i’ve been catfished over my summer like 3 years ago. he catfished me and after i stopped talking to them because they were just overall abusive, their “brother” and “friend” who they also catfished as, told me they committed suicide. i felt a great loss and cried nonstop to only find out he was catfish. i contacted the real dude, but i got no response and never got to figure out who it was. please take time for yourself off of media and take care of yourself. 💓

I’ve been mentally fucked up for the past few days, and idk if I have a right to...

I was struggling with even posting about this cause I do not want to disrespect the people involved and the loss they are feeling. I just...I can’t get my mind together lately after what has happened. 

I got catfished. Found out after 5+ years of being on and off with them. It only happened recently that the shit hit the fan. Anyways I contacted the real person in the pictures, including the real guys girlfriend who the fake guy had sent pics of saying it was his ex. Long story short I friended them on fb after we sorted through everything and we never spoke since.

However, 8 days ago the real guy in the pictures, the guy I had sworn I was speaking to for 5+ years...passed away. I have been so mentally messed up because I feel a sense of real loss even though I never knew him. I feel like I had been connected to him but never really was. I struggled to post this because my loss and how I feel is NOTHING compared to those who knew him, especially his girlfriend and his son. I have been sending them love and prayers ever since I found out. I never reached out because I felt it wasn’t right, but I truly am sending all my love towards them.

I felt like I had to post this because in a world like today, I don’t know how many others may have felt a loss like this where you are insanely upset and sad about someones death whom you never knew but just felt like you had. Idk, maybe I have no right to feel anything. I mean no disrespect by posting this at all, I know what I feel is only a centimeter of what those who truly knew him are feeling but it’s just been weighing on me heavy lately.
