Week 4 - field trip and the document is done

Anyhow! Our group went on a wee field trip

Also!!!! Finished the clothing section of the doc, hell yeah !!!! 32 pages of dresses and painting references 💪😏😏😏

Team update: we’ve finished our animatic after very valid feedback from the group discussion! We had a plot hole and we changed some shots! More feet !!! More feet!!

Week 3 - Prop Design and BeatBoarding

Week 3 is a blaze!

I’ve finally started on the Godforsaken 18th Century Context Document 😭 trying to not get caught up in the details but my brain is trying to condense the whole geopolitical atmosphere of 1700s Britain into a doc - I’m going insane 🤠

Cheeky wee beat boards I did even though I’m not on the storyboard team!!! Tbh I was getting frustrated with how slow the progress was with the storyboard we so i did this to get people kickstarted

Week 2 - Research time! And announcing our Pitch

We settled on the Highway Woman Pitch and our show-runner has gone insane and written a script and given our characters names, whoo!

Style: Rococo inspired, Mid Georgian Era, Over the Garden Wall/ the Black Cauldron/ Castlevania (because I’m obsessed) /Highway men and 80’s New Romantic inspo (STAND AND DELIVER!!!)

What I’ve done so far: Costume research! And committed to making a Georgian Era Master doc (Edit from the future: you’ll regret this and won’t finish it)

Concepts: potential Scottish folklore addition in the plot (maybe our girl could be The Wulver)

Feedback from group discussion: a bunch of recommendations for inspo! And also a lecture on horse strides - someone has offered for us to visit their horses 😈

Week 1 - Choosing the Pitch

First week back! Summer was way too long and I’m looking forward to this year honestly. It’s a lot more work but finally we get to be creative after learning all the basics :)

Our lecturer explained our brief which is different from what they’ve done previously and honestly it’s so cool! We are being put into groups of 6-7 and work together on a TV show pitch which we will present to actual studios !!!! Insane

So far my team is lovely! There’s a few cool ideas floating around but there’s a specific one that’s catching everyone’s attention: a Georgian Highway(wo)man mystery 👀 potential British Class romance - fun dresses - research !!

Anyhow, so far so good 🫡 but it’s only week one
