF so that’s huge for me lol

Ok, so what's the procedure of getting your wisdom teeth out? Why all the fuss?

I mean, I’m no dentist but when I got it done it was an extremely painful procedure that took me 3 weeks to be able to eat normally. I also was high as a kite for it bc I had laughing gas and was unable to drive myself home sooooooooo……

I dunno it’s different for everyone though. My husband passed on laughing gas or being put to sleep, and opted for being numbed and also opted out of painkillers 😂 however, I felt like with a dental procedure where they extract impacted teeth, maybe a quiet day at home with no kids and a chauffeur (me!!!) would be a good decision.

Dan is getting wisdom teeth out this morning and they called him a full half hour after he was supposed to be there (after they switched his appt to an earlier time) and they call his name and he says “can I go to the bathroom first” like what you’re been sitting here for 30 minutes??????!???

Lolololol and then his mom texts asking if they can come over today?!?!? No ma’am the kids are not even here (they’re with my mom because ya know she’s the grandma that helps. I thought it would be easier to not have them home during this day) and your son is literally getting 2 teeth ripped out of gums as an anxious/autistic 41 year old because you as the mother did not advocate for him to get them all out as a teen!!!

Also an older gentleman and his wife are playing videos on their phone in the waiting room and the one sounded like porn. 👍🏼
